Unable to verify phone number despite numerous attempts

Unable to verify phone number despite numerous attempts

My phone number is used just for this account. I know about the 2 accounts per phone number per year rule.

Here's what I did:

  • waited 24 and 72 hours
  • tried different numbers from different carriers, from friends, family, acquaintances, and random people
  • wrote phone numbers in different formats like xxx xxx xxx (like in the screenshot), xxxxxxxxx, and +386xxxxxxxx (+386 is the international calling code for Slovenia), (xxx) xxx-xxx,
  • tried from a desktop PC and phone
  • tried with and without a VPN
  • cleared cache and cookies
  • set my location to Slovenia in YouTube and Google accounts
  • used different browsers
  • updated browsers and apps

Regardless, every time I enter a phone number, I always get the same error message:

  • for text message: "There was a problem sending a verification code to [phone number]. Please enter a different phone number."
  • for voice call: "You have recently made too many attempts. Please try again later."

I'm not sure what else to do. Does anyone know the solution to this?

In this state, I cannot upload custom thumbnails and videos longer than 15 minutes, which is frustrating.

I did not have this issue verifying my phone number for the Google account.

Need help getting a new phone

My current phone is Samsung Galaxy A10, and it's time for a new one. I use it mostly for navigation, taking photos and videos (not professionally), and browsing the web. I don't game and am not a power user.

I'm looking for a budget phone (around 150 €) and found a few in my market (Slovenia):

  • Oscal C80 8GB/128GB
  • Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 6GB/128GB
  • Motorola Moto G15 Power 8GB/256GB

All look decent spec-wise (I especially like G15's 6Ah battery), and I cannot decide which one would be the best long-term solution. Which one do you suggest? If you know a better phone, please let me know.

My car (Citroen Xsara 1997 1.4i gas with a manual tranny and 105k km/65k miles) doesn't have AC, and I'm thinking of using this one, but I'm not sure whether my alternator, wiring, fuses, etc., will handle it. Has anyone tried this? How can I check by myself? This is an actual 550W/220V AC with a compressor and refrigerant.

There is contact but no crank. I have to take out the ignition key several times before successfully igniting. What could be causing this issue? The battery is brand new.

The car is a Citroen Xsara 1997 1.4i petrol/gas with cca. 104k km and a manual transmission.
