Am I (28M) over my ex or am I delusional?

It has been 11 months since we broke up. It was my first and only relationship, we were together for a little over 4 years on and off... but the pain of her finally leaving me was excruciating. I did everything I could to get over her, by everything I mean EVERYTHING, but I couldn't help myself thinking about her everyday.

I even tried going to a Thailand trip with my boys to figure my shit out, but that was hopeless too. My feelings for her at that time kind of ruined the entire trip for myself. I wasn't able to have fun. As much as I was with my boys, I wasn't there mentally. I came back, tried talking to her to mend things only to get my heart CRUSHED again.

That pushed me into seeking therapy - in my mind at the time, the only way to figure this out. I think therapy helped me a lot in some ways and no help in others. What I came to realise is that I cannot force myself getting over her. It is not a button that I can just flick on or off. One day I would feel like I am over her and the next day I would be absolutely miserable, thinking that there is genuinely something wrong with me.

Anyway, did 4 months of consistent therapy (still on going), where I had a stupid urge of reaching out to her again only to get my heart absolutely obliterated again for the third time. But this time something flipped inside me. My conversation to myself after that was that I have tried absolutely everything I ever could to win her back, I moved houses, I got my family relationships sorted (Kind of), my business is taking off 🧿, I got therapy and conveyed in the most expressive way possible of what she means to me but even after all that, she didn't want me back. I guess it was finally time for me to let go of her too.

I cannot keep giving everything to a person who doesn't even care or know that I was/am still so deeply in love with. I would like to believe a part of me has moved on, because I know one thing for sure that I will NEVER EVER, ABSOLUTELY NEVER reach out to her ever again, no matter how crushing it is for me. Never in a million years did I ever imagine a life without her, but I guess here we are and such is life.

A silver lining now is that I am somewhat free. I still think about her from time to time - but I am forcing myself to not to yearn for her, and in some sense I am NOT yearning her. I have a friend's wedding coming up in Bali in September, excited for that and got a great trip planned. I am just hoping that I don't ruin this trip either because of what I felt for her.

I am hoping that I can truly find someone who I can call the love of my life... Or maybe that is delusional still. Who Knows?

My friend will propose to his girlfriend with this ring I made!

It’s a simple but a beautiful ring in my opinion… 5ct Elongated Cushion diamond in a tulip basket setting.

I am so excited about this and so glad I can be part of people’s love stories in a small way ❤️

I think these earrings turned out great!

I was really skeptical about the overall design… but some things are better in person than they ever are in pictures and videos.

This is even more true for jewellery with coloured gemstones. The camera can never truly capture the gemstone’s real beauty and life!

Why does this old mine shine better than a modern cut? 😭

I got an opportunity to make this OMC lab grown diamond ring, and gosh did it come out to be perfect! Chose the perfect diamond for the job, the diamond catches the light just so right!

I love OMCs ❤️

28M I am new here! Looking to find a meaningful connection. I am from New Delhi - India

Hello! I have been born and brought up in New Delhi, India. Did my undergrad in Australia now back in my motherland. I am in a great profession, earn decently well and have a great set of friends where I live, but I just feel like something inside me is missing.

Looking for someone who is a kind person, who likes to be goofy! I am interested in playing chess, watching movies, cooking great food, admiring art and love listening to Jazz and R&B.

I believe myself to be a gentleman and a romantic. Just trying to find myself someone who I can genuinely trust.

This custom ring is a labour of love ❤️

This was one of the most fulfilling projects we have worked on. The level of detail on this ring is immense! Let’s break it down one by one:

- Milgrain: there is a combination of micro milgrain and traditional milgrain on every outer edge of the ring.

- Victorian Claw Prongs: Reminiscive of the old Victorian era where gemstones were carefully set in multiple small but strong prongs to ensure proper security. Very art deco.

- The side marquise | round triage: A symbol of strength in delicacy. Like a flower supporting strength.

- Gothic astronomical depictions: THIS IS MY FAVOURITE DETAIL! If you notice carefully, you will see gothic symbols of the sun, moon and starts embossed onto the shank of the ring. We did this specifically as the client’s fiancé’s name is Akaash. Akaash - a Hindi word translates to Sky in English, and the sun moon and starts are a representation of that ❤️

This ring was such a labour of love and thoughtfulness. Kudos to our client who was also very patient and thorough to help us design this beautiful ring for them!

We love working on such projects and executing them to perfection! Here is to many more thoughtful pieces of jewels 🥂

Congratulations to the couple!

Rant about corruption in Indian Customs!!!

Hello Everyone, by now y'all would have known that we run a jewellery business based out of New Delhi, India. Thanks to our patrons, we have been receiving international orders which we obviously have to export out of the country.

Now us being in the "high value" business - our products have to go through Indian customs precious cargo channel for appraisal before the product is actually shipped. A jewellery appraiser which is appointed by the Indian government has the absolute right to out right reject a cargo shipment if deemed "unsatisfactory".

I wanted to highlight this to the community that we are and have always been running an ethical business where everything is done by the book. All paperwork is collected, organised and submitted for verification along with a complete and thorough packing list of all items being shipped. The transaction is recorded and is submitted to the bank against a proper invoice of the items being shipped and is cross verified by the jewellery appraiser.

Despite all of this, despite being absolutely legal in our business workings and doing things by the books diligently, we still have to pay a bribe to the jewellery appraiser to approve our shipment. It is absolutely ridiculous how common it is, from the lowest peons up to the top appraiser, every shipment, every cargo, no matter what it is and from who it is, every single person has to be paid a bribe for things to go smoothly. THIS IS CRIMINAL! And the worst part is that is is widely accepted as a common practice now that has been going on in the country for decades.

People don't understand how difficult it is to run a business in India. The government says it is promoting young businesses to thrive, but clearly the foundation to cultivate business in India is rotten.

I have a shipment which has been ready to be shipped to Saudi Arabia for roughly 3 weeks now. The customs process is so slow and so incapable that a minor outage in a portal for customs clearance has halted all shipments. Is this how the country aims to improve its balance of payments?! There is no backup of anything, everyone is lazy and dont want to do any work and all they want is to get paid unjustly for just sitting on their asses and doing fuck all. There is absolutely no timeline for resolution. All one has to do is sit and wait...

Sit and wait and reassure your customer in Saudi Arabia that your jewellery which you have paid full money for in a foreign country will come to you. When? I can't guarantee that, but it will... Disgusting. It ruins my reputation and the reputation of India as a business. How will a consumer gain confidence in doing business with Indians?!

I am still privileged enough to "pay the bribes" and get things going at least. At least so that my commitment to the end consumer is on track. But what about other people, what about people in different areas of business and life. If corruption is so open and prevalent here, what about the rest of areas where I dont even know about?!

I think I am losing track of this rant now. All I wanted to say was that this is extremely frustrating, especially when I am doing everything by the book.

If you have experiences any similar situation or know any resolution to this, please put it down on the comments!

My Experience with A.N. JAIN!

I work in finance, live in New York and I recently got engaged with a 5ct Natural diamond Oval Ring. Now me being an office girl, who gets to travel a lot got extremely nervous when I learned how much the ring costs!! I was always cautious about it and never got comfortable carrying so much value with me constantly.

Surfing through reddit, I heard a lot of talk about this Indian brand A.N. JAIN who work with a lot of lab diamond engagement rings and got curious. I decided to jump the gun and got in touch with them via their Instagram page. I had never bought anything from abroad, let alone jewellery so safe to say that I was quite nervous and skeptical.

But, honestly I think it was one of the best decisions I made. Those guys at A.N. JAIN were extremely professional and quite knowledgeable. I wanted an exact replica of my natural ring, and they found me a lab diamond which matched the original specs of my existing diamond! Not only that, they thoroughly studied my existing setting and made a replica of it, even matching the hidden halo with coloured gemstones. I was impressed when they did that! They shared everything with me, constantly keeping me in loop in terms of where they were in production. The packaging was great too!

All in all, they made the ring in about 10 days and shipped it, and it only took like 3 days for it to get to me from all the way from India. The pricing was a big highlight for me too, I had a specific budget in mind and they stuck to it.

I can't recommend them highly enough! A.N. JAIN if you are seeing this, thank you so much! Now I can wear my exact engagement ring with big peace of mind knowing that my natural diamond is safe in a vault somewhere! Can't wait to get some other things from them now, will share soon! Stay tuned!

Crushed Ice Radiants are my favourite!

Hello everyone! Been a while since I shared something new! This was a bespoke commission where our client really wanted a crushed Ice diamond!

And what better diamond than a radiant cut diamond to delivery this?! Radiants are inherently cut specifically for the crushed ice look! All other diamond shapes are modified to appear crushed ice.

What do you think?

Love for Old Mine Cut!

We got a commission for this old mine cut cushion diamond ring! This is a 4.34ct diamond on yellow gold band. Interestingly, the customer wanted the band to be 3mm thick. What do you think? Does the thick band work?

Do you see what is wrong with this pair? 😭

I got these made for a customer. The earrings came to me only to see that one of the stones is not okay… I am going to tell the customer it didn’t come out right, pray for me 🙏🏽😭

Art Deco

Alright, time to bring some heavy hitters. Everyone does rings, earrings and bracelets, this is just the surface of what is actually possible with lab grown diamonds.

This is the outcome when a client wants something truly unique and is not shy to design something with us which can be truly recognisable.

Thoughts? Would you wear such “high” jewellery concepts with lab grown diamonds?

I need help!

I don’t want to just keep sharing jewellery I made on this subReddit, I wanted to share jewellery insights, trends and aesthetics…

I need your help! Who can help me grow this community? What sort of discussions does this community want? How can I make sure that this subReddit becomes and remain credible?

I heard y’all! Made them in white gold too now!

Wow, in the last post so many people said that white gold will be so good! No hate to yellow gold though, but I was convinced enough to make the same pair in white too now! Yippee!! Thoughts?

Hello everyone! I made this pair of 2ct Each Lab Diamond earring studs with removable diamond halos for my inventory... I got them made in natural 18K Yellow Gold, but now I am wondering if these will look better in white gold instead? What do you guys think?

Hello everyone! I am desparate to find someone who can help me make these rings! I have scoured the county to find someone to make these (especially cutting these stones to calibration) but have failed. I know that these rings are only possible to make in Thailand. If anyone can help me find a connect or can directly help me out here, I will be very grateful!
