Had a stowaway

Found a little bean leaf beetle in the car about an hour away from the last stop. He was promptly freed at a gas station. Hope he survived. (He's native dw)

2 clownfish died overnight

This is my first ever saltwater tank so I am open to criticism and advice, just want to know what may have happened so it won't happen again.

I have a year old 37 gallon cube tank that was stocked with 2 clownfish, a brittle star, an emerald crab, and various snails. Yesterday as I was checking on the fish and feeding everything seemed alright and neither of the clownfish looked ill in any way.

Today when I was coming in to do a water change both of the clowns were lying down on the sand behind the rocks. (They've been in this tank for about 8-9 months) The brittle star and the snails are fine, although I haven't seen the emerald crab since I got it about a month ago.

I finished my water change and checked water parameters which ended up being this -

7.8-8 pH (trying to bring it up a bit for the corals)

0 ppm Ammonia

0 ppm Nitrite

3-5 ppm Nitrate

I'm still having issues with algae and vermetid snails (which I got bumblebee snails for) I do have a couple corals in the tank (can't remember what exactly) and a saw blade macro algae.

The clownfish are still technically alive but very sick looking, breathing but just lying there. Should I wait and see if they recover after the water change, or should I remove them?

Walked in the house to a gift 😭

She likes to pick things up when we come home, usually it's shoes or a toy, but today she managed to get her little snoot on an empty coke can. She never destroys anything she picks up, but I still took it from her in case she broke it and cut herself in the sharp edges.

How exactly do the genes of an Aussie work?

So my girl is a black tri but she has almost no white on her, just a tiny bit on her nose and a salt and pepper belly + chest, how exactly does this happen? I was under the impression that black tris typically have very obvious white patches.
