My girl is just over a year old. She actually purrs when I put the harness on, so no issue there. I live in a small condo complex so we do short walks around the complex. She takes a while to warm up but will usually be happy for 20-30 min. Then she wants to go in, usually because she hears street or people noises.

The issue is that once we get back in she wants to go back out and pitches a fit about it. She yowls, paws at the door, looks at me like I'm a monster, etc. I ignore her but the yowling is pretty annoying.

When I take her out I usually put the harness and leash on and carry her out the door. I'm wondering if I should put her in a carrier and not let her paws touch ground until we're further away. The other thought was to do walks where she stays in the carrier but gets to smell the fresh air. Another option is to put her in a dog crate outside (mini catio). I've tried hooking her leash to something stationary but she doesn't like that and tangles herself up.

What I'd love is for her to be able to sit outside and enjoy being in the yard with me without going full teenage drama queen when we go back in.

My bank is changing ownership. I tried to use my credit card today and it was declined. I went on-line to see what went wrong but the account is gone. My other accounts are still there. Is it possible that my account was lost in the changeover? It has a balance so if they lost it that would be great.

Is there a way to inquire without alerting them or should I keep quiet and hope for the mythical "bank error in your favor" card?

I find that when I'm on a date I end up being friends. It's so hard to make it romantic. How do you keep things going in the right direction?

I'm trying to get a realistic estimate for how any hours a week it should take to manage a 10-unit residential unit with identical 1bd, 1ba units. so 10bd, 10ba total. The building is older but in good repair. There is no parking, pool, gym or other amenities other than a shared yard.

The manager is on-site. They would hire a handyman or contractor for maintenance although basic things like yard work would be part of the job. There is no snow here.

Approximately how many hours a week on average would you expect to budget for management?

We have a neighbor who has multiple cars, motorcycles, etc. He also works on cars in the street, Today he's welding in the street. His apartment has parking so these are his overflow cars.

I've tried leaving notes, neighbors have talked to him, I've asked the landlord to do something, reported him to BPD but it feels like he must be in witness protection to get so much leeway. His cars haven't been registered in YEARS, he parks in front of hydrants, has cars up on blocks in the street, has extremely loud mufflers.

I don't understand how he gets away with all of this. I don't want to have to move but I can't sleep with all this noise. I'm also really tired of parking blocks away and then walking past his multiple junk cars. Any suggestions?

I know that White Horse has watch parties but none of my friends are into them and I don't want to go alone. Does anyone know of a fan group in the East Bay near Berkeley / Oakland?

My 1 year old torte is really into her own reflection. I know that most cats don't understand that it's their reflection but I think that she does. She likes to bring a specific toy and stand in front of the mirror, sort of checking herself out. She also seems really aware of my reflection and will look back and forth between me and my reflection.

Does this mean that my cat is really smart? Is she secretly doing psychedelics? Is she having existential angst?

I know someone who told the that he has no heirs. He is using a fiduciary to manage his estate and leaving everything to charity. He lives in a nice condo that I would love to have. Is there a tactful way to offer to buy his condo, and donate to the charity he named, at a reduced rate? It's a HCOL area (NorCal) and it's the only way I'd be able to buy there.

I feel like it's just numbers on a page for him at this point but it would change my life for the better. He's a nice person, I'm a nice person. Is there a way to ask this nicely?

Edit: If it wasn't obvious I meant buy the condo from his estate after he passes.

Newer Minis are saying 10-12K miles. Mine is a 2015 base Cooper with turbo so I think it should be more like every 5-7,500 miles. I do a combo of city and highway driving but no off-roading, towing, or dusty environments.

I'm curious as to what others do.

I took an elderly lady in to get a senior ID. They mistakenly tried to renew her expired driver’s license. I caught it at the time and told them that she cannot drive and we need a senior ID. The appointment proceeded and we took her picture, etc.

I found out that they still ran it through as a driver’s license renewal. Now I’m supposed to call an error line to try to get it corrected. I call every day but they always say that the line is busy and to call back the next business day. It’s holding up her auto registration which also expired.

Is there a way to reach that department via e-mail or snail mail?
