Guys hear me out, here is why I think that Fernando Alonso is the Greatest driver of all time and you should as well.
Look if we just put stats aside for a moment and just talk about pure raw driving skills, I can confidently say that for me Fernando is the best.
He can push every car to it's limit and can adapt fast.
2005 and 2006 shows us clearly that if you give him a car that can fight for a title he can beat a Legend who everyone feared at the time, Michael.
I know lewis fans are going to say "But he lost to a rookie", 2007 performance of lewis was just on another level and he didn't look like a rookie at all, given the confidence in his driving.
If you just look at footage of him of 2007 you'll know what I'm saying.
But Fernando didn't Lose in my opinion,they were equal on points even though Fernando had gear box issues and etc.

After that We all know that Renault was genuinely cooked 2008 to 2009.
Then comes ferrari chapter and Whew, Fernando cooked in his first year and almost WON the title in a car much slower than RB, even though RB had reliability issues, Fernando delivered and left felipe massa in dust.
