• Bugs that hit core flows: Letterboxd/TV Time import date corruption (partially fixed), incomplete history sync, “Trakt Service Unreachable,” search failures.
• Monetization friction: $60 VIP feels high relative to delivered value for many; free limits hit heavy users hard during the TV Time migration wave.

Perception that critical feedback is suppressed (forum/Reddit moderation complaints appear repeatedly).

• Reddit r/trakt: Multiple high-engagement threads calling the redesign a “disaster,” “downgrade,” or reason to cancel VIP. Some users explicitly left or moved to browser-only.
• X: Direct complaints about the forced redesign, removed dashboard, harder check-ins; competing apps actively marketing “love Trakt data, hate the UI → use us instead.”

The official V3 client is currently the weak link for retention of experienced users. The TV Time shutdown is giving them a user influx, but free-tier limits + residual import friction + UX friction are converting some of that into “Trakt alternatives” searches and third-party client adoption.

Why. Why did you massacre the web experience? Is it cos mobile is the ROI engine? It'd be interesting to see how your traffic is doing post the 'uplift'.

With everything that’s happened in the last few years..AI copilots, Python ecosystems, Snowflake/Databricks, and a flood of cheaper no/low-code tools - how is Alteryx still justifying its pricing?

Is the value really in governance and ease-of-use for non-technical users, or are companies just locked in and unwilling to switch?

Genuinely curious where it still wins today vs where it’s coasting on brand and inertia. Most colleagues of mine are jumping ship and calling Alteryx a dud.
