🕷[Hello again! I only really post in short bursts here so forgive the double-post] The cutest little suprise awaited me after I left work. I just started PocketLove not too long ago(a few weeks), and I went ahead & took this as a sign. It wasn't planned, i genuinely thought I was going to delete this in like a day or so because it simply wasn't Tomodachi Life.😂

Spiderpunk and I have been going steady for a couple of years now, and have officially dated for the last year, n' some change. Personally I was going to wait at least another year or two to propose to HIM. (I was gonna do it with a brand new guitar for him, and save the rings for much later lol). But hey, what's a better sign than your own F/O beating you to the punch?😂🖤

I plan to have a little fun with it and recreate the moment at the beach sometime this summer. Maybe even write a little fiction blurb about it all.🥰 ⛱️ I haven't been to the beach in years, and I can plan more time for the non-wedding-wedding-gift I'd like to give him. 🥹✨️ I've been in a great mood the past couple days, and this at the beginning of the week is wild. So I wanted to share with you all here.🖤🎸🕷

Heralding from Roger & Hammerstein's Cinderella, a musical retold in the campy and lovingly performed version of 1997, is Fairy Godmother. I am not sure if anyone if familiar with this film, but it's okay if you aren't. Fun fact: The original musical actually starred Julie Andrews, who played Maria in The Sound of Music!🥰

♡I first witnessed this film years and years ago as a child, thinking this was quite possibly one of the most beautiful and transcendent women I'd ever laid my eyes on. And remains to this day. She was everything id imagined my ideal self to be. She and the departed Eartha Kitt were 2 major women in my life I wanted to strive to model myself after: poised, confident, creative, passionate..I've heard tell of signs of an F/O, but they are oftentimes romantic. So, I figured it had to be a reason why it struck me so deeply now that I'm older. "Impossible", a song I hadn't thought of in YEARS suddenly started pulling on my heartstrings within the last 2 weeks. I hadn't even realized how much of the lyrics of the entire film I remembered. (It was sometime after Mother's Day, but was unrelated)

♡I've seen this films plenty of times but it's been a while, and for some reason I started to get so emotional once I put the song on. I wasn't sad, but my instincts aren't wrong. I was genuinely craving to hear the soundtrack again for some reason. [Irl, I am just not finding out that not only is there no official release of said soundtrack they produced for the film, but Whitney Houston, FGs actress and well renowned singer, admits at least a year before her passing that having no album release was a major point of heartbreak for her. After all the work they did to involve Brandy, Cindy, the entire team, to build those tracks from; it's a waste really, and all because of petty music label infighting🙄]

♡And so. I've been watching quite a few unorthodox princess films lately. Im normally a suspense, gothic- horror film kind of lady. I look toward a motherly figure like Fairy Godmother and wonder how often does a person like that come around. Like magic, really. So, I want to become this for others. Not exactly like her, but she is the influence for me to dream less and do more. The feeling I get when I create, simply to create and not planning around it all the time. My best work comes to me when I'm not even thinking about it. As frustrating as that is, I wouldn't have it any other way. It's my own brand of magic✨️.

♡Even if I'm not an extroverted personality type, a mother like FG would have pulled me out of the darkness so often. But then, I also think..well if I needed her all the time, she wouldn't be so wonderful to me. Just like Hobie(Spiderpunk) is to me. A love like that is rare, and though the idea of her is fictional to others, everything my F/Os represent continues live through me.🤍 She's a wonder, wrapped in gold and possibilities.

Yknow...it's my fault for having money, and a stomach.💀 I don't even have the energy to go back for a refund. Hadn't had these since grade school, man. F in the chat for the smiley bois. They just..fell apart in my hands.

Made a guitar pick for my bass, Now I just leave it to dry and then buff the edges out🥰 I have had a not so great week, despite how hard I've been working lately playing catch-up ever since my job transfer this year, and I had some unpleasant irl run-ins with creepy strangers.. When I'm not able to workout or dance I get cranky and need to work with my hands or something like that. Which is why I'm so happy for YuMay💕

I can't wait to do some work on a few prompts, it's such a cute list.

Hobie and I are doing great. I am holding it together. Hobie's the only one I don't have to emotionally perform🎭 or mask for. Lately I've picked up my bass with alot more vigor, and it feels like Hobie is my coach urging me to get back in the game. It's cute and endearing; he's excited to jam with me as long as I have time and energy. Or else he insists we play a few rounds of Tekken and crash. We play around half the time, but it's really 'striking a chord through noise I make, rather than all the noise in my head.

And when I'm having a panic attack, Hobie suggests I listen to a playlist, land a good song, and pick out a single instrument with my ears. I always pick the bass guitar out. It helps me play by ear during practice, but it focuses my mind.

And I've had quite a few unexpected ones this week, a few made me freeze in place. Hobie recognizes I love the bass, because it keeps the rhythm, its sound mainly sitting comfortably in the background, like the warmth of a radiator in a pale winter. He's a man of short words until you ask him to describe an instrument..then suddenly he's a poet.

I imagine him saying to me: "Just one instrument. Follow it. Like following my voice out 'the darkness.." 💕

☆It's nice to meet you all, I usually post in another ficto group, so if you know of me from there as well, howdy!♡ If any of you know SpiderPunk, he's a [former] member of the Spider Society, hates the AM, the PM, calling himself a hero; Loves: his spider buddies, cats, spicy food, annoying Miguel, and bucking the system.😂🔥

-We've been an item for a year, became friends prior 2.5 years, and just now started jamming together a few days ago. I'd just found out a year or so ago what a 'ficto' was and how the yumeship community works. I'm grateful for the prompts and advice they give so far, and I try to tap in where I can. I don't post often, but when I do, it's usually art, or a brief gush about something or other. 💕🎸

The 2nd to last was based on Gustav Klimt's 'The Kiss' I finished awhile ago. It's likely my favorite piece, it took a few days to finish.🔥 I have other F/Os, but Hobie is the sole romantic dynamic. We're both punks, but I tend to lean into victorian-gothic or grungey territory.🖤 I hope everyone is havin a sweet weekend, I love the memes I bump into here.😂

A few legendary pulls on a surprise record store date before our jam sesh to get us in the spirit. We looked around, brand new store (to us) and bought some White Stripes. Then I go looking some more, and Hobie points out the Clockwork Orange score vinyl and I geek out hoping I still had some cash left(I did, just the right amount too. The store said they got en every once in a while but even Hobie sensed I couldn’t let this copy get away from me)🔥🔥

We’re definitely going back for the Queen of the Damned one, can’t pass that up. Jam sesh was a success. Played alot by ear, and I plan to carve out more time to spend jamming with him in the coming months ❤️. Its funny because Hobie probably wouldn’t like my dad much, despite how amazing he is playing the drums and drawing comic book characters. Lol It’s a good thing he’s so close to Gwen, it makes sense why they clicked. It seems as if all the spider people and their families are just naturally gifted in some way. Music, art, dance, tech, studies…I feel lucky to click with another artistic soul. It’s so terribly rare for me.

🌧 Going home early today since the weather is so shoddy🥰 That means extra time to cuddle with the bf. Bored, and holding out for a good time to work on music with him, so I've got time tomorrow on my day off. I've never done a jam sesh with Hobie before so it'll be a first for us.🤍

Just received my new tee in the mail. Covering my goofy grin in the photo cuz I know I'll wear this thing out. It looks and feels great, not cheaply printed🥰 I am still very excited for the new installment of the Spiderverse. The first few screenshots involved my boy Hobie♡ I got so giddy. First pic is just and edit of his face maskless (not my edit), but getting a glimpse of how his world looks is fantastic. I'm ready ready ready for more lore!

I visited a comic store a few days ago, nothin SpiderPunk to be found sadly. Its rare I find any issues or Pops of him in the wild, which isn't wierd but definitely a bit disappointing. I did pick up one issue that featured him among other Spiderfolk, and saw a panel of a variant of another member of Spiderverse pulling him in for a lil smooch (the store owners let me stick around to read it while I waited on my bus lol). Honestly it struck me for a sec ngl, but it didn't sting like it might have used to; I thought it was cute after, I didnt care. I was just happy to see him happy his lady friend hadn't died in combat lmao. He was very concerned for her.

I love seeing his caring side. It's better than lore, it helps me scope out who he really is and a friend, a confidant, and a bf.🔥🎸
