Quite possibly the closest thing to “old school Sour D” I’ve had in AWHILE. Loose , “foxtailish” lime/forest green buds, very reminiscent of its Diesel lineage. Opening the Mylar, your hit with a FUNKY wave of gas and sour citrus notes that translates extremely well into the flavor.
Coats the mouth with a tangy citrus flavor. The aromas upon combustion are extremely therapeutic and nostalgic for me personally. Creative,
energetic, uplifting effects that slowly drift into mental and physical relaxation.

Mysteriously arising in the mid 90s. BK quickly became a staple of cannabis culture and cultivation. The nose is Earthy, piney with notes of citrus and hash that translates fairly well into the flavor. Long lasting, uplifting clear headed buzz. The. Slowly transitions into a “tranquil euphoria” of physical relief. Here’s some more info on this legendary legacy strain:


Bubba Kush is a legendary, indica-dominant cannabis strain developed in the 1990s in Florida by a grower named Matt "Bubba" Berger. It was accidentally created when a pollinated lower bud on an OG Kush plant produced seeds. These seeds were grown out to create one of the most celebrated strains in cannabis history.

The Birth of a Classic
In 1993, Matt Berger was growing indoors in Gainesville, Florida, and acquired some seeds rumored to be Northern Lights. After sowing them, one short, bushy plant emerged that earned the affectionate nickname "Bubba".
In 1997, Berger shared some of his harvest with B-Real and Kenji from the hip-hop group Cypress Hill. The group later called him to inform him that the weed contained seeds. Berger collected these seeds—which were an accidental cross between the original Bubba plant and a nearby, temperamental Kush plant—and germinated them. The resulting plant was the true, original Bubba Kush.

The Rise to Fame
Following its creation in Florida, the genetics made their way to the West Coast. In Southern California, renowned cultivators like Josh D helped pioneer a new era of indoor growing using these rare genetics. The strain's heavily sedating effects and unique, earthy, coffee-like aroma quickly became a favorite among high-profile smokers like Snoop Dogg and Cypress Hill.

Pre-98 Bubba Kush
As the strain became widespread, it eventually underwent significant hybridization. The term "Pre-98 Bubba Kush" is used by connoisseurs to refer to the original, pure, old-school genetic cut before it was cross-bred. This original version is characterized by a stocky growth structure, dense resin-rich flowers, and narcotic physical relaxation

First pic had fungus gnat issue that’s recently been resolved. Temps have been in the high 80s-90s. Using pre amended soil.

Covered in a thicc layer of thin trichomes. Candy/citrus/ blueberry flavor with some gassy notes. Effects are pretty balanced. Upbeat, clearheaded with moderate physical relaxation. Anyone who likes Runtz and/or LCG or just “candy” strains in general should definitely give it a shot if you see it around

The strain, which has a rich history, is credited to Colorado breeder Reserva Privada. They are sub-division of DNA Genetics. Lime/forest green, slightly larfy, fox tailed nugs covered in a Thicc layer of tiny white trichomes. The perfect balance of both of its parent cultivars. Super loud “old school” nostalgic profile. The nose takes me bacc like a decade or so lol. Combination of lemon-lime, earth/pine and diesel. Thicc smoke that smoothly expands in your chest. The effects are very well balanced. Upbeat, creative buzz with the perfect amount of physical relaxation. Great for starting your day or socializing. Beneficial for those suffering with mild physical pain and/or depression.

Haze x (Northern Lights x Shiva Skunk)

Created in Netherlands in the mid 90s. Named after the renowned activist and author of “The emperor wears no clothes”, this legendary strain will have you feeling just as liberated. Blissful, energetic, clearheaded buzz. Near perfect wake and bake material for those suffering with depression and/or anxiety. Jacc will help you get ready for the day. Old school earthy, spicy flavor with a touch of lemon pledge on the backend. For me personally, Jacc can be a lil too “sativaesque” to be a daily smoke but I do appreciate the medicinal benefits it grants me early in the day.

Hash Plant x Blueberry

Originally bred by G13 Labs, Blueberry Gum takes the earthy, spicy, herbal, funk of Hash Plant and blends it with the sweet, fruity flavor of Blueberry. Well balanced hybrid, great for a lazy Saturday morning or maybe after dinner before bed. Would also recommend for mild pain relief and appetite loss.

All around the same price(grape gas was slightly cheaper). The Gelato Z has the most flavor.

Couldn’t find much info on this one but judging by its look and name it’s a Grits pheno or cross. Savory profile. Almost like fried chicken grease with faint notes of berries. The nose translates well into the flavor except slightly floral on the bacc end. Balanced effects make this a great smoke for anytime of day.

My GF lives in a retirement community and one of her neighbors is moving to Florida. So the day before he leaves, he tells my GF to stop by, he has something he wants to give her. He asked if we smoked, (she said yes lol) then proceeds to hand her about a little less than a q/p of what I call “old people weed”. Nameless, basically odorles, horribly trimmed shwag lol. I’m actually surprised at the lack of seeds!!! I honestly think he had a lil grow going on under the radar and didn’t want to travel to Florida with flower. It looks like it had the possibility to be pretty decent product but by feeling and smelling the nugs, It becomes obvious that the dry/cure wasn’t done properly. I just took a handful to maybe roll a joint or two for funzies. The rest is most likely going into edibles or RSO.

Haven’t had to deal with a “Pinch Grinch” in awhile. One of the few perks of legalization 🤣💚

Originally bred by Compound Genetics. I tried this a couple weeks ago but forgot to write a review. But the effects/profile were too good not to talk about. The structure is the perfect , compact blend of its parent cultivars. Super sticky, dense buds filled with a deep dark chocolate, vanilla nose with a hint of berry and gas on the bacc. Almost like Neapolitan ice cream lol. Nutty/spicy, sweet cream flavor with faint citrus in the. This is one of those strains that prove bag appeal isn’t everything. I payed 5$ for the 1/8 and I honestly regret not buying more 😭. Flavor could be more pronounced but didn’t taste bad at all. The effects checc all the boxes. Uplifting and mildly physical sedation that increases depending on how much you intake. Great balanced hybrid for anytime of day. If anyone sees it floating around give it a try. You won’t be disappointed my friends 🫡✌🏽💨

A potent blend of two iconic cultivars. The nose is almost like lighting incense while polishing the floor? Musky, sandalwood, SLIGHTLY fruity, lemon-lime, floral kinda jazz that translates fairly well into the flavor. The effects begin energetic and uplifting then slowly fades into physical relaxation. I’ve found that “Durban dominant” cultivars sometimes get a weird earthy/chem taste towards the end of the joint that can be a lil harsh. I feel like the gelato helps balance things out the profile as a whole.
