₹1,00,000 ($1,165) First Gaming PC Build – Ryzen 5 5600 + RTX 5060. Is AM4 Still Worth It in 2026?

What will you be doing with this PC? Be as specific as possible, and include specific games or programs you will be using.

Mainly gaming.

Games:

  • Valorant
  • CS2
  • Rocket League
  • Fortnite
  • Apex Legends
  • Minecraft
  • Propnight
  • RV There Yet

Target is 1080p high refresh rate gaming (180Hz monitor) with high graphics settings where possible.

What is your maximum budget?

₹1,00,000 (~$1,165 USD)

Budget is somewhat flexible, but I don’t want to spend money on unnecessary overkill parts.

What, exactly, do you need included in the budget?

Everything:

  • PC
  • Monitor
  • UPS

No peripherals needed (keyboard, mouse, headset, etc.).

If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing?

None. Everything will be purchased new.

Extra info or particulars:

Current build:

  • Ryzen 5 5600
  • RTX 5060 8GB
  • Gigabyte B550M H
  • 16GB DDR4 3200 (2×8)
  • 1TB NVMe SSD
  • DeepCool AG400
  • DeepCool PL550D PSU
  • DeepCool CC360 ARGB
  • LG 24GS60F 180Hz Monitor
  • APC BX1100LI UPS

Total Cost: ₹1,00,000 (~$1,165)

Photo with prices attached.

I’m mainly looking for feedback on:

  • Component selection
  • Compatibility
  • Potential bottlenecks
  • Reliability
  • Upgrade path
  • Any obvious mistakes before I order

Since this is an AM4 build, would you still recommend it in 2026, or would it make more sense to move to AM5 instead?

Is this build well-balanced for my use case, or would you change anything?

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks! 😊

Selling PlayStation 5 (Disc Edition) – Like New | Under Warranty Till May 2027

Selling my recently purchased PS5 in absolutely brand-new condition.

Warranty: Valid till 27 May 2027
Condition: Not even logged in or used once.

I originally planned to start a small gaming café and purchased the PS5 along with several games. Unfortunately, the shop space I was supposed to get was allotted to someone else, so the plan was dropped.

The PS5 has never been used. The box was opened only because the store required it for warranty/yellow card documentation.

Included Disc Games

(As shown in the photos)

Included Digital Games

It Takes Two
Phasmophobia
DOOM (2016)
Assassin’s Creed Mirage
EA FC 25
Forza Horizon 5
Alan Wake
Days Gone
Untill Dawn

The PSN account containing these games has never been logged into this PS5.
The buyer will receive:
PSN Account
Email ID associated with the account
Account credentials

Since I no longer have any use for it, ownership will be transferred completely.

What You’ll Get
PS5 Slim Disc Edition Console (2116 Model - Matte One)
2 Controllers
Original Accessories
Disc Games
Digital Games
Original Bills/Invoices for everything

Bills available for:
Console
Accessories
Games

Reason for Sale:
I genuinely have no interest in gaming, and with the gaming café plan cancelled, the PS5 would simply sit unused.

Price: ₹40,000
Slightly negotiable for serious buyers.

Considering the condition, warranty remaining, accessories, and included games, it’s a great deal for anyone looking for a near-new PS5 setup.

Note :- The PS5 Discs are Completely New and Sealed
The Ps4 discs are also new only 1 or 2 I purchased from my friend are a bit used but I guarantee they are scratchless

Should I get a gaming laptop or build a PC for casual esports gaming?

I already have:

  • MacBook Air for productivity
  • PS5 for AAA games

This setup would ONLY be for:

  • Valorant
  • CS2 maybe
  • Minecraft
  • casual gaming with friends

So should I go for:

  • Gaming laptop or
  • Desktop PC build?

ALSO which specs shall I look for?

And what would be the ideal budget for this use case with absolutely ZERO overkill? (BUDGET AINT an issue but dont wanna overspend)

Need advice: What device should I get specifically for Valorant + Minecraft in college?

Need advice: What device should I get specifically for Valorant + Minecraft in college?

Hi guys, I need some genuine advice.

I’ll be joining medical college in around 3–4 months. I love gaming and currently have a PS5 for AAA/story games. I also recently bought a MacBook and iPad mainly for college/study purposes.

At home, I play story games on my PS5 a lot, so that side is fully covered. The problem is that I really miss playing Minecraft and Valorant with my friend group. Minecraft runs decently on my MacBook, but Valorant obviously isn’t an option.

Once college starts, I most likely won’t take my PS5 with me, and realistically I know I won’t get much time for long story games either. So I feel games like Valorant and Minecraft would make more sense in hostel/college life since I can just hop in for short sessions with friends.

Now I’m confused about what to buy specifically for these two games:

  • Should I get a Windows gaming laptop?
  • Would owning both a MacBook and a Windows laptop feel impractical or weird?
  • Or should I consider a handheld gaming device instead?

Please don’t suggest a desktop PC, since that won’t fit my college/hostel situation.

Would really appreciate practical advice from people who’ve been in a similar situation.

MacBook Air 13” vs MacBook Pro 14” for MBBS college — is ₹40k extra worth it?

Hi everyone,

I’m going to MBBS college soon and I’m planning to buy a MacBook. My main setup would be: iPad for notes/studying, and MacBook for binge watching, basic college work, browsing, PDFs, and normal day-to-day use.

I’m confused between these two options:

  1. MacBook Air 13" M5 — 16GB RAM / 1TB SSD / 10-core CPU / 10-core GPU
  2. MacBook Pro 14" M5 — 16GB RAM / 1TB SSD / 10-core CPU / 10-core GPU

After discounts and GST claim, the net difference is around ₹40,000.

I don’t really have a very tight budget issue, but I also don’t want to overspend on something that might be overkill for my use case. The 120Hz display and better speakers on the Pro are definitely tempting, especially for media consumption, but the Air’s thin and lightweight design also feels very practical for college.

So I wanted to ask:
For my use case, is the MacBook Pro actually worth the extra ₹40k, or would the MacBook Air be the smarter buy?

Would really appreciate honest suggestions from people who have used either of them. Thanks!
