I'm 17, 70KG and 6'1

Been training for five months. I'm told I'm making slower progress than everyone else but I'm satisfied regardless.

Edits to the photo: some preset filter from PicsArt that looked the best. Background removed and changed to green and an album cover to hide my face.

What do you think of Ghamidi?

https://preview.redd.it/nakfio2eganh1.png?width=900&format=png&auto=webp&s=c77a7098c29791b2fdd3faaa8581f017ac114977

Javed Ahmed Ghamidi is an Islamic scholar who was once a part of the Pakistani board responsible for giving legal sharia compliant advice to the Pakistani government called Council of Islamic Ideology. He now has a youtube channel and an institute for Islamic studies called Al-Mawrid. He rejects armed jihad led by insurgents, Blasphemy death sentence, ban of music and art, and theocracy.

He also has a realpolitik lens on issues like Palestine-Israel. Where he emphasizes that rationality is important in resolving these issues instead of vaguely expressing emotional or religious reactions. For example he advises stand unorganized insurgencies. Instead promoting realistic diplomacy striving for peace and two states. He advises them to focus on reconstruction. As per him, Jihad is only valid on the state level.

I'm honestly surprised someone like him exists in Pakistan and isn't dead yet. I was even more surprised to learn he was once part of Council of Islamic Ideology. I think even western Islamic scholars aren't usually as lenient and rational as him.

If I'm to drop my personal thoughts here, I think more people like him should be promoted as leaders of our Islamic movements and clergy. He definitely seems like one of the more pragmatic and progressive Islamic scholars.

But the question for me is, how to promote such people? How can we convince more people to adapt to these ways?

8K Budget Skincare for Forehead Acne and Uneven Skintone

Hi guys! I asked AI to make me a list of products I need to fix specifically my forehead acne plus general skin issues like uneven tone. It recommended a routine using niacinamide and salicyclic acid in my moisturizer, serum and cleansers.

The list of chemicals it recommends:

  • Salicylic acid 2% (BHA) → unclogs pores and directly targets comedonal acne.
  • Niacinamide 5–10% → helps oil regulation, inflammation, post-acne marks and barrier function.
  • Humectants/barrier ingredients such as hyaluronic acid + panthenol → keep your skin from becoming irritated by acne treatments.
  • Broad-spectrum SPF 50+ → prevents acne marks from becoming darker and protects the skin.
  • A gentle cleanser → removes sweat/oil without destroying the barrier.

---

I want to buy a skincare set consisting of these, does anyone have an idea which products should I buy? I was thinking about buying all of them from something like BnB Derma (I used to use them before). But I was advised against that by some people.

The Al-Zutt who slept with Muhammad could be a diaspora from modern day Pakistan

https://preview.redd.it/8csiw87h72mh1.png?width=1090&format=png&auto=webp&s=e32a49d78218c44c491e9aa8b91cdcdb433844c9

This hadith is the famous hadith known as "Night of the Jinn". It is from Musnad Ahmad and is commonly graded as Sahih. A link: https://sunnah2.com/262 .

lthough the word "ride" here doesn't have to strictly mean that Muhammad had sex with these people. As it can be used in classical arabic to mean pressing closely or crowding. Thus the word "ride" being sexual here, is unilaterally rejected by every scholar in my knowledge. There's also a Quranic description of this event, which says "the Jinn almost became about him a compacted mass" to show eagerness for his recitation.

https://icraa.org/jinn-crowd-in-prophet-misread-hadith/

It is still often used by people critical of Islam to suggest that Muhammad had a sexual encounter with the Al Zutts. An unislamic read about this event: https://thyreon.com/al-zutt/ (again this literal translation is rejected by Muslims)

Assuming that is true. I wanted to bring to light a theory on who were the Al Zutts. Whilst it is still debated by a minority on where they were from, they're most likely to have been a Jatt Diaspora from Sindh and Southern Punjab. Both of which are located in modern day Pakistan.

Being Pakistani and with most Ex-Muslims on reddit and discord being Pakistani, this makes it 10x funnier for me.

Thank you for reading this slop. Correct me wherever I was wrong in the comments

Affordable A Levels Schools in the Islamabad-Rawalpindi (Bahria-DHA) region

Hello people! I just completed my IGCSEs and am looking for affordable options for A levels. Most schools are charging 60K and above, I'm wondering if there's a tad bit cheaper option. My grades aren't the best so fee

Also I'm looking for a proper school, I've already tried that academy / private route, it requires alot of discipline and didn't work for me.

A question for senior full stack software developers

Hey y'all! I'm not employed yet but I'm literate with Next.js & related technologies, just enough to ship my own projects. But on Youtube I see these people pulling off crazy projects like a full stack n8n clone, a full stack supabase clone with Nest.js and Next. A react native + express food delivery app by the same creator etc. I've only relied on Firebase and Supabase, even them I find annoying and difficult to work with sometimes. Whilst I see people coding their own backend(s) seamlessly with multiple different solutions (frameworks), how!?

It begs the question in my head, how did those who are so proficient in multiple technologies get to learn all of this? What type of resources did you use? Experimenting on your own using documentation? Blogs? Youtube videos? If your answer is most of those, which resource do you believe helped you the most? Or what was your primary resource?

Also I would love if anyone can guide me on how to find resources like articles or books for learning modern development. I find it very difficult to find quality written content about the new technologies nowadays. I think it will be more helpful for learners than YT.

Got an interview, worried about age barrier

Hey guys! I applied to a local outsourcing company as a React Intern. I got an interview but I'm like 16 and without a degree (i mentioned that i was still doing A levels on my resume and when applying). I'm worried about them raising that at the interview. Also I want to know how do interviews usually play out in such companies. I'm sure it's very different from the tech companies

17, self-taught web developer. What's the best path to earning income before university?

Hello everyone! I'm 17 years old currently and have gotten a couple of projects setup using modern web technologies like Next.js and Typescript. I'm still in my A Levels and I'm trying to get an internship or a very junior position already for my skill set. Since I can't get a bachelors yet, I'm not eligible for a lot of listings. My only goal is to get an income stream doing something I'm good at and enjoy doing. I guess the job market is already fried so a good candidate wouldn't have that many chances either.

I've freelanced before and made some money, but nowadays it has gotten very difficult to find clients. Which is why that is not an option. It isn't very stable for me since I only got one 100$ client all year this year.

SaaS and Solo development, I'm considering getting serious about. Selling my own products. But I likely won't be able to get payment gateways running since I'm a minor. Although there can be workarounds with Crypto. This will only work for niche developer products and will lower sales. What I'm trying to convey is, there are barriers here too.

Does anyone have any advice or suggestions for me? Or people in my situation in general. What should we be focusing on?

Next.JS Developer | Looking for Internships

Hi guys, before you read this post. I'm not an adult yet, I'm just starting A levels. If that sits well with you, I'm looking for an internship. In-person if in the Bahria/DHA Twin Cities region but remote works too.

I'm comfortable working with Next.JS, Typescript, Supabase/Firebase, Express, Tailwind CSS, Discord API etc. I've freelanced in the past and monetized some of my work. I've also worked in a team before that utilized ClickUp and Github for management. Thus I know how to use Git and Github efficiently as well.

Portfolio

Here are some of my past projects:

WikiBinge: An opensource alternative to social media that utilizes Gemini Embedding API and various Wiki APIs to recommend quality reads from Wikipedia. It still requires more development and I'm continuing the project on the side.

https://www.reddit.com/r/SideProject/comments/1uo1mjx/a_healthier_alternative_to_social_media/

Blitzkrieg Monitor: This project uses a custom API made using Nitter to scrape twitter and fetch quality OSINT data. It also scrapes google maps using Puppeteer to fetch popular timings for each Pizza shop near Washington. Whilst I also connected NewsData.io, Polymarket and AirNav APIs for various other features.
https://www.reddit.com/r/SideProject/comments/1qs14iu/open_source_geopolitics_monitoring_hobby_project/

You can contact me for more past works and proofs, but these are just the ones I chose to feature.

I've also made discord bots for servers (and made decent money from it). I made the bot for a freelance marketplace server (not owned soley by me) which hosted 700+ members. I'm really proud of that project but unfortunately the server discontinued. Have a screenshot of the bot's features perhaps

Thanks for reading!
