So I'm not 18 yet but I am curious on how taxes work in a job, from what I see online 9k to 10k a year gets taken away from a paycheck to pay certain taxes (kinda upsetting to find out 3 to 5 months of work given to taxes making you require overtime just to make that money back.)

But are some taxes not needed for minors or still required either way if it probably doesn't benefit the person? I never really learned it in online school, so technically at age 18 I'll be more clueless and scared of spending if I don't make enough just to pay bills or rent.

So it'll be appreciated if an adult can explain to me on how taxes work, especially in this economy.

So I don't know any communities that follows these questions or experience that happened to me last year, but then I remembered this sub and decided to see if any of you could possibly answer this weird experience if it's some weird "beyond the world" or "supernatural" thing.

So last year in February almost every day when I took a nap, 5 minutes in I would feel something pushing my head and hip down while my brain was still fully aware and awake before stopping a few minutes later, it caused me to panic a bit before. But one time at 5AM when I went back to sleep (or tried) it happened again but this time I felt something walking on my back that felt like 4 small legs, going onto my pillow causing it to dip as I heard the crunch sound before disappearing. That honestly terrified me into thinking could I possibly have some weird supernatural being haunting me.

I don't own any pets so I knew well that wasn't some animal I owned, and I'm 15 so I don't really know much about things when it comes to this. So I'm curious if anyone has ideas from the bible or had related experiences that could possibly tell me what did I experience.

My stepmother shouted at her biological son whose almost 4 and crying, all because my father hung up on her for he couldn't hear her over the cries and she literally shouted "NOW HE WON'T FUCKING TALK TO ME BECAUSE OF YOU" like wtf is her issue? She wanted kids she's blessed with kids then proceed to yell at them cause of crying, complaining how she cant do anything with them around. She had one in 2022, 2023, than another in 2025, not my fault she couldn't use birth control or something bro😭

Now she yells at the kids who didn't ask for this life like what the hell. Started treating me like nothing when she had her own kids after years (I'm the stepdaughter) and she cherished them, now poor kids being treated like they're 8 to 10 suffering what I had to suffer from her.

My stepmother, 2 brothers under 4, and 1YO baby sister going to a 4Y0 birthday party 2 weeks ago and I just found out when my father asked if I was going. Like this woman seriously couldn't even tell me they were going to a birthday party fr. That's how unimportant I am to this woman to not even mention where they're going without "What will she even do there?".

Mind you the family whose hosting the party knows I exist, yeah just imagine they show up without me and question just to get a bullshit answer then the husband seeing me one day asking just to hear "I didn't know about a party? No one told me" and imagine how step mother's image breaks at the lie of "oh she wanted to stay home." Am I really the only one who has a parent like this.
