I have a 2025 Frame TV and am thrilled that I can use my Apple TV remote to control everything on my TV. Well almost everything: I can’t change picture mode and I like to switch between Standard (for sports and news) and Movie (for shows and movies). Any way to do that with the Apple TV remote?

Moving from a 3TB iMac to a 1TB Mac Mini.

I have a 1.1 TB music library - mostly from when I burned most of my CDs over 10 years ago. It is too large to qualify for Apple Match, which is not really a problem since I don’t drive often and I have an old iPod that’s in great shape for flights.

In order to simplify things I’m considering my library because a New Library which will be mostly downloads from Apple Music and stored on the Mac Mini and a Legacy Library stored on an external Hard Drive (not solid state)

This will allow me to add music to my library with messing with Match, while also saving significantly on storage for the Mac Mini (over thousand dollar difference between 1TB and 4TB)

Does this make sense? Also if i got a large enough external drive could I partition it and use half for Time Machine and half for the legacy library? Trying to cut down on desk clutter.
