Has anyone tried to bypass Github Sponsors?

Like I know this is a kinda niche one, but there's this tool i was looking at, but it's £10 p/m on Github Sponsors? Like I'm assuming that's a generic hard paywall over a github repo, unlike github premium or something, so has anyone looked into bypassing that idea?

I've just killed my first project, and it's kind of bittersweet?

So basically, as the title says, I ended up not finishing my first project, and right now it's just a draft and will probably stay that way. I liked a lot of the stuff, but I felt like the tempo was kinda hard to work with, and the lyrics didn't suit the tempo, and basically i just didn't really feel like it was going places.

Now it's probably an vocal thing, so maybe with experience I can come back, but I felt like it was a good place to leave it, as it felt like maybe that genre just isn't suited to me. But it hurts, y'know? Knowing that your brainchild will end up just being sidelined, never seeing adulthood.

Like now I know I have the freedom to do other stuff with my time and do new projects, but it still just kinda hurts. Like I feel like maybe i need a break before i work on new stuff.

Struggling to convert from Musical Theatre to more Dark Atmospheric Rap. How can I fix my rhythm and timbre in reaper?

Basically, I wrote my lyrics a while back for this rap that I was doing, and now I'm getting into actually recording everything, it just isn't really working for me now. My rap is supposed to be more in line with old school Tyler the Creator, with long drawling verses that go on forever.

I’m coming from a musical theatre background and struggling to shake the "projected/polished" vibe. I’m trying to achieve a raw, low-energy morning voice-esque or vocal fry delivery, but it keeps feeling too much like pop?

My natural accent is kinda bright and distinct, but that seems to clash with the dark atmosphere of the track and the LA rappers I'm tryna imitate. I'm looking for advice on how to "deaden" my vowels or use FX (like Formant shifting/Saturation) to make the accent feel more menacing and less regional.

The track is 87 BPM with long, sustained bass tones. However, I find myself finishing my lines way too early (within 1 bar), making the flow feel rushed and "nursery rhyme-ish." How can I practice "dragging" my delivery or using syncopation to fill a 4-bar phrase without over-writing?

I'm recording with a USB mic on a non-treated room, so you can hear things like the hum of my computer or background noise. My vocals feel thin and quiet compared to the heavy sub-bass and drums. How can I make a "lazy" whisper sit on top of a heavy mix without it sounding lost or "small"?

My lyrics are falling into very symmetrical, 4-line AABB rhyme schemes. But obviously, I'm tryna get drawling verses? How can I break the "pop hook" structure to make the track just feel more like a train of thought?

I am using WASAPI with a sample count of 512 samples. However, there seems to be a lag with me monitoring my vocals with the FX (ReaPitch/ReaComp). Am I okay to reduce the block size with a my USB microphone, or am I going to have to deal with some cracking?

I'm using ReaPitch to darken my voice, but it’s making me sound a bit 'chipmunk-low.' How do I decouple the Formant Shift from the Shift (Full tones) so I can change the 'throat size' without messing up the tune of my C# bass?

My source recording is very quiet because I'm trying a 'mumble/whisper' delivery. Looking at my mixer, my peak levels are low. Should I be using Normalize on the media items, or is it better to just crank the Pre-amp gain inside ReaComp to get the 'thickness' I need here?

Struggling with saying my lyrics out loud.

Where do Burger, Untitled 63, and Steak Sauce fit in the Wolf Trilogy?

Because I know the trilogy is assumed to stop at Golden, and that feels like the logical end. But the Deluxe edition of Goblin has 3 more songs at the end? I'm assuming that they must fit in some way into the trilogy, otherwise they wouldn't make sense to be on Goblin.

Why are less people scared of the doctor even though he's a time lord?

So I thought, because the Time War was like this insane massive event that sent ripples through the entire universe and all of time, people would be more scared of him? Like if the daleks call him "The Oncoming Storm", you'd assume most of the other creatures would've heard of him? Like I know that if there was this huge war, and the only survivor of said war told me to stop doing stuff, I would 100% stop.

Basically, other than listening to vaporwave compilations when I study on Youtube, and listening to some nostalgic kind of stuff (see Midnight Cities by M83), I have absolutely no real knowledge of the genre of Vaporwave.

Like I could identify it if I heard it, and could mention characteristics, but got help me if somebody asks me what album or song or artist I'd recommend. I like a lot of them, but I just don't actually know the specifics beyond 1994 late night office 鬱ゎ者依.

Can somebody give me some advice regarding where to look?

Basically, the story as is, is that my players completed a non-important quest for a fixer named Scorpion. (They saved a girl kidnapped by gangers, but that's honestly kinda irrelevant). This was initially designed to be a one-shot, but turns out my players got kind of attached to their characters, so we're doing a campaign. This is a brief overview of my 10-15 session campaign I'm running for some cyberpunk first-timers (to the game, not the setting).

So from then on, the main campaign begins. Scorpion offers to take the party to his family's block party. It's a kind of big event, and he wants to invite the party round to talk business whilst also being able to enjoy a cold beer and a tamale. For context, this block party is in the temporary built up housing on the hill next to where North Oak is, although obviously it's on the poor side of that border wall.

At some point in the block party, one of Scorpion's cousins or family members, decides to set off some fireworks to celebrate the event (I don't know why the party is on, it's kinda irrelevant). This includes launching a fuck off big firework called the "Blackhand", named after Morgan Blackhand. This firework manages to clear the border wall seperating the low income housing from North Oak, and explodes near a corpo exec's house. This then causes a catastrophe, as as quickly as the party started, corpo security and NCPD swarm the place, taking no prisoners. They disperse the block party, and the players will have to try and escape the area undetected, or risk being seen as either loose ends or terrorists.

One thing that I do hope the players notice however, is a trio of older teenage girls (18) that were hanging out in the pool attached to the corpo exec's house. These three are who I intend to either be critical plot points, or BBEGs for this campaign.

And that's all I have so far. One of my player's has the motivation for him finding his missing girlfriend, so I'd like to weave that plot point in, but I guess I do want to see how this story goes.

(the girls are modeled after the Heathers from the musical. potentially relevant details?)

Now for my question. At the end of the one shot, I ended up doing a bit of improv towards the end. When Scorpion went to debrief the players in a bar, there was this guy with a white rabbit tattoo that went to attack them, which allowed scorpion to show off his incredible gunslinging skills. However, before the guy died, he mentioned something like "time to go down the rabbit hole." This obviously, doesn't fit with my narrative. So my question is, does anybody have any tips for how to pivot plot points where you didn't want them to happen?

Basically, I've designed an amplifier for my audio setup. All of the stuff looks relatively good, but I'm honestly just kinda confused as for how I should enclose it.

I've looked at project boxes (but honestly all I've seen on Amazon are too small), 3d printing (not a bad idea, but I don't have a 3d printer), custom CNCing of aluminium (very expensive, and something involving a sandwich method using acrylic sheets and risers?

Like I've looked at the electrics and they all seem to have their own benefits, but I'm not really well versed in designing enclosures and stuff. I can do the electrical parts honestly kind of well, but I actually have no clue for how to enclose it all.

I'm sorry that the circuit map and CAD map are kinda low res, I didn't really know how to convert .JSON files into good circuit maps and stuff.

This should equal roughly $118.70 at the time of posting, which doesn't seem to be too bad for an amp.

I know that this may not be the most effective design by far, and i appreciate that, but I'm not too well versed in electrical engineering, and this is what I came up with for now.

EDIT: I would just like to say that the ports being on the side was just a rendering mishap, they are on the back.

So I understand that vaporwave is entirely derived from samples of other Y2K and 80's/90's electronic music, but is there any prolific artists out there that might have produced this stuff onto physical copies?

When I listen to compilations and stuff I find I'm really enjoying it, but most of the music I've looked at links back to an old bandcamp account with 2 and a half followers. Obviously I know bandcamp hasn't existed since the beginning of time, so who made vaporwave popular?

Damn it, I just want some vaporwave vinyl.
