And yeah I mean it , YujivsDenji would be peak with this. Yuji would get some actual good characterization instead of mischaracterizing him the whole fight and wouldn't have felt like "Denji ft. Yuji"

It's something I honestly find kinda odd because most of the time authors don't do shit like this , they keep it ambiguous on whether they could happen or not while knowing damn well their just friends, so they end up getting a ton of hate when the ship doesn't become canon (Kubo when IchiHime became canon , Horikoshi when Izuocha became canon etc)

But not Gege lol, straight up said "She doesn't like him , don't get your hopes up about them becoming a thing and harassing me when it doesn't"

(I am a pretty big bleach fan and an Ichigo glazer (Ichigo is my favourite character in bleach) and seeing him lose to Naruto was sad as hell and I disagreed but it was wtv)

(Context : This is my (late) rabbit , Thumper ! He died just recently and I haven't been well since (although I post online like normal to cope a Lil bit) but I thought of making a meme using him . Why ? Well when he was still here , I always made jokes about how he could solo fiction (Because he meant so much to me, he was basically my son). I planned to make a meme about it but I procrastinated on it . Now I'm doing it as a way to honor him a little)

(This isn't even the 1% of what I wanna say but I just wanted to give the necessary context , I don't wanna accidentally truma-dump)

When I started reading chainsaw man , It always stuck out to me . As someone who overall prefers JJK over CSM , even JJK didn't stick out as much to me because early JJK was legit your average shounen manga (Sure , later half it piqued my interest because it was starting to separate itself from that) but early chainsaw man felt different

It didn't have a forced school setting like other shounens and seemed a lot more chaotic and subversive. Makima is one of the best villains I've seen , genuinely shows you that you can make psychopathic characters and give them good writing.

The side characters felt real and didn't feel like characters that only existed because the MC needs them . Chainsaw man part 1 side cast was Goated - Aki , Power, Angel, etc are all examples of great side characters.

The Reze arc (Despite me not shipping DenReze) had me feeling emotional , The way Mappa enhanced it's emotions by the sound effects and OSTs was phenomenal

Denji had great character writing and his conclusion in part 1 was great .

I've done all this Chainsaw man meat riding to show you I loved this manga....Until I read part 2 , Then it just became a Mess . I think Part 2 already has a shit ton of critiques so I'd just be parroting them

~~I see people underestimate Yuta's writing so many times . I'm sad but not really disappointed at this fact because if being an Ozawa glazer has taught me anything, It's that if your character arc is short than another character's , You're gonna be undermined than them . (Ozawa was 1 chapter long , Yuta was 4 chapters/1 volume long)~~ [SKIP THIS IF YOU FEEL LIKE]

Yuta is an amazing character. His theme is the "curse of love" and he does it perfectly , Not only in JJK0 does, In Modulo too . He loved Rika so much that he cursed her and He loved Maki so much that he literally couldn't live without her and thus, died . It's the pretty much perfect conclusion to him , He ended up respecting his theme through and through

He has actual character development, the whole point of JJK0 was to tell you to move on and connect with more people rather than just clinging to the past . I think Gege cooked here , Yuta's life with cursed Rika and keeping himself isolated was horrible - He was bullied , Alone and depressed but when he started to gain friends and actually moved on from Rika , His life got better, now he isn't alone , has friends/lover and is one of the most respected Sorcerers of his time . Many people complained about him getting a good life while I feel like Gege COOKED with the themes , Basically just "Move on dude , It's gonna make your life better"

Yuta does have flaws contradictory to some beliefs , His flaws is that he cannot sympathise with people who aren't his friends . This is shown by him not understanding Uro and Uro crashing out at him because he tried to lecture her about her life choices despite not knowing her life at all

Another one is his flaws is the way he overburndens himself, He believes HE should be the one to get a whopping 400 points and belives HE should become the next monster after Gojo . Many people argue that being too nice isn't a flaw , I say it is because as long is it comes to bite them back in ass, it's a flaw , which it does for Yuta

Yuta burdens himself with becoming the next monster after Gojo but when he does , He fails miserably. It isn't what Gojo would want Yuta to do nor is Yuta any bit of prepared to step up after Gojo , Nobody is or can be because Gojo is Gojo . Yuta knows this fact well (as he constantly glazes Gojo saying he is the best and that he himself cannot match his level) but yet does it anyway because of his bad habit of over burdening himself and that results in him -

\* Failing to use Gojos technique horribly

\* Not contributing much to the Sukuna battle

\* And finally, Almost dying

It's definitely something he grew out of by EOS

ItaFushi : Megumi isn't stated as a cause for Yuji's depression at all , Yuji doesn't mention Megumi and then proceeded to barely react to when his death was mentioned, Acting as if Nobara told him about the weather

ItaK*gi : They share so much love ! So much love that Yuji kept in contact w/ Todo over her ! No like , What are people talking about when they're saying Modulo upscaled ItaN*ba when Yuji kept in contact with Todo over her ? ....Todo.... FUCKING TODO LMAOO

And I saw someone argue saying that well he kept in contact with was because "Todo would've kept his mouth shut about where Itadori was even when asked about it".... This is an even worse look lol . It implies he DIDN'T trust Nobara enough to keep his location secret, which is so fucking worse because wdym he doesn't trust he so called "actual love"

ItaZawa : Ozawa doesn't even get a mention in Modulo, you can just speculate on what happened to them , ty Gege ig ?

Yuji and Todo : to the five people who did ship them , I am so sorry 🥀

Because legit, why is Todo not trying to get Yuji back on track, he literally motivated him in Shibuya . If it was the Todo we knew and he heard Yuji talking about some "it doesn't matter" he would try to set him back on track but no , he doesn't, he just does nothing about it

You could make the argument that Todo gave up because Yuji wasn't listening but...

1. Todo is not the type of person to call quits

2. Why would Todo then even want contact with him ? He shouldn't want to associate with Yuji who refuses help and is a gambling bum who's letting cancer patients fight his battles for him , he should be trying to ATLEAST talk him out of Yuka going to fight for him but no he doesn't

Deadass the only Yuji ship that won was ItaHana 😭✌️ she's the only one stated as Yuji's cause of depression
