I somehow survived the helicopter explosion by bailing from the helicopter right as it landed

It was a terrifying few minutes being the lone survivor and surrounded by NVA, who had seen the chopper going down.

Don’t purchase from Appalachian FC, they don’t fulfill orders or communicate with customers

This is just a little review and a warning to others:

I purchased two items from their store eleven months ago. I was super excited to get my jersey and t-shirt to show my support for the club. After eleven months they have still not shipped my order. When I attempted to reach out to the organization with my order number (and other details confirming my identity/order) they refused to respond via Facebook, which they are quite active on.

I emailed their general manager, who responded, saying he would look into the issue. After this initial interaction he has not responded and is ghosting my email attempts.

I filed a complaint with the consumer protection division of the NCDOJ. They were given fifteen days to respond. It’s been twenty-three days since they were notified of the complaint and they have failed to respond, continuing their pattern of ghosting communications. I’ve filed with the Better Business Bureau and the FTC.

(If this is not the proper place for this post, please remove it. I checked the rules and it doesn’t seemingly violate any. Just wanting to warn others since they took my money and won’t give a refund or the items)

How do you win the Bear Bryant Coach of the Year award?

Quick question, what does it take to win the award?

I’ve had two different seasons with UCF where I had the highest rated offense in terms of points per game, and yards per game, while my defense giving up less than 200 ypg. Both seasons I had a Heisman winner and won my conference while going undefeated.

I’ve never even been in the running. I’m not complaining, I’m more so trying to figure out how to get it since it would make sense with the history of the dynasty I’m in.

GTA 6 will let us experience what it’s like to have a girlfriend

As you’re all probably aware, it’s next to impossible to get a girlfriend in the modern age. Women these days only date the top 20% of men while the rest of us are doomed to be alone. It seems like the only thing that can get you a girlfriend is good looks and the only way to have good looks that matter is through good genetics…

Luckily, GTA 6 puts us in the shoes of a chad like Jason Duval so we can get to experience what it’s like to have a girlfriend, go on dates and engage in intimate activities. It’s the game we need most for our generation.

Who’s your biggest unexpected rival in dynasty?

I’m currently in year 7 at UCF and my unexpected rivals are Texas Tech and Ohio State.

Texas Tech absolutely terrorizes my team, regardless of how good we are going into the matchup, the weather, where the game is played, etc. We are literally 0-8 against them. They’ve taken two Big 12 championships off us. Every single game is close until the second half where their defense becomes unstoppable. Usually I end up losing by 14-21 points because of the defense cheese.

Ohio State is a much closer rivalry. We’re 4-1 against them all time. We managed to sneak into the playoffs in 2026 and had to host Ohio State in Orlando. We played mostly mistake free football but we’re still losing. My defense speared their punt returner who fumbled it on the 35 yard line. A miracle happened and we managed to beat them 18-16 on a last second field goal. The next season we beat them in another thriller in the Cotton Bowl on our way to winning our first true National Championship. They were the #1 team in the country and we were the 10th seed. We got a few season break from playing the Buckeyes. The third time we met them in the playoffs they absolutely manhandled us and beat UCF by 18 points. Our fourth matchup was another close game, where we barely managed to squeeze by them en route to our second National Championship. I scheduled a game in Columbus last season, figuring Ohio State would get revenge at home. We beat the brakes off them, 28-3.

Well that was traumatizing…

Earlier these guys saved me and got me to a medic. When I heard one screaming I knew I had to repay the favor. We had been steamrolling the NVA, until the last point, when it became an all out rock fight. I started dragging my newfound buddy, screaming for a medic. We spotted Paulie Walnuts by the waters edge and I started frantically dragging him towards Paulie. Paulie didn’t have a mic and refused to treat our guy, so he was executed.

I really wish the screen recording captured my side of the convo. I was screaming my head off for a medic and trying to comfort this dude, telling him I’d get him home. When he died in my arms I fucking screamed, let out a battle call and charged an NVA position in anger, swearing revenge. I was promptly shot in the head…

Update on Headless Horseman: He has a face

Yesterday I posted that I recruited a 5* WR that was missing a head. Still missing a head in every single tab (depth chart, national signing day, redshirt, etc) but he had a face in a game.

And he’s an elite dev.

I got the Headless Horseman to commit!

He’s missing his head in every single recruiting screen (prospect board and top classes ranking).

Injury slider suggestions?

What injury sliders are y’all using for dynasty? I just started my first dynasty as a test to understand NIL and the new features. Literally a player is getting injured every play on either team, on default sliders. It’s absolutely game breaking. I still want injuries to occur, but at a more realistic pace.

I don’t think I’m getting my package today… (for context I’m in Florida)

I’m so close to crashing out. My buddy in NC sent me a package of childhood mementos and some shirts from the town we grew up in. I figured being close to Orlando, my package would arrive pretty quickly as we have a big distribution hub. USPS usually does right by me. The tracker went dark for two days. When I finally got an update, I learned the package had been sent to Lexington, KY. When it finally updated after 12 hours and I saw it departing Kentucky, I figured it was on a truck heading south.

Instead I got an alert that my package made it to Cincinnati, 900+ miles from its destination in central Florida. Since then Cincy update my tracker has gone dark. I wouldn’t be surprised if this damn package is on the west coast now. When I called USPS customer service and battled through the phone tree, the agent at the other end of the line seriously told me the package was scheduled to arrive tonight, right after acknowledging its in Ohio, I’m in Florida, and it’s being sent via truck…

The agent told me they couldn’t even investigate or flag the package until Monday. I’m so annoyed. The worst part is I have a raging case of the flu, so I
was really looking forward to getting my childhood momentous and some stuff from my childhood hometown.

Edited for spelling, the flu and brain fog ain’t no joke.

This NPC just survived being shot in the back of the head…

I shot the guy attacking Swanson in the shoulder to stop the attack, then stabbed him. The witness spotted me and took off running. This dude is way faster than he looks.

I finally decided to shoot him in the back and this dude just ate the bullet. When I slowed the video down, blood can be seen coming out of his head. I know my shot landed. He wasn’t wearing a hat, so I didn’t catch him high.

Can NPCs survive headshots occasionally? It’s been a long time since I played.

I loaded into a years old save, this is the first mission I got…

I haven’t played in about 4-5 years, I originally played and completed the game at launch. With GTA VI coming out in got the itch to hop back into Red Dead. While I remember the story, it’s like experiencing it for the first time again, as I’ve forgotten a lot of the small details (story wise and gameplay wise). This save is about four years old.

I loaded into camp at night. I immediately went to my bed to try and sleep, but couldn’t. I had forgotten all about the letter from Mary/being forced into Money Lending. I was getting frustrated that my bed was block and hit interact with the stupid letter. The second the cut scene started, my heart sank, knowing what was coming.

It’s amazing how this story can pull you in and tap in to your emotions. I’m so immersed in the story again. Any tips for a returning cowpoke?

I currently have three saves going. I have my main. A secondary save where I’m just playing the story missions and a few stranger missions, without exploring beyond hunting and gang survival, to experience the timeline chronologically. Finally a save where I can just go on a rampage and have it not matter at all.

Also I marked this as a spoiler just because it shows screenshots of an important mission. I don’t think it’s a spoiler, but just erring on the side of caution.

If Weltman says “uh” or “um” one more time my ears might explode

Listening to Coach Sweeney’s introductory presser and I can’t take it anymore. A minute in Weltman said “uh” or “um” over ten times. As a public speaker it drives me nuts. That’s the end of my rant.

Really excited to hear what Sweeney has to say!
