A work in progress demo of one level of the upcoming shooter C.E.T.A.S. (Cybernetically Enhanced Tactical Aquatic Systems) from Monochrome Productions came out today after it won first place at the Silly Venture Summer Edition 2026 party. . I picked up a Powkiddy RGB20sx about a year ago. It's great for classic shooters because it has a 1:1 4" screen that lends itself to tate style classic shmups. It also works great with all the classic 4:3 consoles and computers (up to PS1, it will do dreamcast and PSP but it kills the battery and some games have issues). My main system is a pc for gaming, but the handheld is great for pick up and play. I recently ordered a Anerbic RG Cube which has a similar 1:1 screen but can play PS2 and Gamecube. It took me a week to decide what would be a good upgrade. I almost picked up a Magic x One 35 because it has a tate mode feature and two d-pads but decided against it because the screen is small and it doesn't have 2 analog controllers. I was wondering if any other shmup fans had a handheld and what you might be using?

Usually Dave Jr's musical output since leaving Megadeth hasn't been the greatest, but he is a member of Metal Church and they sound pretty good live. I thought I would post something positive.

So I want to upgrade from my rgb20sx. It's a great handheld but its not ideal for psp and it can do Dreamcast in performance mode using dark os but it drains the battery quicker. I want to spend around 100 to 150. The game mt ex8 ($130) is nice power wise (can do GameCube) but I read too much about the ergonomics being bad to take a chance which is too bad because otherwise it seems a perfect fit for me and my budget. The slide which is $140 can do GameCube but again I don't think I'll like the ergonomics.. so I'm going to accept that GameCube emulation is not gonna happen at this price point but can the air x play all Dreamcast and psp? If I'm going to upgrade then I want a plug and play Dreamcast/psp/n64 and below experience. Also does anyone know if the air x can do pc98 and dosbox games? Do you know of any other handhelds I should consider in my price range? My plan is to order the air x on Friday with a case and install gamma OS lite as soon as I get it. Any advice or recommendations are appreciated.

So I have a powkiddy rgb20sx. I love the powkiddy and it's great for 8/16 bit plus saturn, most arcade and ps1. Dreamcast and n64 is not always perfect. I was thinking an air x might be a good buy for me because I'm hoping it will open up all Dreamcast games and psp and hopefully run more advanced arcade games. My powkiddy can do jaguar Amiga etc but it does drain the battery much faster with more demanding systems. I want the air x so I can use the higher end systems for longer and more reliably but am I right in thinking I may be able to run some GameCube?

I guess what I am asking is will itbe enough of an upgrade to make purchasing it worthwhile?

Is Winuae or Copperline the most accurate emulator. I read copperline is built from the ground up to be cycle accurate and WinUae is only partially as accurate? I use Winuae and sometimes there are little things I notice that are off but that could be a system configuration issue.

I just upgraded from Ark OS to DarkOS on my Powkiddy rgb20sx (same screen/chipset as rgb30) and it's a like a new handheld. I got to keep all my roms but now the emulators are better and updated it's really worth it if you are thinking about it. Atari Jaguar now has BigPemu so I can finally play Jag games and everything is just better. I thought I would tell the world DarkOS is the ultimate upgrade and it's so simple that you basically just make everything better by switching.

what happened? Is there a general consensus or was it covered in one of the books what happens at the end of the season? Did they both go through the stones because it kinda looks that way. When they show them leaving at the train station that is them leaving before they go through the stones right? I need help can someone fill me in? I can't wait until September!!

so I picked up sky force anniversary awhile ago and didn't really play it much until last weekend and now I'm completely addicted. It is newer but it has like a retro chip style soundtrack that brings to mind 90's era Amiga/x68000/arcade music and its not a bullet hell it's more like an old school shooter but its pretty cool the way you upgrade your ship and its fun to pick up and play. Anyone else play this one and is there anything else kinda like this I should look into?

So I pickedc up R-type dimensions and finally started to play it. Obviously it's a remake and I feel like so far I'm not blown away by the visuals but it seems like a good remake to me. I wasn't expecting it to be that great because I keep reading that people are not happy with it and there latency or something? I don't know if maybe I haven't played it enough to get what the complaint is but the first level is r-type III to me, I use the same skills to get through it, and I'm using a wired Xbox style controller and I notice no problems what so ever. I'm almost afraid to ask because I'm enjoying it almost like a new game because it's been awhile since I played Rtype III for more than 5 minutes. Please can someone fill me in or have the problems been addressed and I got my copy late enough so it doesn't matter?

Excuse me if this is a stupid question. I just finished the last episode and I had no idea it was the FINAL episode, so it came as a shock. Euphoria is my fav show and I wanted to watch it fresh, so I never visited the subreddit until the end of the seasons. My quesiton is do you think he gave her the pills not knowing for sure she would OD and gave her the money as well so she could buy more drugs if she got addicted? If he gave her a bottle of pills and one was a "hot" pill with OD levels of Fent in it than there is no point in giving away all that money. Thanks

Long time Atari fan (my first computer was an Atari 400 when I was a 10) and I really love the way Atari has been going the last few years with their modern and retro offerings. I picked up Bubsy 4d (the pc version) 3 days ago. I admit my fav genre is shmups, fps and sometimes rpg, but I do love 3d platform games like the Bandicoots and Mario Galaxy's but they have to be really good to hold my interest. Never played Bubsy 3d BITD but from what I hear i didn't miss much. Anyway I absolutely love Bubsy 4d. The controls and camera are really well done which is everything in a game like this. It took me about 45 minutes to really master all the moves but once I did I am having a lot of fun with this game. It's well worth getting and the pc version looks and plays great (I'm using a Xbox controller) Anyone else playing this yet?

So I noticed the last couple days when I try to download the audio files from a video when I press download on most videos the only option is video at 360p, no way to download opus or mp3 audio. A few videos still seem to work but the majority do not. I just downloaded the latest version to see if mine was outdated and I encountered the same problem. Anyone know what is going on?

I am using Retroarch with my handheld and while on my pc when emulate Amiga with WinUAE I set up all the floppies in a different drive and don't think about it, I'm sure not sure how to use multiple disc games with Retroarch on my handheld. Since I don't see a Disc option what I am I missing, what to do i do to switch discs for multi disc games. Also does anyone know what I have to install to get WHLOAD to work properly? One other thing is there a batch file I can set up like I can with PS1 emulation so I can just automatically have it recognize multiple adf's?

after dropping/destroying my tablet/e-reader I finally got a monitor that lets me catch up on comic/graphic novel reading... and so I just today finished the 1-6 issues of the Star Trek The Last Starship series. I don't want to give too much away about the series because the premise is really cool but it takes place during the burn like literally it starts right before the burn but it also brings Captain Kirk into that timeline. It sounds far fetched but it kind of works the way they do it which I will let you find about for yourself, so as not to spoil anything. The dynamic of Kirk existing in that timeline is really cool. I know that Star Trek comic books aren't usually considered canon, but with that said does anyone know if the movie with the same name that is coming out is likely to follow this same basic premise?

I hope so, because if they find the right person to play the role of Kirk and bring this to the screen with some good writing it could be the movie series that brings the fans together and moves ahead at the same time. Like combining the new with the old in a way I think could appeal to everyone.

Someone posted the lineups for Louder than Life festival and the first day is Iron Maiden and Megadeth w/ Anthrax, Alice Cooper, Suicidal Tend and METAL CHURCH! I was thinking will Ellefson try to talk to Dave since both bands will be sharing the same stage? The other thing that caught my eye is maybe I'm wrong but it's a line up of classic metal bands and then Alice Cooper??? it seems like Alice Cooper is the band that doesn't seem to fit in with the others
