Added 1/4 of nal to 25mg last night trying to ramp up. Horrible sleep and sick as a dog now- again. All this nausea makes me nervous. Will I ever get to 50mg?

I am slowly ramping up the Nal due to nausea and insomnia. Got up to 25mg a night and take 300bupe in the Am. My doc said the typical Nal dose in contrave is 36mg so I’m to add another 1/4 of a pill daily in the am if possible, (I’m splitting the 50mg tab of Nal). My doc said he is t real familiar with using these 2 meds this way but my insurance covers the bupe free and Nal is 10$ so much cheaper than contrave on my insurance. Anyway, I see most take 50mg of Nal.
Also I like to drink- a few glasses 👓 f wine (2) when out with friends sometimes it’s more but not often. Or 2 fancy cocktails-
I see Nal is hard on the liver. I don’t have alcohol issues and it’s fine not to drink but we go with friends to diff wineries etc regularly and also I’m nervous about being really sick if I have drinks. I include drinks in my calorie counts when we do go out. Mostly I’m worried about liver health.

I’m retired and have too much time so I mess with my pool daily. Although I watch my FC daily I bought the Phos remover since mine are over 4000. Even tho most say not necessary- anyway when I opened I used jacks
Blue metal remover I had stains/ also removed some water so at one point Leslie said I had no metals. This product states it will turn water
Brown If there is any metal sequestrant in the water. So just curious if I do this- and the water turns brown and releases any suspended metals, do I use jacks again? This is all hypothetical mainly for my knowledge-
I’m now unsure I’m doing any of it - I don’t want to make a mess as the season is ending soon in Ohio. , but I bought the Orenda and I’m kinda itching to use it.

I have the money to buy water bricks. . They are quite pricy but I like the stacking model since I can put them in our closet where the fuses are located… a place where no one looks to see what I do and either mock me or say “now I know where to go in case…etc”. Spouse has zero interest in my prep but he doesn’t ridicule me. The recent outbreak of parasite made him rethink what I spent on aero gardens and we have lettuce year round. Anyway, I plan on purchasing the additive that keeps the water safe for 5 years. Before I press BUY- is there any other far less pricy alternative that takes up similar small space and can be treated to last five years. (Water preserver concentrate) I’m relatively new at prepping but have stored significant amt. dry goods in Mylar bags but have no water. Area does not allow rain barrels etc (WTF?) I am a small woman with limited capability for anything technical but I’m an RN so not dense I’m just trying to do it the easiest way without asking for any help from the naysayers.

Just read about Puerto Rico rationing water due to drought. I’ve put away gallons of water in plastic jugs (would last a few days) but I’ve read water in plastic will degrade over time. I’ve stored it in a dark basement but read the plastic can leach in and/or organic “stuff” will grow in it. I have lots of aqua tabs- are these useful in this situation? I know the leaching plastic can’t be helped but more concerned if a “bug” of some sort that could cause stomach distress could occur/ and could be treated with aqua tabs. I have a pool if i needed water to flush or clean off a bit but this saved water is for drinking .

I adopted a 13 yo female cockapoo. This dog was raised fires half on kibble and later years fresh pet. She is overweight by about 5-7 pounds, has slipping knee caps and arthritis so doesn’t like walking. Is covered in moles that crust and bleed. (Vet said leave alone they grow back and there are at least 50 or more large and small). Missing the small teeth has incisors and back teeth. I want to make healthy food for this dog/ I can buy chicken and eggs at aldi or Costco and carrots but what else should I include in the meals? I want to help her lose weight although excercise will be limited. The records show no allergies (owner has died but gave up dog at the end so there were records). Dog 🐶 s on dosaquin for arthritis. Also once I make home made food I’m unsure how much to feed as in volume and once or twice a day.
I haven’t had a dog in awhile always had them growing up and dad bought kibble but I want to treat this dog and hopefully improvements health. I’m just asking for healthy recipes for a medium sized cocka poo

Having a party - fresh is out due to the parasite and Ohio is hit hard. Making a corn dip with trusted local farm but want a green side. Any recipes using frozen broccoli? That broccoli bacon slivered almond old standby- does that do well with frozen broccoli?

My neighbors young mutt attacked and bit me (broke skin) and another person day after getting all his shots. Small 10-15 pound dog. Her vet said it was due to the distemper and other shots. They still are not careful with the dog and I don’t blame the dog. They are lazy sloppy people. Anyway can shots cause this behavior?

We have 20 yo gas dryer - Kenmore elite smart heat quietpak 9. My dog had fleas and I panicked and washed EVERYTHING. The dryer ran non stop for about 10 hours. Maybe overloaded I don’t know. Now it smells smoky.
A service call and ? Heating element? or whatever could run 250. Then if it’s toast I’ll need another.
Would you try and fix or just bite it and buy new? We are not handy/ I have a credit card and a phone book.

Had extreme nausea first go so restarted taking 12.5 at night (cut 50 in fourths) was awake ALL NIGHT. Is this normal for such a small dose? I plan on staying at this low-dose for at least a week and then maybe going to 25 at night for at least a week and then maybe 12.5 in the morning and 25 at night until I get to the full 50

I’m having some aesthetic work done soon- first some scar revision (subcision) and later a co2 For acne scars.
I’m currently starting to taper up my Nal from 12.5 to 25 to eventually 50mg as prescribed. But for these procedures I will need a pain pill for 2 days and Valium is given for the day of.
I hate to stop the meds it has been a struggle to get started due to nausea and insomnia. If I missed two days and I’m already up at 25 or 50 mg will I have those side effects again or should I just go back to maybe the much smaller dose for a day or two and try to increase? I’ve really struggled with taking this medicine due to nausea, but I did not know I could cut it into fourth until recently.

I got a script for bupropion and Naltrexone -it’s 50mg- oddly it’s the dose that’s covered. I’m cutting in half but I’m so nauseated. Also t impossible to cut into 12.5 it crumbles. Any words of wisdom.

I’m retired and keep my Fc in line but phosphates are over 4k according to Leslie- and the machine only goes to 4k. I don’t wanna mess around with Leslie’s phos free, but I see there is a product called Orenda PR 10000 that can remove huge amounts over a short time. It’s expensive/. Anyone have a glowing endorsement? I mean, I keep my chlorine up, but you know, just in case I have to go out of town unexpectedly for reasons not needed to go into. I would like to keep Phos low.

We are against Woods and I love watching the birds eat so I have a birdfeeder. But we are in a development and everyone keeps their lawns nice and tidy. Our mulch is destroyed because of chipmunks. my husband is very upset with me what to do lol. He knows I love animals and he is sympathetic, but he likes a nice tidy yard because he’s Italian lol

I keep my chlorine in the recommended range and test a lot but my phosphates were over 4k. I used a whole bottle over 2 occasions and got it to 3k. With a level that high how much phosphate remover can I add at a time? I know it gums the cartridge but each time I have to wait for the fog to clear. Can I add double the amount recommended- if I change the filter daily? I want to bring it down just in case I can’t maintain my FC. I’m surrounded by trees.
