It’s dumb to root for a team whose players aren’t from the area.

To begin: I am not a huge sportsball fan.

But I do remember rooting for my local MLB team as a kid, and I always thought it was so cool that a few of the star players were from towns right down the road.

As an adult, I grew to find it bewildering that folks rabidly supported a team consisting of 30 people from other states and even countries. Then, five years later, half of them have been traded with other folks from out of state, and people support the team still.

I think it’s dumb to root for a team if the players ain’t even from your state. Like… what are you rooting for? A logo? A mascot? What’s there to take pride in? Your team was able to buy the best players? Stupid.

How about an opportunity to take pride in the people of your state? I’d like to see players for a major team (MLB, NHL, NBA, NFL, etc) who have lived in that team’s state for a minimum of ten years. It would make it a true HOME TEAM, not simply in name but in personnel as well. It could also make for some interesting challenges to overcome, bolstering efforts in the state’s sports programs to pump out truly great athletes.

Again, I’m not a sportsball person, and perhaps I’m completely off my rocker, but it makes sense in my twisted mind!

What are the main Season 2 and 3 buffs/nerfs balance changes?

Hi guys, took a break from the game in S1/2 I think when Bastion was gigabuffed in recon mode. Gonna read the patch notes later but thought I'd ask for the quick and dirty on who has been buffed, nerfed, etc. til today since I think there were several rounds of patches, several hotfixes, and Stadium changes I don't care much about. I heard Moira and Rein were super strong right now in 5v5, and Bastion's early gigabuff got nerfed to an acceptably improved level.

Thought this could be good meta discussion since I normally keep up with Spilo for patch note updates, but just in the last month alone I think he has like TWO HOURS worth of balance change video to get through lol.

I'm in diamond on my main roles and play both 5v5 and 6v6 so I'm guessing I'll see both actual high rank changes and metal rank changes affect my games. Trying Shion lately and she's so fun.

Season 15 worth picking up on?

Hey all, I see season 15 is on Netflix. I’ve watched 2-3 seasons before (I forget which ones, one was with the fat guy who just starved in the cold in his lol rock shelter and it was boring). Is this a good one to jump back into? If not I may give Season 11 a try. I don’t see any Season 15 discussion here at all which is weird.

[Routine Help] 41M, want to start a basic routine I age and reduce inconsistent pigmentation - how do I use this slate of products?

Hey all, 41M. I’ve aged well and look young for my age but as I get older I notice after being in the sun for a bit the tan edges look more severe and I notice some spots of uneven pigmentation. Just want to start a generally healthy routine. Light-ish skinned Latino. I have oily skin and rarely wash my face except in the shower in mornings with pH neutral body wash (sorry) and I use a pH neutral cheap moisturizer after I shower.

At a friend’s recommendation I got the following products, how the hell do I use them?

- Sunscreen (this one is obvious)

- Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 from The Ordinary

- 20% Vitamin C serum from Skincyclopedia

- 1% Retinol in Squalane from The Ordinary

- 30% AHA and 2% BHA peeling solution from The Ordinary (tried this one - it stings but it’s kind of fun)

How the hell do I use all this? The instructions say morning and/or evening for most of these and apparently I shouldn’t combine Vit C and Retinol - I’m guessing this means at the same time?

What would you all recommend as a daily/weekly routine with these? Anything basic missing? Assuming after I use these I should moisturize, and use sunscreen before going out? Do I put them on my neck and ears too or just my face? How much. Do I put on?

Thanks!
