¡Gracias!

I can't hit anything up close

Hey guys, I need some advice on how to improve my close-range aim with Genji.

Whenever I’m in a 1v1 or right in the enemy's face, I try using secondary fire (right-click) like you're supposed to. Even when I feel like my crosshair is right on them, I miss almost every single shuriken. They strafe, jump, or move unpredictably, and I just can't track them at close range. It usually ends with me dying, them escaping, or me doing zero damage.

The same thing happens with Dragonblade. Half the time I either get POTG or completely whiff, fail to hit anyone because they're too close, or lose track of my targets entirely.

Against static bots or predictable movement in the Practice Range, I hit my shots fine, but the moment real players start moving erratically, my aim falls apart.

For context, I play on PC with a pretty low sensitivity (3.5). I know people usually recommend higher sens for Genji, but cranking it up just doesn't feel right or helpful for me.

How do you guys practice close-range tracking and prediction for moving targets? Are there specific Workshop custom codes, drills, or aiming techniques you recommend for hitting secondary fire when enemies are jumping/strafing right next to you?

Appreciate any tips!

The new Genji Mythic matches so well with Celestial Guardian Mercy!

So Blizzard just revealed the new "Koi of Duality" Genji Mythic and I’m actually obsessed. They completely ditched his usual cyborg look for a full-on Oni demon vibe, he has the horned mask, sharp claws, flaming hair, and those floating spiritual Koi fish split between red and green.

I can't stop thinking about how incredible it’s gonna look next to Mercy's Celestial Guardian skin!!! It’s literally the ultimate Angel x Demon / Heaven x Hell dynamic. You have Mercy looking all divine and holy with her celestial wings, standing next to Genji looking like an aggressive spirit straight out of the underworld. Plus, since his whole skin is based on duality and balance, having Mercy as his heavenly counterpart that keeps him grounded just fits so nicely... But that's just me, what do you guys think of this pair? Is it a good match? Let me know in the comments!

D.va and D.mon are confirmed to have a Sibling-like Dynamic!

In the new Overwatch Short Story: Growing Pains, Hana calls Yuna "Unnie - Eonni", Used only by females to address an older sister or an older, sister-like friend. This aligns with the leaked D.va voiceline where she says "I learnt that from you, Eonni!", which we now know refers to Yuna.

Are you excited for the new tank hero? Let me know in the comments!

I'm frustrated with the way the narrative is moving forward

I need to vent because the narrative direction of Overwatch lately is giving me serious whiplash. It feels like every time the writers take one step forward, they immediately take ten steps back with some of the most baffling, lazy writing decisions possible.

The way they are handling Genji right now is the perfect example of this. It feels like they are rushing him from one plot point to the next, completely butchering his established lore and erasing his most important character relationships.

1. The Comic Contradiction (Forgetting basic lore)

First, we have that comic panel of Genji telling Mizuki he sent him to Overwatch to "find redemption" because "that's where he went to find himself."

Are we serious right now? Overwatch essentially pressured a dying, vulnerable Genji into becoming a cybernetic black-ops weapon for Blackwatch in exchange for saving his life. It nearly destroyed him mentally. He found peace, self-acceptance, and redemption in Nepal with Zenyatta, not under Overwatch's banner, literally the only good thing he had while in Blackwatch was getting to meet Angela. It is genuinely depressing to see the writers forget the foundational pillars of Genji's story just to force a convenient dialogue line.

2. The Kidnapping and the "Off-Screen" Rescue

Then, Genji gets kidnapped. This should have been a massive deal with high stakes. Instead, the rescue mission is incredibly rushed, resolved almost instantly, and carries zero narrative weight.

What makes this even worse is that Mercy was part of the rescue team. Angela is the doctor who rebuilt him, his primary emotional anchor during his darkest years, and someone who deeply cares about him. Yet, the rescue team doesn't even play part in the actual rescuing, and after it happens:

  • There is absolutely zero follow-up or concern shown.
  • They don't have a single interaction about this event.
  • It's treated like a minor inconvenience rather than an important event.

3. Total Radio Silence (Both in lore and in-game)

The complete lack of communication between Genji and Mercy is incredibly out of character for both of them:

  • In the Webtoon (Undivided): They finally shared a brief moment of connection, only for Genji to immediately run away to Japan without even saying a proper goodbye to her.
  • After the Rescue: He apparently leaves Overwatch again with zero conversation between them.
  • In-game: Complete silence. No new pre-match lobby interactions, no voice lines acknowledging his kidnapping, his current state, or his sudden departure.

It makes absolutely no sense for someone as deeply empathetic as Mercy to show zero concern for Genji. And it makes no sense for Genji to keep treating the woman who saved his life like an NPC he can just ghost whenever he wants.

Why build up these deep, complex relationships over a decade if you’re just going to ignore them when the perfect emotional payoff is right in front of you?

It honestly feels like the current narrative team has no idea what to do with these classic characters anymore. It's as if they’re bored of the original Overwatch cast and would rather throw away years of established character development just to focus on playing doll with the newer, younger characters.

Is anyone else incredibly frustrated by how cheap and rushed the lore feels lately?

I am new to the game, what is this room? a bug?

I've been playing nonstop for some hours, picked this kid with orange hair because he looks funny, and then this room appeared? It looks bugged, is this an error I can report to someone? The game says it's in beta so I guess that's why

Can we ship it or what 😳

Now that they’re walking back on Pharmercy and shifting back to Gency, do y'all think Pharah would look good with Sierra? Their teamwork in the latest Webtoon chapter really made me feel things I-

Can I still get victory poses from past battle passes?

I see this victory pose was part of a past season's battle pass. Does that mean I can't get it anymore?

Update: Had my first decent game with Genji and I’m actually proud of myself! (Replay code included)

I made a post some time ago about how I suck at the game in general but still wanted to give Genji a try. You guys gave me some really solid advice, and I've been practicing and playing him for the past week.

Well, today I finally had my first game where I felt like I actually did decently!

I still think I want some guide from you guys, so if any of you want to check it out and give me a few pointers on what to improve next, here is the replay code: DZV5CE

I feel really proud of myself. I know I didn't do anything crazy or mind-blowing, but just having a decent game where things clicked is more than enough for me right now :) Thanks again for all the help!

How do we feel about the ship-teasing/canon pushing for Genji?

Hey guys, lately I’ve been noticing that the devs seem to be pushing things like Pharmercy, and I’ve seen some discussion around the "Spuriken" (Cassidy x Genji) dynamic becoming more of a thing in the canon.

I honestly don’t know if this sub is into lore/shipping at all, but I was curious to see what you guys think about it. Do you feel like it adds to the characters, or are you pretty indifferent to the whole "canon ship" thing? I'd say it's pretty odd how much they have harmed Gency since Michael Cho left the narrative team...

I can't hit anyone with Genji, how do I get better?

Hi, I'm a PC player and wanted to try Genji for a while... I've heard he's one of the hardest characters to master, I've always sucked at dps games, my aim is not great, but with Heroes like Shion, Emre, Mauga and Juno I think my aim ain't that bad sometimes... Well I've tried Genji and I just can't get my dmg up, I ain't hitting shit, I feel like the bullets take too long to get to where I'm aiming...

What do I have to do to get better at this? Is this normal? Plus, anytime the enemy sees me, the come at me and I die a quick death, it's annoying...

Please don't be scared to be harsh! I can handle the truth, help me!

What Gency interactions are currently active in the game?

Hi everyone,

I’ve been testing Genji and Mercy interactions in a custom game/interaction map, but I’m struggling to find which ones are actually active right now.

Most of the time, the only lines that trigger for me are:

  • "Now that Overwatch is back, I insist that you start dressing up for the Halloween parties."
  • "Why did we really stop writing each other?"

Both of these seem to be acting up or bugging out for me. Does anyone know which specific Gency interactions are currently working and active in the current patch? I'm trying to figure out if there's a larger pool of lines available or if these are basically the only ones left in the rotation.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Gency or Pharmercy: Which ship does the community support more?

I wanted to open up a discussion about the ongoing debate between Gency and Pharmercy. Which ship does the community actually favor at this point, and why?

My question comes after seeing Pharah and Mercy getting matching skins again in the new detective set. For a while, I genuinely thought the Pharmercy agenda inside the dev team would slow down following the departure of Gavin Jurgens-Fyhrie, who was notoriously pushing for them in the lore against Gency.

In fact, prior to this detective set, it really felt like we were seeing a new wave of Gency content from the devs, making it seem like the classic Day 1 pairing was back on track. But now, this sudden shift back to Pharmercy cosmetics caught me by surprise!

As far as I'm aware, the Mercy player base used to support Gency more (at least according to a big post they made about this topic a while ago).

How does the community feel about this? Do you prefer the original Gency dynamic or the Pharmercy direction? Let’s talk about it!

Fresh off the original show and the movie, and I am absolutely losing my mind over Teela in Revelation Ep 1.

Hey everyone,

I just started Masters of the Universe: Revelation. In a previous post, I gave my thoughts about the new MOTU movie that came out, talking about how as a newcomer I prepared myself by watching the original 80s series, and now after the movie, I'm giving MOTU: Revelation a shot... and I am absolutely losing my mind over the end of Episode 1. I cannot believe the words coming out of Teela’s mouth right after the ultimate tragedy.

Adam had to carry the burden of immense power, while having to pretend to be a coward, a lazy and weak man, a disappointment to his father, and a burden to his friends and kingdom. He fought countless battles with the constant fear of losing everything, knowing he wouldn’t be able to protect his loved ones if the secret ever got out. He literally just atomized himself and sacrificed his entire existence to save her and the universe.

And now, on the day of his death, this is what Teela has to say? That everyone is a liar, including the hero who just died for her? That's what she got from all this?

Instead of showing grief, empathy, or a shred of understanding for the massive psychological weight her best friend carried in silence to keep her safe, she turns his ultimate sacrifice into a petty tantrum about herself. She literally stands there and yells at grieving parents who just lost their only son, and at a traumatized mentor, because she’s mad she was left out of the loop.

Am I crazy for being this furious? How did you guys handle this when the show first dropped? Because right now, I’m struggling to find any empathy for her character.

Just watched the movie as a total newcomer and I loved it, but I have a few critiques. Here are my thoughts!

I have never consumed any He-Man content in my life; I only knew him through memes and pop culture. When I heard people were actually enjoying the new movie, I decided to look into it. I watched a few episodes of the original 80s cartoon first and found them incredibly entertaining with a truly charming cast.

After that, I finally watched the movie and I was blown away. You can really tell it was made with love. The special effects, the villains, the plot, and the cast were spectacular—I literally got goosebumps multiple times.

However, after finishing it, I have a few critique points that I wanted to share with you passionate fans:

1. Everyone knowing Adam is He-Man I’ve never thought it made much sense for Adam to keep his identity a secret. The Sorceress says it's to keep his loved ones safe, but they are always in danger anyway! Still, I found a lot of charm in that classic trope—Teela having a crush on He-Man without knowing it’s Adam, or Adam struggling with his family thinking he’s just a lazy, weak coward. Losing that dynamic felt like a missed opportunity.

2. Does He-Man kill? In the cartoon, I don’t remember him ever killing or seriously injuring his enemies (let alone slashing them with his sword). I honestly thought the movie’s arc would be about Adam trying to be the brutal warrior his father wanted, only to realize by the end that it's not who he is—that he is empathetic and can stop the bad guys without taking a life. But in the movie, he just kills them... I guess I might have misunderstood his character?

3. Orko and Cringer barely had any screen time I was waiting for them to join the main crew early on. Instead, Orko only appeared in the post-credits scene to give us the classic moral lesson (which was great, honestly), and Cringer barely showed up near the end. We didn't really get to see his iconic timid and cowardly nature. Plus, they just gave him the Battle-Cat armor and name without Adam actually transforming him with the sword... that was kinda lame tbh, but still, I enjoyed seeing them.

Aight, that's it! Please let me know your thoughts on these points and what you all thought about the movie as well!
