shot perfectly with an A2 flash hider but that thing wasn't hiding no flash.. more like throwing fireballs.. going to try the SI Cloak + Oppressor next time to see if I can make even bigger fireballs

These are available in just about every caliber and even come in an extended length if you want to pin and weld a 14.5". The hole in the front is designed like a brake to push the gasses upwards like an A2 brake but designed to compensate for muzzle rise.. hence the name

Many of you buy brakes and blast cans/diverters on top and will add weight in the front AND will spend a small fortune to make that combo work.. this is much easier and cheaper

Decided to strip and rust blue my wife's grandfather's 1911 that he customized over the years.. He bought it new in 1994 for $275. I added the WC one piece magwell and the grips. He fit a beavertail, new hammer, and thumb safety.. Possibly internals as I'm not quite sure if those were swapped.

Been finding some great deals on used uppers lately have been building some new uppers out of the parts

from top to bottom

1. 14.5" BA Hanson 0.625" p/w w/ Surefire Warcomp in MI Combat Rail
2. 16" Criterion Core w/ M4-72 in CMT rail
3. 16" BA Hanson 0.625" w/ VG6 Epsilon/CAGE in Dirty Bird handguard
4. 18" Rainier Arms Select Match w/ YHM Brake in BG Defense MK-14C quad
5. 16" Compass Lake Engineering/Krieger custom barrel w/ SI Warhog in Geissele blem MK16/upper

Both lowers are Aero M4E1 and one has a LaRue MBT-2S and the other a Geissele SSA-E. The gray lower has the HFF while the moss one has the AR Maglock Gen 2

I ordered a blem Geissele upper/handguard from Primary Arms and of course it arrived without a barrel nut wrench.. I found one on Rooftop's site (code: northwales with total cost at $17.50 delivered) and ordered.. here's the timeline for anyone curious

if anyone is curious, yes I can see the blems on the anodizing on the upper like in the pic.. the handguard seems near perfect and no apparent blems exist

So I'm at Iron Sights in Oceanside earlier today.. I get there first and they give me the last booth against the wall.. I have my Apache 4800 case sitting on the shelf behind the booth, closed and latched and I'm shooting one of my pistols.

Next to me, a couple shows up.. they don't seem to know what they're doing as they're trying to shoot an AR at 7 yards. I mind my own business and keep shooting. I hear the guy next to them on the other side giving them all kinds of feedback and they don't seem to be listening.

I suddenly feel the dude behind me so I turn around and see him rolling up one of my targets that I had behind my case and he says to me "your case fell off".. he had put it back on the shelf already.

I knew he pushed or knocked it off as there's no way it would fall off by itself. Instead of getting pissed off and ruining my day, I just ignored him and checked the case to ensure no damage and went back to shooting.

At least I know that case is drop-safe. I'm glad I had it latched or 4 pistols would have gone flying all over the floor.

If this was you, and you read this, the least you could have done is apologize. It's like you were trying to put it back where it was so I wouldn't notice instead of tapping me on the shoulder and letting me know you fucked up. Grow up and take responsibility next time.

Has anyone ever installed these? I ran across them while researching a minimalist magwell but I can't find images of them installed on anything

If you've installed them, I'd love to see them installed and get any feedback you may have

1954 Russian Tula SKS in Hush Holsters' chassis.

It's legal due to the 30" OAL while folded and the fixed magazine.

With the red dot, it's a breeze to shoot although it's approaching 10 lbs in this config.
