Using a Ethernet coupler before the router

Will this work? I currently have FIOS with the ONT in the basement and Ethernet coming out into my router (in a closet). My TH is wired with Cat5E. I'd like to move the router to ether the top floor or the middle floor to maybe help with the signal a bit.

Can I use an Ethernet coupler and connect the Ethernet from the ONT to the Ethernet cable that runs to one of the other 2 floors and then plug that into the router?

Killing Mephisto Season 14

So I've pretty much hit a brick wall at Torment 10. I can't kill Mephisto to unlock Rank 9 for the season. Using a Dance of Knives build and I have no issue with any T10 content or any of the older bosses but as soon as I try Mephisto I can't even make it past phase one.

Is there currently a better build for bossing?

24 hours with my new Orbi 870

So its been about 24 hours since I setup my new Orbi 870 (2 Node system) and I'm pretty sure I'm going to return it. I'm coming from a TP-Link BE63 (3 Node System) (note I was also having intermittent wifi drop outs on this system which is why I decided to try something else)

To start with it took me almost 2 hours to get the Orbi up and running. I had to reboot/reset everything multiple times before it finally pulled a LAN IP address from my Fios ONT.

I kept my SSID's the same name, I have 1 that the 2.4 ghz, 5ghz and 6ghz share and then I have a separate for the IoT devices which I have over 70 of.

The non-IoT devices connected immediately, but none of the IoT devices. Then I realized the IoT SSID wasn't even broadcasting, I changed the name of the IoT SSID and the Password, I rebooted the device and nothing. Finally after turning off the IoT SSID and re-enabling it it finally showed up and most of my devices starting to auto-reconnect.

I'm still have issues with all my Dyson Fan/Purifier which seem to keep dropping the wifi as well as my Google Nest Homes that seem insanely slow to respond now.

A few other things I want to mention. Why has there been no Firmware updates since 9/10/2025 for this model. That is almost a year. I see that the 770 got an update in January of 2026 and the 970 got an update within the last week or two. Did they forget about the 870?

I find the Orbi App lacking compared to the TP-Link one. I can't search for devices by their IP address or MAC address, nor can I sort by IoT devices or what band they are connected on. I also don't see a way to turn on/off VPN without going into the web interface which seems to have a ton more options then the App. It also looks like there is no way to force a band or a specific node to a device.

My purchase included a year of Netgear Armor but I feel like once that expires I'm going to lose a lot of functionality. (I could be wrong but it looks like that holds most of the App features).

I guess my next option might be to try an ASUS. Anyone else have any of the concerns/experiences. I have about 29 days left to return it if I want to go that route.

Spigen NeoOne case

I just picked up the Spigen Neo One case on Prime day. Let me start with saying this is one the coolest looking cases I've ever bought and looks great with the Cobalt Violet color.

With that said i didn't realize how thin it was, and now I'm nervous it won't actually protect my S26 Ultra from a drop even though they claim military drop rated.

Anyone have any experience dropping theirs? Did it survive?

Advice on Mesh Network

For about 4 years I had a Mesh network at home (2 Nodes) using the Alien Amplifi system. One of them died and with Ubiquiti no longer supporting the Amplifi Brand and also wanting to get at least Wifi 6E I decided to jump to a WIFI 7 Mesh network. I went with the TP-Link BE63 3 node system. I have 1 Gig Fios connection comming in and using a wired back-haul. (house is pre-run with Cat5E). I have a 3 story townhouse so currently have 1 node on each level (though prior I just had 1 in the basement and 1 on the 3rd floor).

I have around 85 wifi devices connected and most of them are IoT devices. Sadly I think the stability on the TP-Link is really poor. A lot of my devices randomly go offline.

I know basically there is only 4 options when it comes consumer friendly Mesh networks. ASUS, Eero, Orbi and TP-Link. Honestly reading reviews people have complaints with all of them. I was considering going for the Orbi 870, but at almost $1000 it seems ridiculous.

Any advice on what to switch to or maybe get my Tp-Link more stable?

Thanks in advance,

***Edit***

To Answer some other questions:

House is 3 story TH around 2300 square feet and about 700 square feet per level)

Budget: Prefer under $800

Joined the party

Just upgraded to the 26 Ultra from the S25 Ultra.

Cost me $443 out the door from Samsungs Website.

Got $720 trade in on the S25 Ultra

Got $150 off for paying through PayPal (current promo)

Got a discount from EPP on both phone and ear buds.

Got $100 off the ear buds for the accessory credit.

And then used my Samsung Reward points.

I did opt for the 256 gb model but I rarely come anywhere close to using that amount of storage.

Gove Floor Lamp 2 Flickering

So I have 2 Govee Floor Lamp 2s. The other day I noticed 1 started flickering at the top when it was any color other than a white light. Reached out to Govee and even though it was out of warranty they sent me a replacement.

Now my other one is doing the exact same thing. Anyone else run into this?

Looking for a frame for adjustable bed

Just swapped out my bed and picked up a Split King. So far I like it but it feels so bland after having a nice bed frame with my previous mattress (was a queen).

Any recommendations for a bedframe with a headboard that would work with a split king adjustable?

Thanks in advance.

Which build do you recommend for killing Mephisto T12 or Lilth?

Been playing around with a few builds with my Barb (Paragon 240) in T12 and I just can't seem to do enough damage to beat Mephisto or even Lilth. What currently is the best build for both of those 2 bosses? Is it currently some version of WW?

Picked up a refurbished 55 LG OLED today. Noticed there is a very small dent in the corner (on the frame), and some paint missing. I obviously I knew i was buying a refurbished TV but surprised to see physical damage.

I could re-package it and take it back, not that heavy but super inconvenient. Do you think MicroCenter would be willing to refund anything based on the damage?

Ok here is an odd one. I have the DECO BE11000 system, in a 3 story TH. Main Router in the basement, 1 in the living room and 1 in the master bedroom. I'm using a Wired Backhaul for the 2 nodes.

The One in the master bedroom has an Ethernet cable running directly to my LG OLED. Randomly I'll loose network connectivity on that TV. Its very sporadic, and tends to happen more late at night. The only temporary fix I found is to connect that TV with WIFI also, so when the Ethernet connection drops the WIFI connection picks up almost immediately.

Any ideas what it could be? I've swapped the network cable, so I don't believe that is the issue.
