I recently got a brand new Legion and I absolutely love the machine, but I’ve been reading a lot on this sub about how power-hungry these processors are. Everyone seems to recommend undervolting to keep the temperatures under control and maintain sustained performance.

Here is my current config:

Model: Lenovo Legion 5 pro

CPU: i9-14900HX

GPU: 5070

RAM: 32gb

I am a complete newbie when it comes to PC tuning, messing with BIOS settings, or tweaking voltages. I know I need to do it to improve my thermals, but I want to make sure I do it safely without causing constant blue screens or messing up my new laptop.

I don't have any specific voltage values in mind yet, and I am starting completely from scratch. I'm hoping to get some advice on a few things:

The BIOS: What exact settings do I need to unlock or change in the Lenovo BIOS before I can even start?

The Software: What is the best and safest software for a beginner to use for this (ThrottleStop, etc.)?

The Process: What is the safest step-by-step approach to finding a stable undervolt for everyday gaming and heavy workloads?

Also if anyone has the same laptop and done this can you share your values?

If anyone has any solid baseline guides, tips, or newbie-friendly advice, I would massively appreciate it. Thank you

I was thinking of Zebronics nc 9200 it's a cheap knockoff of llano v12 but tbh from where i am llano v12 is way too expensive is it a good thing to buy? I had an ai interview yesterday and it was like the most horrible experience ever first of all I had to restart 3 times cuz it just stopped and started lagging or just Looping through the same question again and again. Now in my 4th attempt after the 10 min mark that ai interviewer decided to restart again started asking all the questions from the beginning even though which we had already covered it was such a bad experience i literally had to go through that all again and now comes the job part after all this I got a rejection letter even after having all the required skills that were mentioned and when I try to click on better explanation of why I was rejected no response nothing. Tbh they really need to change the way they are hiring rn

I had a lenovo legion 5 with rtx 3060 Ryzen 7 5800h it suddenly died one day stopped working I looked on this subreddit and saw a lot of people facing this issue. Now sadly I had to sell this for parts. But now I need a new laptop should I still consider legion again? People were claiming the issue in the older models were they used low quality solder joints for cpu ( i am not sure) is it still the same for new generations too? And with current High prices is it the right time to buy now or is there any chance the price would drop a bit in the next 2 months maybe during black friday sale or something

Also how much hrs to finish a task?

And when the application review will be done it was saying it took typically 2 days and it's been 2 days still it's under review

I had a lenovo legion 5 rtx 3060 Ryzen 7 5800h it's been 3 and 1 half years now and warranty is over( i extended it for 3 years) and yesterday suddenly it just stopped working like not even booting and when i checked i found. That it's a very common issue among lenovo laptops because of weak solder joints of cpu. And it's basically dead now I don't know what to do I am not in a condition to buy a new motherboard earlier it was issue with display wiered lines appeard on it people were also saying it's a common issue what happened to laptop nowadays man why all this even after paying such a hefty amount. I am in college in my 3rd year pursuing my major in cs i am just lost on what to do and can't do anything without laptop

Edit btw one more thing the laptop just works normally like nothing happened when I just distance heatsink from motherboard it's like booting up normally working fine but the moment when it touches the motherboard or i guess cpu it just causes the issue

I have a lenovo legion 5 2021 model Ryzen 7 5800h with rtx 3060 yesterday it was not booting up like literally dead I took it to a repair shop he is saying when heat sink is getting in contact with motherboard it causes the laptop to switch off he is still trying to figure it out what's the main issue or which components are causing this ? Man first of all I want to be clear that wuwa is the only gacha i am playing currently because it's only one who has kept me hooked up I have dropped everything else but what is this current state of game Like

All of my 1.x units are basically dead like look at jhinsi( she never get her bis support or like nightmare jue echo or something it's like kuro has forgotten her) and also yinlin she deal no damage at all ( even kuro knows that that's why we got a 25% buff to them in matrix game mode)

And now all this hp inflation in this latest reset of both whimwa and toa is way too much like seriously just why

A lot of 1.x units need a buff and except for verina all the standard units are basically dead no matter how many copies you get you can't use them

Even though I appreciate the current quality of quest like cyberpunk Collab was peak the current animation especially of denia quest was also way too good but man all this is going way too out of hand at least the bare minimum they could do is give some better buffs to old team

I really feel like they need to buff some old units if they are going to keep this trend of hp inflation because at this rate 2.x teams will be useless

Edit to all those saying gacha games are like that and stuff i agreed every company wants to make money and kuro too like at the end of the day new characters will pull more bucks But like tbh I feel like hp inflation is the laziest way they are doing all this stuff maybe like release some more universal supports which can indirectly buff older instead of plainly buffing them maybe character with different animation and cool play style or even unique story I am sure people will also pull for that But hp inflation feels really like the laziest way to push people and even inflating hp to some extent is fine but 40-45% in 2 resets i guess it's a lot

Main goal is to pull yang yang will I have enough pulls till then?
