My guage is way off

My guage is way off

22st and 40 rows got me 3x3", not the 4x4" called for. This is for a hat so if the guage is off its not a super big deal, but an inch is a lot. Should I go up a needle size or let Jesus take the wheel and see what happens? For reference im using us size 5 and malabrigo ultimate sock yarn.

Got my first kit! Which row do I start on?

This will be my first latchhook since 1979 and im really excited about it! The instructions are sparse and im not sure what row to start on. Is it the top most row with the blue stitching or the row below that?

Anyone have experience with Sabai sleeper sofas?

Im furnishing my she shed room soon and need a sleeper sofa. Has anyone bought a Sabi sofa? I want to avoid the bar in the back situation and this seems to fit the bill.

In the 90's we had all the denim

We recently moved and as I was going through boxes today I found our engagement picture taken in fall 95'. We had our 29th anniversary in June .

Where can I get kits that look like modern art?

I did latchhook when I was a girl in the 70's and like to get back into it. I'd really like to make some pieces to hang on my big empty white walls, but I can't find any kits that are abstract/geometric. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

This is what autism looks like at my house today

The incidents of my 22 year old son acting out with aggression have been reduced significantly over the last two years, but boy, when he melts down he really goes for it. Im alone with him till Saturday, we have no respite care and any friends that could help are working or on vacation. My best friend who has always been my rock died in May. My folks are near by, but my mom thinks he has autism because I had him vaccinated so I dont ask them for help.

Ill be fine, I just needed to share this with people who will understand and not judge.

I need a new routine!

My mom got me started on the 3 step program when I was 11 and I loyaly used Clinique till covid hit and I just gave up on it. I just turned 53 (!) and need to get my ass in gear, but I have no idea what products I should use now.

My skin has always been extremely, extremely oily so wrinkles and fine lines aren't really an issue, but ive lost firmness.

Ive never used a daily moisturizer outside of the yellow stuff and know I need one, but there are too many and I have analysis paralysis.

My main issue is texture and bumps. I need something that will suck all the crap out of my pores.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Size of art above the bed

Im set on doing a horizontaly oriented picture for above my bed, but im not sure what size to get so that everything feels balanced.

The first pic is what im considering ( but open to suggestions!) and it comes in 30x40 in and 40x60 in. My bed is queen size, the headboard is 51" tall, and the wall is 10 ft tall. Second and 3rd pictures are of my bed and the wall space. So far i have brass wall sconces and orange side tabels. Last picture is the dreser on the opposite wall to show what the art will be balancing against.

Im sure there's some math i can math to figure it out, but ive received so much good advice on this sub I decided to turn to you.

I finally found the right rug

I've posted twice before about finding the right rug for my new upholstery. The previous contenders were universally hated and I was going to sit on it for a while then this popped up. I know its not for everyone, but it ties everything together and im happy. Thanks to everyone for their ideas!

Which rug?

I posted last week about finding a rug that compliments my new furniture better than the graphic black and white one i have now, see 4th pic. I received tons of good feedback and have narrowed down my rug selection to these three. What do y'all think?

Rug help!

Just got my new custom cushins for my new to me mcm living room set. I like mixing patterns and textures, and was hoping the rug would work, but it's not vibing. My husband thinks it looks great, but the upholstery was over budget and I think he doesn't want to spend on a new rug. You can see him in the 4th picture with his sock rings after a long work day telling me a professional designer would pick this out. So i need ideas and suggestions on what i should look for. My style is colorful, fun, and a little funky, but i think this is too much.
