May 2025-July 2025

Here’s the Steam DB graph from when they removed Solo queues the first time in late May 2025. The bottom point on this graph is 5099 people in July 2025, when they finally added it back.

Dragonfire Targeting Still Bugged

I never figured out how to make a proper bug report so I'm posting this here again. As with my post three months ago, Dragonfire Targeting is still bugged. Domesticated Dragons will breathe fire at megabeasts and some HFS entities, however, they will not breathe fire on say, an invading goblin army. Having spent as long as I did to capture two wild dragons and breed them, this deeply pains me.

Rogue is Fine

Rogue’s class identity literally is just jumping you unawares and dealing lots of damage, and I can see how dying to this might make that feel OP, however, Rogues drawback is not being able to fight head to head. I see a lot of Rogue complaints lately and a lot of “Hide doesn’t belong in Dark and Darker” and just full on disagree. Genuinely, most of ya’ll just need to move slower. How many people dart right past mobs, opening doors and closing them behind them, just to do so and wind up face to face with a rogue that heard you coming. Dying in that situation is your fault, treat every room as if a hide Rogue could be there because they COULD, this is not Apex, stop sprinting through maps unless you’re a barb or maybe fighter.
I do not see how you can remove this skill without removing Rogue’s entire style of play and class identity.

Returning Protoss Questions

Hello! I am a returning Protoss player (although I was never all that good to begin with) and I’m wondering if anyone has any advice for me considering the 8 worker change!
So far I’m enjoying the additional scouting time

HopeSword

I am just in AWE that after months of silence the devs have dropped an update with what sounds like meaningful progress, I’m excited to get home and play after work!
I was traumatized by other early access titles the last couple of years, but I will try and never doubt HalfSword devs again. Thank you guys for your devotion to your fanbase and continuation of this project!

24/7 Arena

We should have 24/7 Arena. Haven’t felt like playing much other than arena this season. Built my kit and every time I happen to log-in it’s not open. People argue that it means the dungeons will have less people, I disagree. I’ve only played maybe 30 hours this wipe due to this and I have 2k

Edit: If opening Arena 24/7 would rob the dungeons of all players, that’s a problem with the dungeons Ironmace needs to solve for the longevity of the game. Otherwise there’s no reason not to believe that equilibrium would be achieved. Since the supply is currently limited, when it is in stock it’s got high demand, causing your dungeons to be empty.

Driving in RUST

I’ve been playing RUST for about 11 years (certified unc), and my favorite thing ever since modular cars came out is running a taxi service. However, over the years driving has become more and more unreliable for my PC. Maybe it’s a specs issue, maybe even a server issue, or is it just.. a game issue?
Do any of you have a good enough PC that, you can drive a fast car across the map at maximum speed without any rubber banding, without the map struggling to load in fast enough to process? I’ve been driving for years but never had that experience so I am wondering if it’s even possible on a decent pop server.

L Medieval Season

I can’t begin to tell you how long I asked for a medieval season, but I felt really disappointed that all we got was a point break map theme-wise. Really was hoping they’d pull a sick castle map out of their asses mid season or something but that was dumb of me.
Anyone else feel this way?

ArcBaby in our Sub

Made a post and had this guy come and try to debate me about how morality in game is = to morality in real life.

Here are some of the highlights:
“Do you seriously expect me to believe that you behave like a piece of shit in a video game, and then transform into a saint once you no longer have the controller or the mouse and keyboard?
No, if you behave like a piece of shit on the video game, you absolutely behave like a piece of shit outside of the video game.”

“It’s actually hilarious that you said that you’re not a liar.
Do you seriously expect me to believe that you’re the only person on earth that never tells a lie?
As for thievery and murder, you’re definitely guilty of those things in an abstract sense.
I know a scumbag when I see one.”

“If from this moment forever onward, you were never to lie again, you indeed would not be a liar.
However, you are going to lie many times in the future. That means you are a liar, and you just lied about not being a liar.“

“I’m not trying to put you on trial.”

Boss Kill Buff

When a boss dies, every player should receive a percentage of health tied to how many percent of damage they dealt to the boss. You might even consider allowing that percentage to “overheal” a player for a portion of time. This buff should be forfeited upon leaving the boss room before it’s dead, stopping players from gaining it by using range from outside the room.
The difficulty of learning and defeating a boss should not be rewarded with unequal footing against someone who has simply waited for you to do the work.

Until this is changed, it will always be less time consuming and more profitable to counter a boss, not learn one. That is all!

I Am Stupid

The whole time that solo/duo Arenas was being talked about as an upcoming feature, I had thought it meant that 1v1 and 2v2 game-modes were going to come out. I was disappointed to learn that it was “queuing by yourself” (which was how it used to work anyways) and not 1v1.

Am I the only one that thought this?

Magic Damage Maxing

Has anyone worked out the optimal combination of Will, Mag Power, MDB, and Add Mag for a build that is strictly magic damage maxing? (I am also building MagPen but that’s not important)
I am preparing an arena kit without a single other stat, any and all advice would be appreciated

I love this game.

I am a survivor of the dark times. I survived over a year without real content, I survived SDF’s “vision”, I survived the Great Solo Extinction.

Three seasons ago I said “Wow, you know, maybe they actually DO care”.
Last season I said, “This is definitely the right direction and if it keeps going like this maybe things will work out great!”

And finally, this season? Baller. I hate questing, and at first I was hesitant to bother seeing what the new system was. It’s loads easier! I barely even had to try and got my common quality items, W IronMace. Questing should be fun and that’s a priority, but in the meantime, they’ve at least made it NOT suck.
Cosmetics? Baller. Inferno? Baller (even though I don’t like ruins/crypts). Ping system? Baller.
I’m having fun like I haven’t had since season 3 or 4, running around as a necrotic imp warlock with Blood Pact.

LOVE this fucking game, Praise Paul!

Switch Your Plan!

If you are paying for an Xfinity Mobile Unlimited line from before April 2026, switch to the new plan! I almost kept paying an extra $10/month for literally nothing (new plans are both Unlimited) without a peep from Xfinity!
Edit: I am paying for only one line, I see with more lines this may vary!

Claymore Sledge Skin

While I love the new event and cosmetics, now, ESPECIALLY with the Oath emote, we (hammer enjoyers) NEED a Sword Sledge skin.
The arguments against it I see are “it’s a sword bro, you can’t translate the movement”, and “but wouldn’t it be confusing cause of other sword skins”.

Both arguments are brain dead, a hefty claymore would translate just fine, in length and movement. The sledge doesn’t account for “handle hits” so the full blade can be used anyways. It is literally just left and right, and up and down. Also, sledge is carried different than spear, and it’s ridiculous to think a heavy boi would be carrying any other melee weapon than the two.

Gib sword!!!
