Basically the Cantham talks, were a series of meetings between Bail Organa, Mon Mothma and maybe some other senators in the Alderaanian embassy on Coruscant shortly after the rise of the Empire where they discussed the formation of an organized resistance against Palpatine’s New Order. In these secret meetings, they hammered out what the military and political structure of what the future Rebel Alliance would look like.

Grand Moff in not a naval rank, nor is it the highest rank in the Imperial Navy.

I always see plenty of Mara Jades and plenty of Thrawns but never Talon Karrde. Heck he’s so cool that Zahn decided to model as him for the SWCCG.

And it’s not like complaining as him would be that hard. You don’t have to paint yourself blue.

The Scoundrel’s Cantina, a Star Wars YouTuber found this in a “Rebels Recon” episode which was a series they used to release a decade ago when Star Wars Rebels was airing.

It’s just astonishing how determined they were to destroy Luke’s character and prevent him from having any type of legacy. And yet they claim that no one hates Star Wars more that Star Wars fans.

That’s like saying the US military would become less effective if an FBI division chief were to kill themself.

Saw that Stackpole's seconf favorite SW film is Rogue One so I did some digging.

They're both pretty major Bantam-era 1990s Expanded Universe writers, but they're associated with different corners of the EU.

Kevin J. Anderson is best known for The Jedi Academy Trilogy:Jedi Search, Dark Apprentice, Champions of the Force. This is probably his signature Star Wars work, it establishes Luke's Jedi Academy on Yavin IV

Michael A. Stackpole is known for the highly acclaimed X-Wing novels like X-Wing: Rogue Squadron, Wedge's Gamble, The Krytos Trap, and The Bacta War. He also did the standalone I,JEdi.

All three serve jn the Rebel Alliance/NR’s executive cabinet and all three fill a similar political counterweight role. Pamlo and Jebel are cautious, pragmatic politicians who push back against Mon Mothma and the more openly rebellious members of the Alliance, often emphasizing political consequences and institutional concerns. Fey’lya plays a comparable role in the Thrawn Trilogy wherehe challenges the military leadership and other New Republic officials,

The big difference is that Fey’lya is much more ambitious and selfserving. Pamlo and Jebel’s caution generally comes from genuine concern about the risks facing the Rebellion, whereas Fey’lya frequently turns legitimate political concerns into opportunities to increase his own influence.

And if he is to be the head of the ISB nuCanon why didn’t they simply retcon his rank as well?

This boy genius invents small target drones that have been doctored to produce a wildly exaggerated scanner-image of themselves in order to distract the Imperial fleet so the rescue force can land on the planet.

There were a lot of concepts that were ultimately cut from Andor. If you could bring back just one, which would it be?

For me, it'd easily be #8. I love the COMPOR logo. It looks distinctly fascist and fits the Empire perfectly without just being another variation of the Imperial Crest.
