Tocmai am observat. Aproape toate cele în EUR pe care le am, precum și acțiunile individuale, au acum orele de tranzacționare între 08:30 și 23:00 (ora României). Cele în USD au rămas la fel ca înainte.

N-am primit nici o notificare de la XTB pe tema asta. Voi?

Where I live some long-distance trains have a designated quiet car (marked with signs on the outside as well as literally every seat). Still some parents think this is meant for their babies (who, inevitably, will scream or babble loudly, because that's what babies do). I guess they think that "quiet" means it's for their kids to sleep better? There's a car right next to it, designated as a family zone with space for strollers, some toys and even a mini-cinema with seats and cartoons playing. Why don't they sit there?!! Or literally in any other part of the train, except for the one that's supposed to be quiet.

This also goes for "dog parents", btw, if the dog is clearly terrified of being on the train, or just very reactive. I don't have a problem with dogs on trains, and most of them are pretty chill. But if you know your dog is going to be wailing or barking half the time, maybe don't take it into the quiet car.

Venting here because I know y'all will understand.

I come from Eastern Europe. The generation that in the US are known as boomers, over here are the people who were born and lived their best years under communism. They had guaranteed housing and jobs, as long as they didn't piss off their boss or the regime. On the other hand, they had few choices, little freedom, and lived in a constant state of uncertainty; basic needs were met, luxuries were rare unless one was a high ranking member of the Party. They felt powerless in this system, and they reacted by enforcing control (usually through violence, physical or emotional) where they could: at home, over their children (and very often, by men over their wives too).

Now these people are old, in a country where elderly care is either free/cheap and shitty, or prohibitively expensive. Most of them rely on free caregiving from their children. And most of them get it, because society is very judgmental against what is seen as "abandoning" one's parents. I just saw a post on social media where a woman in her 40s is reflecting on her childhood (filled with beatings, humiliation and restrictions) while looking at her elderly parents who are now depending on her, enjoying a relatively comfortable life in their home (where she visits regularly, cleans up, cooks for them, arranges their medical appointments etc.). She wasn't even sounding resentful, more like contemplative of how it feels like she's gone full circle, back in her childhood home, feeling once again powerless in this dynamic.

Y'all, there were HUNDREDS of comments telling her that such is life, that she shouldn't be judging her parents because they did their best and maybe they were stressed too etc. Many people relating similar childhood stories (often on a "that's how things were back then" note). But not a single fucking person told this woman that it's ok to step back from caring for her abusers.

I am so angry that people who choose to distance themselves from their abusers are judged more harshly than those who torture their own children for years. Most people in my extended family don't know that I cut ties with my abusive father (as I don't talk about it and he has also distanced himself from most of the family). For now he is still independent and doesn't need any help, but I am certain that once he is firmly in the "frail elderly" territory, people will start to chatter about how I could afford to hire the best care for him (because I work abroad, so I must be making tons of money), but instead I'm a terrible daughter who lets him rot in his house (that he bought by stealing everything my mom had, but that's a different story). And even if I were to send an itemized list of the 100 worst things he has done to me and my mom, it wouldn't matter because "he did his best", so I should "forgive and forget" and reward the decades of abuse he heaped on me with decades of respect and financial support. Fuuuck!

Și unii mai sunt și lacomi. Pun anunț că vând. Mă sună mai mulți agenți decât cumpărători. Până la urmă aleg un agent care pare mai cu bun simț (și nu ia comision și de la cumpărător, cum fac majoritatea). Îmi face o analiză de piață, mă convinge să scad prețul, publicăm amândoi anunțul cu preț nou. Îmi aduce oameni la vizionare. După cateva zile îmi bate unul la ușă. Că vrea să cumpere direct, să las din preț cât ar fi comisionul agentului.

Păi de ce nu m-ai căutat direct de la început?! Că aveam și eu anunțul postat. Eu acuma să risc să mă ia pe urmă agentul ca să-i plătesc comision, că așa scrie în contractul pe care l-am semnat? Omul: "păi nu ți-am găsit anunțul".

Anunțul era pe Olx, pe alte site-uri și pe diverse grupuri de Facebook. Dar tu te-ai lenevit și te-ai oprit din căutare la prima pagină pe Olx. Pentru că jegul ăla de site favorizează agențiile care își permit să publice enșpe mii de anunțuri promovate, iar eu plătesc ca proasta 20 EUR pentru un anunț pe o lună care e imediat îngropat pe ultima pagină dacă nu mai plătesc încă 70 EUR ca să fie promovat. Iar tu, cumpărătorul leneș, nu ești în stare să pui niște filtre ca să eviți agențiile, sau să te uiți până la capătul listei ca să le găsești pe cele de la proprietari.

Apropo, Publi24 e gratis pe termen nelimitat și poți să actualizezi anunțul zilnic (tot gratis). Nu știu cum fac alți vânzători, dar eu nu mai dau un ban la Olx. Să dea agentul, că de-aia își ia comision. Rămâne mai puțin spațiu de negociere, dar asta e. Eu oricum mi-am setat un termen, dacă nu îl vând până atunci la un preț convenabil, îl dau în chirie.

Cei care sunteți PFA și aveți abonamente deductibile la clinici private, cum se procedează cu facturile? Se emit facturi lunare sau anuale? Dacă mi-aș face de pildă acum abonament și l-aș plăti în avans pe 12 luni s-ar deduce toată suma (în limita a 400 EUR) din veniturile pe anul 2026? Sau doar lunile aferente anului curent?

I've never had thick hair, but it was passable. 4 year ago I had a phase of intense shedding. Possibly covid-related, as it started about 4 months after I had it. Then it slowed down and partly recovered, only to go through the same thing again a year later. Fine. It was still passable. I started using topical minoxidil around my temples and noticed some new growth after a while. Yay!

This spring I was blessed with alopecia areata. Huge patch almost overnight (or maybe I didn't notice it for a long time), located in the back, to one side, just under the hair from the top. I freaked out and ran to a dermatologist. Got two injections with corticosteroids a month apart. Doc said there was visible progress when I went the second time. At least it's more-or-less covered by the hair from the crown of my head. Fine.

Not even a week after the second session I discover another patch this time at the very top of my head. I don't have enough hair to reliably cover both of them. Even a little wind or movement is exposing one or the other. So I put my hair in a pony tail, with the front combed over the top.

But oh, joy, this is when I discover that the hair at the front & center has thinned visibly. I hadn't noticed because I usually wear it parted to one side.

It's like whackamole and I am running out of hair to cover the gaps!

I'll continue the corticosteroids injections, doc gave me clobetasol for the areata, I'm applying 5% minoxidil on the front & crown, I'm taking a ton of supplements (appropriately spaced out throughout the day to avoid absorption competition), and I'm scheduled for a large panel of blood tests in a few weeks. But meanwhile I just want to scream!

Did I mention I'm in perimenopause and this hair mess is just one of the joys I'm experiencing at the moment?

Am deja un card (de credit) de la CEC care îmi dă 6 intrări gratuite pe an. Dacă îmi fac încă un card (de debit), tot de la CEC, cu aceleași beneficii, pot să le cumulez și să am dreptul la 12 intrări? A încercat cineva din grup combinația asta?

...e bine să știi că n-o să-ți prezinte decât proprietățile "din portofoliul agenției". Adică alea de la care agentul poate să ia comision din ambele părți.

Tu poate îți închipui că îi plătești comision ca să nu trebuiască să monitorizezi tu site-urile și să stai la telefoane cu vânzătorii. Poate te gândești că agentul va face munca pentru care l-ai angajat și te va chema să vizionezi o listă scurtă de proprietăți care se potrivesc criteriilor tale.

Dar nu. Poate să existe locuința perfectă, în bugetul tău, dar dacă e în portofoliul altei agenții, sau proprietarul nu vrea să plătească niște mii de euro pentru un serviciu pe care nu l-a solicitat, locuința aia nici măcar nu îți va fi prezentată.

She had no plan, and completely underestimated Ibrahim's ability to find her. She rented a room at an inn (OF COURSE inns would be the first places where he'd look), then booked passage on a ship leaving a week later (OF COURSE he would send men to ask around in the port).

She should've gone straight to the port and left on the first ship to literally anywhere. Then figure it out later.

Or she could've gone to Hürrem for help, since she would've enjoyed sticking it to Ibrahim for his Firuze game (when he agreed to send her away in exchange for his daughter, then brought her back). And with Nigar gone, she could've convinced Suleyman not to send Rustem to Teke.

Nigar is repeatedly described as smart by several characters. But her actions say otherwise, and it's not just this one. She constantly tries to play everyone against each other, and constantly falls on her face as a result. She is one of the most disloyal characters in the show. She had multiple opportunities to hitch her wagon to Hürrem's, and blew all of them, for no actual gain.

Care ați cumpărat recent, cât ați dat pe mp? Și ce condiții? (nr. de camere, bloc nou sau vechi, zonă, gata de mutat sau necesită renovare etc.)

Nu știu de unde să pornesc negocierile. Nu vreau să îmi iau înjurături dacă ofer prea puțin, dar nici să pic de fraier.

Imobiliare.ro și cam toate site-urile sunt pline de agenții. Grupuri de Facebook sunt multe, dar nu prea par să aibă activitate (cam aceiași oameni postează, tot agenți). Nu vreau să fac chestii de genul "trimit un prieten, apoi mă duc eu direct la proprietar".

Care ați vândut în ultima vreme, unde ați pus anunțurile?

• Fatma has one job: kill Hurrem. Instead, she plays around with the torch, burning her face, instead of just stabbing her. Or at least doing what Elif did to herself: throw a pot of oil over her and set her on fire properly.
• Aybige is supposed to be this Tatar Amazon type who pulls a knife on Bali Bey and talks about wanting to go on campaign, yet the one time her fighting skills are actually necessary, she allows herself to be surrounded and disarmed in 5 seconds by a bunch of harem girls. She could've defended the stairs to the upper floor by just standing at the top and kicking them off, but instead she goes all the way down and turns her back on some of them.
• Once Daye arrives with the guards, it takes them forever to break down the harem door. Meanwhile, the rioters are long gone, and the only girls left in the Stone Room are Hurrem's loyalists who, instead of removing the barricades, sit around crying.
• Ibrahim casually intercepts a letter addressed to Suleyman by his WIFE! And then writes a letter to Hurrem telling her that he did so (thus giving her written proof of what he did). He couldn't just pretend it never arrived? In those days, half the mail probably got lost on the way, messengers were killed etc.
• Hurrem throws Daye under the bus with Valide by telling her that she reported the incident to Suleyman. What was the point of that? How could she be sure the letter even reached Suleyman (which it didn't)? And even if she had known for sure, why spoil Daye's standing with Valide before it was necessary? Daye literally saved her life multiple times. She was starting to become her ally. Why throw that away?
• The rioters were never punished (just moved to the Old Palace for a while). That alone should've been proof that Valide orchestrated the whole thing.
• And why didn't Valide punish the rioters harshly? They failed miserably. There's absolutely no reason why she shouldn't have had them all sewn into sacks and thrown into the Bosphorus. It would've helped her convince Suleyman that she had no hand in what happened. And it would've got rid of potential witnesses.
• No investigation was done into the matter. Hurrem's horse is killed and the entire harem is questioned at length. But Hurrem herself is almost killed and her face burned off, but everyone is like: "oh, well, you survived, çok şükür, let's move on."
• Hurrem also lets the rioters get away with it. Fatma gets a burn on her face, but come on! The Hurrem we know wouldn't have let her live after what she did to her. Not in a million years.
• Burn wounds heal miraculously, without a trace, in an age before skin grafts and antiseptics.

Pardon the rant. The series is generally well done, but this entire plot is utter bullshit.

...and Suleyman looks shocked by how much he has grown. Like, he seriously hasn't seen him in the past couple of years since he and Mahidevran moved there? It's not like he was at the farthest corner of the empire. Edirne is only about 240 km from Istanbul, clearly close enough that the women even went there before one of the campaigns, to enjoy the "clean forest air" and see Suleyman off. So we're supposed to believe that Mustafa hasn't been invited back to the palace for visits, or that Suleyman didn't have some "vacations" there all this time?
