How this works: Free 5GB eSIM data from aloSim for Windscribe PRO users only

Saw this in another forum. Not sure how this works as some say you need to be a new customer, but that seems vague to me. Does that mean new account or new purchase customer and more. I know with some eSIM providers you can purchase the eSIM but you don't install the eSIM or activate it until you're ready to use it. Below are the links.

How long are you waiting for your CCTS complaint to be addressed?

In the past (before the layoffs) I had a response from Rogers/Shaw within a day or two at most. Now, it's been about two weeks and still nothing.

Accessing Shaw Billing/account portal

https://preview.redd.it/zz7kp4cocqch1.png?width=1082&format=png&auto=webp&s=514124bf229a9251dc73263027f9dfaf842a1086

I was earlier today in my Shaw account and I received email 2FA as normal, but the SMS option to my mobile number is greyed out, so I don't know if this is normal.

I waited to received the 2FA and I hadn't. I tried several times and resent it, but nothing. I thought maybe there was a Shaw email outage but no, I sent myself multiple emails to my shaw.ca account and it works fine.

I called support, and not surprisingly, they didn't understand what was going on. I had them create a ticket and provide me an interaction ID (now it starts with CCS—interesting prefix) and sometime next week, I'll be contacted.

I'm now locked out of my account. I can't change my phone settings and more.

Not sure if any else experienced this but I thought I would share.

Edit: 90 minutes later the multiple 2FA codes were received and I didn't have any issue logging back into my account.

Recent experiences with Sushi Garden — Highgate

Lately, I've been hearing many negative comments from loyal customers to this location. Kinda of wondering if these are one-offs or something has changed with the management/staff.

TiviMate on Firestick (1st and 2nd) Gen

Hello everyone.

The online Eyeptv community recommends TiviMate but I noticed recently both the first and second gen of Firestick have blocked many IPTV players (in addition to other apks).

At first, I get a message warning me about these apps and to uninstall it. Then, after a short period of time, it locks me out. if I don't remove it. Uninstalling and reinstalling doesn't help.

I'm wondering if TiviMate is currently working given that it's probably only a matter of time before Amazon blocks it unless they stop.

Can't reach google password manager — passkey issues

This error just surfaced after a random in Google Chrome "reset" one day recently after seemingly a Chrome update. It wiped everything and I had to resync. I didn't think nothing about the passkey issue it at the time as I didn't need to use it.

I did some basic troubleshooting and My Windows 10 Hello passkey works fine, Chrome passkeys work fine on iPhone and Android. But it seems only Windows PC passkeys are affected saved to Chrome — I think.

I created a new Chrome profile and I was not successful in solving this passkey issue. I get the same error message: "Can't reach Google Password Manager, try again later". The funny thing is I can reach Google password manager (GPM) but not via passkey access. I can also change my GPM PIN but the Google prompt is stuck showing only my Android tablet.

Not sure if Chrome is corrupted at the Windows 10 registry level. But this issue is new and passkeys worked without issue until now. Troubleshooting with AI suggests no. To clarify, a Windows Hello passkey works for my Gmail/Google accounts. Everything works fine if I use my tablet and iPhone for passkeys.

Additionally, I wasn't able to create a passkey through Windows for Reddit, the authentication by Google insisted on using my other device PIN (there isn't one) to verify. It wouldn't prompt me to use my Google Password manager PIN. So I used Bitwarden instead to create a passkey.

I first posted in the Chrome sub but it was removed and told use another sub like here.

Hopefully, the wise folks here have some insight to help troubleshoot. Right now, I am using Bitwarden for Chrome as a workaround.

What do people in Taiwan use to track consumer deals, promos, and price drops?

Hi all, I’m trying to find the local sites, forums, boards, or apps people use to track hot deals, promos, and price drops for general consumer stuff.

I mean something in the same spirit as deal forums like USA's Slickdeals or Canada's RedFlagDeals, but I’m not assuming there is a direct Taiwan equivalent.

I’m mainly interested in convenience-store promos, supermarket deals, restaurant deals, household items, drugstore or beauty promos, and coupon-style offers.

I’ve already seen PTT, Dcard, Shopee, PChome, Momo, Ruten, and Gomaji mentioned, but I’m not sure which ones people actually check for real deals rather than just regular shopping.

If there are specific boards, apps, price-comparison sites, or forums worth bookmarking, direct links would help.

PSA: Avoid Costco Willingdon/Brighton this weekend if you value your sanity

Tried to do our weekly "chore" run yesterday around 7pm and it was a total disaster. The lot was 100% jammed and vehicles on Still Creek waiting to their turn to get into the the lot. We pivoted to Brighton thinking it might be better. Nope, same story.

I know it’s Mother’s Day weekend, but I haven't seen it this chaotic in a long time.

Save yourselves the headache and avoid Costco if you're driving or arrive around 9 AM.
