I worked for museums when I was younger, so I’m probably more cautious than most, but if you have a project that you are planning to sand, strip, or even deep clean; check for lead. If your dollhouse is over 30 years old or you do not know how old it is or where it came from; check for lead. A lead test kit should be an essential in any tool kit that involves working with antiques, and it is a 40- second test that can save you 40 years of illness. Check your paint. check your nails, check your solder, check your miniature ceramics. They didn’t know how bad lead was back then, so it is in everything.

I posted yesterday that I had found the little white meeze, I went out on my lunch break to check the area just in case. Lo and behold, a little tuxie in the same area, same age but in better shape. Looked for about an hour after for mom or more babies, to no avail. I couldn’t tell is there were more babies because of all the birds, so I’ll go out again in the evening. She was soooo hungry. She was a bit dehydrated but not wet or cold like her brother. The BOTH stink like ferrets lol. Still very cute

Found him in the rain yesterday, he was in a little dish full of water and freezing cold. after getting him dry, warm, and fed, I spent several hours looking for his family to no avail. I ended up taking him to the vet where he got a clean bill of health. He’s about the size of a Syrian hamster which is what I thought he was when I found him curled up in a little ball. His eyes went from closed to open in the 10 hours we’ve been hanging out together and he demands to be fed every two hours on the dot lol. he’s a cute little guy who stinks like a ferret.

Noticed these at the base of several different trees around Symphony Hall in Boston, Massachusetts.

My mother recently passed away, and she absolutely adored this tree, it turns bright Scarlet in the fall and is shaped like a bonsai. It’s so beautiful. My brother wants to cut it down so I’ve been trying to sell it, so that at least goes to a good home, but all the offers in my inbox are so insane that I think it simply will not happen. I’m not sure what to do. I live in an apartment and I can’t afford to keep it or move it, especially after all the fees of my mother‘s funeral, but we can’t give it away for free because if we list it for free that will not incentivize people to be careful with my brother’s yard. I wish there was a tree conservationist society or something that we could donate it to.

I sent this card to PSA and I don’t remember specifically the big white spot on the back they marked down as the reason for the 9 unfortunately I only took the one scan of the back (ignore my grubby scanner), am I missing something or did I get psa’ed? I’m really upset because I’ve never pulled a card like this and it was going to be a gift. I’m not even sure it’s the same card at this point, I feel as if some measurements are a bit off 😭but I can’t tell if I’m just crazy

He’s a little hissy and so so hungry, I’m taking him to be seen tomorrow. He was a good sport when I wiped off his eye guk and removed a few ticks, but is definitely scared. Neighbor came and got me when he heard him crying from where he was stuck in a concrete inset porch. I’m not sure I’m up to the task of being his person, but I will make sure to take care of him tonight and make sure he is safe and warm. He’s sleeping in the litter box I set up for him in my bathroom, he let me pet him to sleep.

Just getting started in the game, got the Vex and Vi starter decks and proving grounds, and some packs.
