About BIG ASS TRUCK I.E.:

Born in the Inland Empire. Fueled by diesel and bad decisions.

2000 horsepower breakdowns. 12-ton riffs. Anyone in the way catches the back wheel stomp.

Not a band. A wrecking crew on bald tires.

BIG ASS TRUCK I.E. isn’t here to partake in hardcore. It’s here to run it over, back it up, and run it over again.

Big riffs. Big energy. BIG ASS TRUCK.

AXTY share "All I Love" from upcoming The Pain Made Me Who I Am

Brazilian Metalcore Rising Stars AXTY

Unleash New Single “All I Love”

New Album The Pain Made Me Who I Am

Out Friday via Napalm Records

Brazilian deathcore rising stars AXTY will unleash their incendiary Napalm Records debut album The Pain Made Me Who I Am. Today, they give fans the final preview with the pummeling “all I Love”. Wielding both clave and breakdowns like a warhammer, AXTY effectively pummels listeners into a pulp, rewarding survivors with sweetly triumphant chorus hooks. Ready for the dance floor and crowdkillers, AXTY connects brutally with every swing of the hammer.

Frontman Felipe Hervoso on “all I Love”:
“’all I love’ is a song about being consumed by the fear of failing at the one thing you’ve dedicated your life to. It explores the highs and lows of being a small artist in the music industry, the constant pressure to stay relevant, keep growing, and prove yourself over and over again. Over time, that pressure can turn something you once loved and saved you into something that fills you with self-doubt, anxiety, and the feeling that you’ll never be able to live off your dreams.”

With their new album, AXTY explore universal lyrical themes of self-evolution through harnessing pain and resilience born from adversity, transforming negative experiences into fuel for growth. Moments of barbarism and serenity all tied together with infectious grooves, pristine production, and an unwavering dedication to brutality. Throughout its 12 tracks, The Pain Made Me Who I Am proves AXTY as a visionary force to watch in the ever-expanding modern metalcore scene — inarguably poised for star status as they climb the ranks.

AXTY about The Pain Made Me Who I Am:
The Pain Made Me Who I Am revolves around human emotions, particularly the darker, more difficult ones. However, rather than dwelling on suffering, we focused on the role these emotions play in personal growth and self-evolution. Resilience born from adversity, the idea that growth and self-discovery are deeply rooted in struggle, we wanted to explore how negative experiences, rather than defining us in a limiting way, become the very foundation of who we are.”

Get Your Copy Of The Pain Made Me Who I Am NOW!

The Pain Made Me Who I Am delivers the goods from note one as earth-shattering intro track “pain made me” pulls out all of the stops — crashing in with dense down-tuned guitar chugs beneath hip-hop charged samples. Anthemic “who I am” showcases the band’s seamless, genre-pushing blend with intense polyrhythmic deathcore passages and soaring metalcore melodies, while tracks like “all I love” incite pure metallic violence with the band’s erratic trademark guitar acrobatics, hypnotic drum patterns and addictive vocals — both crushing and clean — showcasing the broad talents of frontman Felipe Hervoso, drummer Gabriel Vacari, and guitarist Jonathas Peschiera. Particularly, Hervoso’s keen ability to dramatically tilt his vocal approach from crooning cleans to virtually superhuman screams, growls and squeals will have his name on the lips of deathcore vocal enthusiasts in no time. Songs like “nothing but pain” inject heavy doses of the futuristic metalcore fusion AXTY has become lauded for, while album standouts like first single/album closer “end this” weave alternative and even nu-metal flavor into the album’s addictive mix.

THE PAIN MADE ME WHO I AM TRACK LISTING:
“pain made me”

“dismay”

“everything is beautiful”

RISE AGAINST Release Two New Songs "Katy Bar The Door" and "Living Undercover"

RISE AGAINST

Release Two New Singles

Katy Bar The Door” and “Living Undercover

The iconic Chicago punk rock quartet, Rise Against, released two new singles, “Katy Bar The Door” and “Living Undercover.” These two new releases embody their original spirit of rebellion that they have held over a quarter century.

“Katy Bar The Door” takes its name from an old expression meaning trouble is coming and that all hell is about to break loose. “I don’t know where I came across this expression, but I immediately was taken with it,” says vocalist Tim McIlrath. “While an obscure reference now… I liked the idea of resurrecting it for this song, and that it sort of fits what it feels like to be alive in 2026.

The track was written in the aftermath of some of the most violent ICE raids in Minneapolis, and McIlrath sees it as part of a longer historical reckoning with abuses of power. “This is not the first time in history we have reckoned with abuses of power,” McIlrath says. “Bearing witness to the fragility of democracy is a scary thing, and it demands a response.”

The band describes “Living Undercover” as a song about the things we hide in plain sight. “Sometimes it’s because we’re building something beautiful behind the curtain, other times we’re hiding some kind of darkness,” McIlrath adds. “I like the cloak and dagger feel of the song that ties into its central theme.”

Both “Katy Bar The Door” and “Living Undercover” were recorded at The Blasting Room, a longtime home base for the band. “The studio there is a home away from home, and we know those rooms like the back of our hands,” McIlrath adds. “It’d been a while since we worked at the studio, and it was good to be under their roof again.”

These releases come just after they announced their headlining tour dates in the fall across the U.S. with support from Alkaline Trio. They will kick off the tour in Dallas, TX on September 22^(nd) at South Side Ballroom and will be visiting cities including New York City, Philadelphia, Raleigh, Phoenix, Milwaukee, Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, San Francisco, and more. In the meantime, the band is currently on tour in the UK supporting Jimmy Eat World.

CHAT PILE reveal "Same Rules" from upcoming Who Loves The Sun

Chat Pile reveal brooding single / video for “Same Rules

Their new LP Who Loves the Sun is out Sept. 4 [pre-order]

See Chat Pile on tour in North America soon…

Chat Pile‘s heralded debut album God’s Country depicted a particularly American flavor of dread, and their 2024 LP Cool World showed a cruel planet defined by global systemic violence.  Now, Chat Pile return with Who Loves the Sun, an album that peels back the skin on how a collective indifference for a decaying world defines this new century.  Spanning imagery of coastlines devouring cities as a result of inaction on climate change, the dread of working dead-end jobs, and the species’ collective submission to data-driven inauthenticity, Who Loves the Sun depicts the common experience of existing in a doom loop which feeds the malaise that permeates all aspects of our lives.

The album’s latest single “Same Rules” is lyrically and sonically as aggressive and confrontational as ever, but Chat Pile approach songwriting with hooks in mind, drawing on melodic tones.  Bassist Stin says it’s the “…first real Chat Pile song mostly recorded on 4-track cassette. Ray B. had given us the challenge to write a trip hop song and this is what we came up with. Unfortunately he’s rejected ‘Same Rules’ from the challenge as he claims it’s not trip hop at all and that we have to try again. Perhaps we’ll get it right next time.”

Reaching into the collective consciousness to commiserate and carouse, Chat Pile dissect how the apathy-bloated state of 21st-century existence is an active, slow-motion apocalypse, threads of which are woven through the album.  Vocalist Ray B. adds: “Everyone needs to read as much as possible. There is so little emphasis put on knowledge right now—  it is your most important tool. Engagement with the world might lead to death, but shutting off and staring at your phone all day is suicide.”

Since Chat Pile‘s formation just over six years ago, the Oklahoma City-based quartet has grown from a scrappy passion project of four local film and music enthusiasts into one of the defining heavy acts to emerge from the 2020s underground.

Ray B. (vocals), L. Manhole (guitar), Stin (bass), and Cap’n Ron (drums)’s crushing, crass, and cathartic take on noise rock resonates in a cracked reality. Their music captures a raw, undeniably human essence that’s increasingly fleeting in an age marked by ceaseless torrents of algorithmic slop, technological overreach, and the cold, crestfallen state of society. Nothing about their forthcoming third LP, Who Loves the Sun, feels synthetic.  In a world increasingly shaped by disposable content, Chat Pile answers with something defiantly real and organic.

“Australian heavy music trailblazers Northlane have announced their seventh studio album, Anemoia, out everywhere October 30th via independent release. Furthermore, they’ve treated fans to their visceral new single “CUT_it,” out now. Anemoia’s second suffocating track “CUT_it" encapsulates the bone-weariness of total burnout. Driven by a low-end groove that bends and bows under the unrelenting weight of exhaustion, Marcus Bridge flexes a new menacing side of his huge vocal range before the song erupts into merciless heaviness. “CUT_it is about burnout - the feeling of grinding through things when you're completely spent, mentally and physically. The imagery is deliberately visceral, painting a picture of that exhaustion rather than analysing it,” says Bridge.” (Northlane Press Release)

Anthrax - Everybody's Got A Plan

ANTHRAX

Share “Everybody’s Got A Plan”

From Upcoming Cursum Perficio

Out Sept 18, 2026

ANTHRAX have today (August 7) released the latest single and video, “Everybody’s Got A Plan,” from their long-awaited 12^(th) full-length studio album CURSUM PERFICIO out September 18 via Megaforce Records.

The new video was mostly filmed on July 7 in Lisbon, Portugal when the multi-GRAMMY® Award-nominated New York hard rock titans—Scott Ian (guitar), Charlie Benante (drums), Frank Bello (bass), Joey Belladonna (vocals), and Jonathan Donais (guitar)—toured with Iron Maiden in Europe. It features live performance footage and behind the scenes backstage fun with cutaways to classic B&W boxing footage that underline the song’s central lyrics: “Everybody’s got a plan/That’s until they get punched in the face…” Watch the video and listen to the incendiary song, with its massive riffs and ferocious vocals, HERE.

“‘Everybody’s Got a Plan’ has always been one of my favorite songs on Cursum Perficio,” Benante says. “The video basically shows the band on and off stage in a montage of video clips that kinda matches the velocity of the song.  ‘Everybody’s got a plan/That’s until they get punched in the face’ is such a great line, and so true!”

“Most of this video was shot opening for [Iron] Maiden in Lisbon, Portugal at Estádio da Lu on July 7, 2026,” Ian notes. “We wanted to capture us having fun on tour and what better way to do that? That was a plan that didn’t end up with a punch in the face! Have fun watching my friends!”

Bello adds, “This video is a great representation of a day in the life of Anthrax on tour.”

ANTHRAX have previously released two singles and videos from CURSUM PERFICIO“It’s For The Kids” a classic ANTHRAX ripper locked and loaded with buzzsaw-sharp riffs, explosive drumming, and a howling and head-banging hook. It undoubtedly has all the makings of a future live staple. Listen HERE and watch the official music video HERE. It was followed by “The Edge Of Perfection,” highlighted by clean guitar echoes and cymbals that gently shake until a blastbeat blows open the doors. Guitars buzz like a motorboat on the River Styx, making waves through the darkness. In their wake, a crushing rhythm trails the melody of lead singer Joey Belladonna’s lament, “My heart breaks…I’m on the edge…I’m on the edge of perfection. Listen to “The Edge Of Perfection” HERE and watch the official music video HERE.

Meanwhile, the group recently announced they were rolling out uniquely animated short clips based on the album cover, with the first clip shared July 28. The worked with artist Mark Stritzel for the striking cover and the animation was done by Emmanuel Cappellini. Mark initially worked with the band’s Charlie Benante on the characters featured on the album cover. Watch the first clip HERE and listen to the story HERE. Every Tuesday, the group will unveil the individual stories of each character featured on the album. Beyond the Magician’s story, subsequent weeks will reveal more about the Woman In WhiteDogWinged Skeleton, and concluding September 1 with Hands.

CURSUM PERFICIO marks the band’s first record in ten years since 2016’s For All Kings, which debuted in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200. The phrase Cursum Perficio is Latin for “My journey has come to an end, “My journey is over, or “I complete my journey. It proves apropos for such a complete body of work. It will be available as a standard CD; Target exclusive CD with a fabric patch of the album cover; standard black double LP with pop-up gatefold; Target exclusive double LP, red zoetrope with pop up gatefold; Amazon exclusive double LP, purple zoetrope LP with pop-up gatefold; merch exclusive lilac vinyl double LP with pop-up gatefold; Metal Injection exclusive white vinyl double LP with pop-up gatefold; Talk Shop Live exclusive signed with red ripple vinyl double LP with pop-up gatefold; Indie exclusive – red, orange yellow vinyl double LP with pop-up gatefold. To pre-order/pre-save, click HERE.

The band dove into recording CURSUM PERFICIO in earnest during 2022, working out of Dave Grohl’s Studio 606 in Los Angeles. They carefully pieced together what would be this magnum opus, mining their history with reverence, delivering on fan expectations tenfold, and broadening the scope of their signature sound. Produced by Jay Ruston and ANTHRAX, the result is an album that’s as angry, aggressive, and alive as their most celebrated fare.

The CURSUM PERFICIO track listing is as follows:
Persistence of Memory
The Long Goodbye
It’s For the Kids
Everybody’s Got A Plan
The Edge Of Perfection
Infectious
NYC93
Cursum Perficio
T.O.M.B

Their journey has brought them to CURSUM PERFICIO—a powerful, pummeling, and poetic milestone in ANTHRAX’s 45-year career.

The video is based around a retrofuture, dystopian universe where the lead protagonist, The Believer, is pitched into a twisted video game to save his life and ultimately find salvation.

From The Dark sees Tony Iommi joined throughout by Jorn Lande, who shares writing credits on all songs, as well as bassist Becky Baldwin and drummer Karl Brazil. Co-produced by Tony and Mike Exeter, his long-time creative partner, co-writer, producer and audio engineer, the sound is crystalline, vibrant and enormous, engulfing the listener in a state-of-the-art sonic experience that is as contemporary as it is timeless.

Tony Iommi says, “It’s an album we’ve really enjoyed making. We’re not trying to prove anything – it’s a great album, it rocks!”

From the opening notes of “Over The Violent Sun,” featuring a classic, driving down-tuned guitar riff from Tony Iommi and the dramatic vocal prowess of Jorn Lande, it is clear that From The Dark is an outstanding album that can hold its place amongst the impressive Iommi catalogue.

“Black Times” continues the journey, a sucker-punch strike that takes no prisoners, leading into the barn-storming first single “World Alone,” before fourth track “Beyond The Dead” changes the pace, with a stately and sinister riff interwoven with epic orchestration.

The existential questioning of Lande’s lyrics, full of dystopian imagery and ruminations on the fleeting nature of the human experience is writ-large throughout the album, especially on “Stormwatcher” with its nautical metaphors and dreams of new horizons. A brilliant centrepoint of this remarkable album, “Stormwatcher” is matched in scope and drama by the subsequent “Death Wake,” both music and lyrics combining to create a vivid picture of the cruelties of a life without love and humanity.

From The Dark‘s closing two songs, the furious passion of “Return Of The Arbalist” and the truly epic kaleidoscope of “Legacy” showcase the power and drama, the light and the shade that courses through the album. Coming a year after Black Sabbath’s final-ever show, at 2025’s Back To The Beginning concert in Birmingham, it demonstrates the creative fires that burn ever-brightly in Tony Iommi and is undoubtedly one of the greatest rock albums to be released this year.

ABOUT TONY IOMMI

Tony Iommi is widely regarded as one of the most influential guitarists in modern music. As the founding member and primary composer of Black Sabbath, Iommi is credited with helping create the sound and vocabulary of heavy metal.

Iommi’s contributions have been recognised with multiple Grammy Awards, induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and honorary academic distinctions in the UK. He was awarded a doctorate from Coventry University, a Lord Mayor’s Award and the Freedom of the city of Birmingham. Most recently, in June 2026 he has been awarded an MBE, one of the highest honours in British public life.

In his youth, Iommi overcame a serious industrial accident that cost him the tips of two fingers—an event that led him to develop a distinctive playing style and the darker, heavier guitar tone that defined Black Sabbath’s music. Formed with Ozzy Osbourne, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward, the band released pioneering albums throughout the 1970s and became one of the most culturally significant British exports of the era.

Across his six-decade career, Iommi has continued to record, perform and collaborate internationally. He worked extensively with the late Ronnie James Dio, released acclaimed solo material, and reunited with the original Black Sabbath lineup for the chart-topping 2013 album 13 and the global farewell tour The End (2016–2017) which played to 1.6m fans.

In recent years, his work has expanded notably into broader cultural spheres. In 2023 he collaborated with the Birmingham Royal Ballet on Black Sabbath – The Ballet, a groundbreaking production based on his early compositions. Black Sabbath headlined 2025’s monumental metal show ‘Back To The Beginning’ in Birmingham, an all-encompassing show revisiting Black Sabbath’s origins and a poignant farewell to fans, that took place just a few weeks before the death of his bandmate Ozzy Osbourne.

Tony Iommi’s brand new album From The Dark will be released on 23rd October 2026.

RIP Lou Koller of Sick Of It All

From the Sick Of It All Instagram account:

"It’s with unbelievable sadness that we announce to our worldwide hardcore family the passing of our brother Lou Koller. The level of loss that we feel at this time is overwhelming. This
year would have marked Sick of it All’s 40th anniversary as a band, and Lou’s camaraderie, commitment and enthusiasm were always steadfast throughout the years. We have lost a beloved friend and an iconic frontman. Lou had the power to raise everyone’s spirits at our shows with a smile and a sarcastic comment, and he won people over wherever we played, from every culture and every corner of the world.
At this time of intense grief, we must again acknowledge the great help and support offered by everyone who donated to Lou’s medical fund. You all helped Lou feel very special and very loved as he battled away these last two years. His battle is over now and he can finally rest. Hopefully he can somehow still see and feel the beautiful, positive mark he left on the world."

It's never easy saying goodbye, but saying it like this hurts much worse. RIP to Lou and condolences to Lou's family, friends, and everyone involved with Sick Of It All.

HEAVYS H1H Testing With

HEAVYS H1H Testing with u/ailshamusic

An honest review from Ailsha testing out the H1H headphones from Heavys.

After seeing a lot of hype about these online, I got to try the amazing u/heavysaudio headphones (#Gifted), and to put them to the test I listened to three of my favourite heavy songs of all time; “Holy Roller” by u/spiritboxmusic , “Blood Eagle” by u/periphery and “Titan” by u/anupsastry 🤘 I am SHOOK! These are super snug to wear and literally made me feel like I was at a concert. It’s amazing to find a headphone brand that prioritises all the key sounds in a metal mix. Bravo u/heavysaudio and thank you so much for the gift 💖🫶🖤
