How IMF makes you go insane

Even in the most liberal countries, no govt can have authority over someone's body.

Munir and co have lost all their senses under IMF pressure, and we know well how Sindh always takes lead in going backwards.

Unislamic forms of government - Ayatollah Yazdi(r.a)

English translation:

The belief that no one has authority over the servants of God without the permission of God, is a fundamental principle in Islamic thought.

It is by the acceptance of this principle, the political philosophy of Islam can be distinguished from other existing schools and in this regard the theory of wilayat al-faqih from other theories of government and political systems.

It is for this reason that those who believe in the legitimacy of the government of the elite, the philosophers and sages, the nobles and affluent, or those who gain a victory in a war and take over through violence and the use of force and even the theory of democracy follow a separate form than that of Islamic thought.

Over billing - PTCL users

Attention to all PTCL users.

Kindly take a moment and investigate whether your bills are in accordance to what their official tariff shows (not talking about tax)

There have been multiples reports that PTCL has deliberately put subscribers to a random package without approval, or likely under a special package that charges even more than higher speed packages. And they do not provide any official tariff for that so that it cannot be verified by customer end.

I have reported my case to PTA. A show cause notice has been issued to the company If investigation escalates, thousands of innocent customers could get a relief as it is potentially a big misconduct case.

Verify your bills and report for discrepancies.

JazakAllah

Calling Imam Sajjad(as) as the sick Imam? - Shaheed Mutahhari

English translation:

There is another thing which is quite popular especially amongst us Iranians. We refer to the Fourth Imam (a) as "Abid-e Bimar” (i.e. the sick one). In no language do we ever come across the epithet bimar along with the name of Imam Zayn al-'Abidin. Such an epithet does not exist in Arabic. He has a number of appellations, one of which is al-Sajjad (i.e. one who prostrates a lot), another is Dhual-Thafanat (i.e. one who has callouses on his forehead, due to prostrations). Do you find any book in Arabic that may contain an epithet synonymous with the word sick for the Imam?

Imam Zayn al-'Abidin (a) was only ill during the days of the episode of 'Ashura (perhaps it was an act of providence meant to save the Imam's life and to preserve the progeny of Imam Husayn) and this very illness saved his life.Several times they wanted to kill the Imam, but as he was seriously ill, they would leave him saying, Innahu li-ma bih... i.e., Why should we kill him. He is himself dying. Who in the world has not fallen ill at some time or another during his life?

Apart from this instance of his illness, see if you can find any other reference stating that Imam Zayn al-Abidin was sick. But we have pictured Imam Zayn al-'Abidin as someone chronically ill, pale faced, suffering from fever and as someone bent with weakness and always carrying a walking stick and someone who moans as he walks !

The same distortion and lie about the Imam's figure has led some people to continually groan and moan and make themselves appear as chronically sick so that people may revere them for that and say, “Look at him, he is just like Imam Zayn al-'Abidin the Bimar!” This is distortion. Imam Zayn al-'Abidin was not any different from Imam Husayn (aa) or Imam Baqir (as) in respect of physical health and constitution.

Does Lady Fatimah(s.a) attend our Majalis? - Murtadha Mutahhari

A distorted objective of mourning is that solace and consolation may be provided for Janab-e-Zahra (s.a), for she comes to the gatherings to receive condolences for her "light of the eye" (beloved son). When the reality is that her respected holy persona resides gracefully in Jannat al-Fardous alongside her beloved son(a.s), in proof of which the sacred words of the Sayyid al-Shuhada(a.s) himself can be presented, which he spoke at the time of his martyrdom, stating: “Now I am departing from this world so that I may reach the presence of my grandfather, the Holy Prophet (PBUH), my illustrious father, and my mother of high status and dignity.”

Despite the fact that the Mistress of the Universe(s.a) is present in Jannat al-Fardous alongside her two lights of the eyes (sons), she still becomes restless upon hearing our baseless and fabricated elegies, solely for the purpose of weeping, and attends every gathering so she can find comfort from the grief-stricken attendees. Is there any greater insult imaginable than this? That the sole and ultimate purpose of all the emphasis by the Prophet (PBUH) and the Imams (PBUH) to keep the revolution of Karbala alive is merely that the Mistress of both Worlds (s.a) should leave her two sons in Paradise and attend our gatherings just to listen to our self-fabricated and insulting elegies?

What solace would she receive from our fictional myth-making? Yes, she must surely return with a heavy heart after witnessing a new act of oppression against the Sayyid al Shuhada (a.s).

Finding potentials during Muharram

Let’s break the taboo

There is broad agreement among Maraji that searching for a spouse, sending proposals, and even conducting a nikah are permissible during the month of Muharram. So permissibility itself was never really the question.

The debate usually shifts from whether it is allowed to whether it is morally appropriate.

Marriage is among the most blessed pursuits in Islam. It is not merely a Sunnah, it is strongly emphasized as a means of preserving faith, strengthening taqwa, and building a stable life. Especially in modern times where vulgarity and temptation surround people, marriage is the most practical path toward closeness to Allah. Thus a good intention remains unquestionable.

Psychologically as well, marriage is not simply a luxury but a natural need. Islam never sought to erase human nature, rather it regulates it through halal means. Just as people continue eating, drinking, sleeping, working, and fulfilling other lawful needs during Muharram, the desire to find a spouse does not disappear simply because the month carries sanctity.

In fact, Muharram can be a blessing in disguise for unmarried people. These gatherings bring together families and communities that otherwise rarely meet throughout the year. They allow people to connect with likeminded individuals, become involved in the community, and expand social circles in an appropriate and respectful environment. Families also naturally observe and consider suitable matches for their children. Matchmaking has always been a two-way process, and there is nothing irrational about benefiting from such opportunities, especially in these times where finding good reliable people is a universal challenge.

It is worth remembering: what is halal remains halal in Muharram and vice versa.

When some people hear that others are looking for a Rishta, they immediately associate it with improper interaction, unnecessary mixing, staring at non-mahrams, or dating culture. These assumptions are neither fair nor realistic. Seeking marriage does not automatically imply crossing Islamic boundaries. Same is the case for dressing and presentability.

The biggest objection often raised by pseudo intellectuals is the sanctity of Muharram. However, sending proposals or beginning the process of marriage does not, in itself, violate that sanctity. What would conflict with the social customs of Muharram is turning it into celebration or public festivity which is mostly not the case.

Even where some Maraji permit conducting a nikah in Muharram, permission does not necessarily mean encouraging visible celebration. Respect for the atmosphere of grief and remembrance should still be maintained.

So before morally policing others, it may be worth distinguishing between what religion actually discourages and what society has simply become uncomfortable discussing.

PS: The post is intended to remove ambiguity, discourage moral judgment, and ensure that people are not made to feel ashamed or hesitant about pursuing something halal in these days.

A false notion of Islam - Imam Khomeini (R.A)

Islam is the religion of militant individuals who are committed to truth and justice. It is the religion of those who desire freedom and independence. It is the school of those who struggle against imperialism. But the servants of imperialism have presented Islam in a totally different light. They have created in men’s minds a false notion of Islam. The defective version of Islam, which they have presented in the religious teaching institution, is intended to deprive Islam of its vital, revolutionary aspect and to prevent Muslims from arousing themselves in order to gain their freedom, fulfill the ordinances of Islam, and create a government that will assure their happiness and allow them to live, lives worthy of human beings.

For example, the servants of imperialism declared that Islam is not a comprehensive religion providing for every aspect of human life and has no laws or ordinances pertaining to society. It has no particular form of government. Islam concerns itself only with rules of ritual purity after menstruation and parturition. It may have a few ethical principles, but it certainly has nothing to say about human life in general and the ordering of society.

This kind of evil propaganda has unfortunately had an effect. Quite apart from the masses, the educated class—university students and also many students at the religious teaching institutions—have failed to understand Islam correctly and have erroneous notions. Just as people may, in general, be unacquainted with a stranger, so too they are unacquainted with Islam. Islam lives among the people of this world as if it were a stranger. If somebody were to present Islam as it truly is, he would find it difficult to make people believe him. In fact, the agents of imperialism in the religious teaching institutions would raise a hue and cry against him.

The Great Leader, Sayyid Ruhollah Khomeini (R.A)
