Chip tossing

I'm clumsy, I can't toss chips. Typically they roll over half the table. So I try to place myself near the stick just to drop my bets by hand.

But I wonder and ask you base players: What is your tossing technique that looks so cool when you drop a bet over half the table neatly landing flat at the stickman?

[Jan. 15th 2009]I will never understand why landlocked flights include the life jacket instruction for a water ditch anyways. It just takes unnecessary time.

[1949]Chuck! I just finished this screenplay draft for two new Looney Tunes characters. Not sure if it would hit big on the screens, so I let you decide if you want to direct a cartoon with them.

[1750 BC]Master Nanni, I just come back from Ea-Nāṣir's copper shop. He dissed me and the promised ingots I should collect proofed to be of subpar quality. I highly recommend that you as customer write a serious complaint letter.

Jobless break: How to deal with vested benefits best?

I will be off the work force for about 12 to 18 months and plan to deal with the 2nd pillar assets (totalling ~750k). My idea:

- Open two vested benefits accounts (which seems to be the legal max)
- One with a cautious risk investment scheme
- One with a ambitious risk scheme.

Is this a good idea?

[July 23rd 1966]How annoying! The German referee has now been discussing for 7 minutes with Argentina's Rattin who seems not to understand that he is sent off the field. If there only would be some kind of clear signals like a traffic light for such situations

[March 24th 1989]Gawd, the captain handed me command of the bridge. It's been a long day and I'm so fucking tired, where is the second mate for my shift relief? Latest when we leave Prince William Sound I'll wake him.

[Aug. 31st 1997] Sacre Bleu! It's just a few minutes after midnight and we wanted to cross Place de la Concorde by foot when this clearly speeding limo rushed closely past us. Even worse, a bunch of scooters and motorbikes were following it like a stampede.

Press&Collect management

You are using a press and collect type of strategy. Assuming a hectic table on a lengthy roll, how do you keep control if a place bet needs to be collected or pressed?

What is the meaning of your country's flag elements?

Stemming from the middle ages, the cross had initially a christian background, but nowadays should represent neutrality and unity.

Why is gambling so tightly controlled in Italy?

I noticed that in Italy only four historical landside casinos are in place and online offerings are heavily regulated.

Is this a society/cultural thing? Are Italians prone for gambling addiction?

What are some of the more grueling mythical tales in your country?

Here we have the tale of the Sennentuntschi. In the older days, mountain shepherds, who spent the summer quite lonely on alpine pastures, sometimes created makeshift sex dolls out of straw, wood and cloths.

To keep up morale, folklore tales developed telling that one day, such a doll became animated and alive after enduring the men for weeks. It forced all shepherds off the pasture but kept the master shepherd. When the others reached the border and turned to watch back, they saw the doll skinning their mate and chucking the skin over a rock to dry it out...

Changing telco provider

So here we go, my actual contract with my telco (sunrise) is running out in a few months. I have the full monty (Internet, TV, Mobile) with them and the cancellation date (not termination) is end of July.

My goal is to change provider. I did not yet decided to which one but I want to:

- Switch all services as stated above.
- Of course keep the phone numbers (Still having both a fixed net and a mobile number).
- Have the switchover unfolding as smooth as possible (fiber at my home).

If anyone has experience, what are the necessary steps in proper order? I understand for example that cancellation of the mobile contract and request to port the number are two different things... Are there more traps to consider?

Thanks for any feedback
