This is low-key a tragedy.

So, my new thing when I play is what I aptly refer to as "taking a trip to China". It's the newest edition to the perk points min/max cycle I've developed during my time playing this game.

Originally, I would wait until I had a kid, make them my ward, and then take them on every pilgrimage possible prior to them turning 16. If I lived long enough for that kid to have kids, I'd then do the same thing with them.

However, I recently realized how OP University visits are. Before, I'd just go to whatever university was closest to get the perk points and the education trait upgrade if I could. But now, I choose one of the Chinese universities and try and visit every single point of interest that I can to maximize the amount of perk points I can acquire, get the upgraded education trait, and get the Confucian Education trait.

This time around, it took me about 12 years to get there and back again, accumulating 34 perk points in total from the points of interest, the passage of time earning points, and the points acquired from the university visit itself.

The best part about it was once I got home, I suspiciously had a 2 year old son and heir waiting for me that I could then take on all the pilgrimages before he turns 16 so that I set myself up for success when it's time to play him and then I can go on the trip to China and repeat the cycle over and over.

The point of this post is that university trips and pilgrimages are kind of OP if you use them effectively to your advantage.

For this run, I also brought back some Han Chinese courtiers, gave them land, and made them promote their culture with the goal of hybridizing the Norman and Han cultures.

Other tips for the trip to China:

- Start a war or many wars right before you go on the trip.

You can't start a war when going somewhere, only when coming back, so this way you can kill two birds with one stone by expanding your territory and expanding your characters mind

- Learn languages while on the journey.

You're away from home for a long time, use the time effectively and learn as many languages as possible

- Focus the points gained on expanding your lifespan, domain, and skill points.

Use the points on the trees that expand your domain, make your lifespan last longer and healthier, and increase your skill points as much as you can.

Also, and this is a side note, visit the silk road markets until you've discovered all the cultural traits you can. It's good shit.

I reformed the Roman Empire a bit before the Mongols spawned.

Mongols showed up on my border by taking Persia, but I wanted Persia.

Min/maxed my personal and administrative gold, recruited every possible mercenary, and took control of every provincial army I could.

Managed to take enough of Persia to win it without even a single fight.

Sent him a poem right after roasting him so hard it made him incapable and he died like a month later.

Took Stevenson to get there.

Turn around, make the right on Bennett.

Downed trees branch (huge) on Bennett.

Luckily, I made it around it.

Get to Zehrs parking lot.

Flooded.

Go to take a picture and talk to a someone doing the same when she says "I'm gonna see how deep it is!" (She's wearing flip flops) and gets out of her car to do just that.

Very long journey to get literally 2 things from Zehrs.

I won a holy war for Kingdom of Croatia right before the Pope crusaded for Hungary so Jewish Mogyer Carpathia is no more.

Saw this Lithuanian kid with the blood of a prophet she doesn't believe in. Go figure.

Never seen an entirely Asatru Britannia get crusaded for The Danelaw.

Crusader The Danelaw ended up taking the entirety of the island of Britain by the end, leaving the Empire of Britannia to only Ireland.

Also crazy the Empire of Britannia is run by an Asatru Anglo-Saxon.

This guy stumbled into the HRE. He became King of Italy (which already had Aquitaine and Burgundy), like immediately after being born, somehow inherited Lotharingia, survived every war of against him (except my independence war), and then formed HRE once everything settled down.

He lived to 72 and managed to keep the empire intact the whole time but didn't ever get West Francia.

this is an update from my last post

They’re still leaving notes even after the front office told them to not leave notes since they don’t want to communicate directly with us. They’ll leave the notes on the side of our door to avoid our camera but our neighbors across the hall have a camera and they actually communicate with us. So we can obviously see it’s her. I have seen them several times watching our balcony whenever they step outside. They’re also banging on the ceiling whenever we move around now. I do not know what they’re hearing. We are absolutely not up at 3am. We’re in bed because we have to work during the day.

I think it’s so interesting they feel “threatened” and “uncomfortable” when I knocked on their door once but this is the 3rd time they’ve left notes and are watching us?? I don’t know what to do, they won’t talk directly to us, the apartment complex can’t control them, if I try to leave them notes it’ll be seen as retaliatory because the property manager told both parties to have all communication through the apartment complex since the neighbors did not want to directly communicate. Again we are a black & mixed couple and they’re 2 white women.

I could see if we had children or dogs running around, that’s valid. But these are also the same people that complained that we flush too loudly so I think not everything is right up there. I’m not going to be bullied into submission by 2 crazy Karens.

I was doing a Norman run tryna reform Asatru and make Francia an Asatru Empire.

Somehow this nun inherited Burgundy and Italy, I'm guessing through vassal revolt and placing her upon the throne seeing as she's a Karling, but she has managed to grow her kingdom quite vastly.

By the time she died she captured all of Aquitaine, Lotharingia, and Frisia, but she couldn't quite form the HRE.

Thanks to whoever posted this in Mitton village the other day. I was crying laughing on my morning walk with my dog. Bummer someone ripped it down by the time I was done work.
