Please help my kalanchoe

This was my first ever plant so she's precious to me. It was doing great and was flowering constantly but then had a bad thrips infestation. It took a while but I managed to get rid of them but it got her really stressed. For some time she didn't even have one leaf. But she started to push new leaves and I was really happy but then this happened.

The part in the photo was black today. I don't think it was like this a week ago but I'm not sure when it started. I scratched the black part and it looks like this. Should I cut? Is she dying? I checked her roots and they are fine. How can the stem rot like that. My city is really moist could that be a reason?

Overall what should I do? I'm scared of cutting her please help.

It's in front of a large southeast looking window. I water her on average once in ten days.

Rot or corking

She's like this for quite some time. I'm not sure if it's rot. It doesn't feel like it. It's not mushy or soft. I had rotten kalanchoes before and she doesn't look or feel like them. But I don't understand why the lower stem discoloured and a bit shriveled.

It's in front of a big southeast looking window and also gets light from the growth light I installed for my cactus.

I water her when the soil is dry which happens two-four times a month.

She had a bad thrips infestation but I managed to get rid of them. All of my other kalanchoes started to thrive and she's also making new leaves but her stem is concerning me.

Also four of her bottom stems' lower parts dried and started to bend downwards so I had to cut them. When I checked the inside of the stem from where I cut it's green so I'm not sure if it's because of the weight she can't carry or something else.

I also scratched the bottom stem a bit and under the brown part was green. The next day it darkened a bit but still not black or soft or squishy.

(I know some of you will say the soil is too organic. I know. I've been told that countless times but it's the best I could find in my city and also I use it for my cactuses too and they are fine and growing good so it's not completely bad.)

Will she recover?

I've been told she'll need more light so I put her from a big southeast looking window to my southwest balcony. She got direct light there. She got brown a bit but I just thought it was normal sun stress. Now two weeks later she's like this her leaves outer parts are crispy and she lost some leaves. I put her back indoors now. Was the change too fast? Will she be alright?

Kalanchoe cutting advice

Should I cut the stem till the leaves. I know that part is going to die since it doesn't have growth points but does it hold any energy and would it help even just a bit or would harm it?

I never managed to propagate kalanchoe so any advice is welcome.

Blooming and cactus ID

I know she's a Mammillaria but what species? She has a dichotomous one maybe that can help.

u/Infamous_Land3408 — 1 month ago

Is this enough?

My mother despite my objections put these succulents in here. It's a southwest looking balcony but I don't think this spot ever gets hit directly by the sun. The balcony door is also always open so it filters the sun even more. I need someone else's opinion

Alecosia help

I made a post two days ago about her drooping leaves. Her oldest leaf was also yellowing and its stem was shrinking. I've read here that it's normal and they lose older leaves for the new leaves. But yesterday yellowing started to happen at her second oldest leaf too. Should I be worried or is it just for the pup she's having?

My older post: https://www.reddit.com/r/houseplants/s/QGG1Zq07cq

I saw a spider mite on her at the store so the seller sprayed it with insecticide and now she's quarantined in my southwest balcony and is getting direct light in the morning and afternoon. I bought her on sunday then repotted her on Tuesday and watered her on Thursday.(The soil I used was moist so I waited a bit)

Need help

These two would always bend to the sun but today the yellow one took it extreme I don't think its base is rotten but I'm not sure if this is normal. My other bunny ears also bend but not as much as this guy. She's in front of a big southeast window and also gets 8-10 hours of 50 watt growth light which is above her. Her new growth look roundish so I don't think she's etiolated. I water her once or twice a month. The base wasn't feeling mushy.

Elephant ear drooping leaves

I bought this four days ago. I normally put my plants in front of a big southeast looking window. They also get 8-10 hours of growth light. But I saw a spider mite in this plant. The seller sprayed it with insecticide and I never saw a bug again but I was a bit concerned so I put her into our southwest looking balcony. But her leaves started to droop. I was afraid of the stems breaking so I used these things from my orchid. I don't know how well you can see in the photos but one of the stems is also a bit discoloured and shriveled a bit. What should I do? Do I need to worry?

I watered her after I took this pictures. Her soil was kinda dry.

It was completely rootbound when I bought it so I repot it two days ago. Could it just be shock from repot?

She also has a pup(?) coming out so I think she's happy.

I've read here that it generally indicates underwatering or low light but I'm not sure if that's the case.

My father also smokes in the balcony but since the windows open I'm not sure if it affects it.

What does she need? Less water? More light?

Her bottom leaves are slowly dying. I'm not sure if she's growing or not. She looks the same to me. She's in front of a big southeast looking window and gets morning light. I also have a 50 watt growth light which is open for 8-10 hours a day. I don't water her with a schedule and the watering frequency can vary from 1 week to 3 weeks. Is the bottom leaves dying normal? I heard some succulents self cannibalize. Is this it or should I do something?

Bromeliad help

I don't know much about bromeliads. I know they die after flowering but have pups. She's done flowering and the stalk was slowly losing colour. Dying? I was thinking about cutting it but then yesterday I saw this (a new part that looks alive) . I wasn't sure what to do so I decided to wait. Today I looked again and I'm pretty sure it went up. What's going on?

She's pupping too (at least two for now). Do I need to separate them from the mother plant or can I just leave them be? Since I'm pretty sure noone separates them in their natural habitat. They are growing inside her so I'm not sure while the mother plant is dying will they be ok?

Kalanchoe help

She had a bad thrips infestation but I got rid of them (I hope) the bottom green part died 1,5 months ago but the wooden part was hard so I left her alone. She has new white roots too so I thought it was just from the stress from the thrips and the neem oil I used. But now the green part between the first and the second growth point started to get black. I scratched it to see what was going on. Should I cut?

Peperomia ferreyrae help

First photo is when I bought her five months ago. Rest is from today. She's etiolated I know. Now I'm giving her much more light (southeast looking window+ 8-10 hours of growth light. It's enough for my cactuses so I hope it's enough). The problem is I had mealybugs in one of the succulents near her so I used alcohol on her just like all of my other succulents. A month passed and my other succulents are ok but she's struggling. Her leaves are drooping and some of them are dying. Her new growth is fine though. Until today I didn't look at her previous form so now I feel guilty that I didn't give her good care. Overall what should and can I do to make her happy?

Also you can see that her colour got less green. I'm curious is it because of the alcohol damage or lack of light?

Cactus help

First photo is how it used to look like. Rest are from now.

She had a really bad mealybugs infestation. Her top was completely white and some of the bugs were the size of a nail. I feel really stupid cause I thought the white part was her natural look and didn't look too much. I've been told to use isopropyl alcohol but I couldn't find any in my city. I didn't want to wait for internet delivery so I used cologne. It worked and killed the bugs but now nearly a month later she's slowly dying. I lost another cactus (same story except the bugs somehow dug a hole in her so she was worse.) so I panicked a bit. I thought maybe the cologne was still on her skin (the dead one was still smelled cologne) so I washed her completely two days ago. Is it too late?

I'm so happy

The first two are from Monday. The other three is from today.

I've dealt with thrips, mealybugs and spidermites infestations in the past month. But this angel is making me think that all of that is worth it. She opens her flower at morning and closes it at afternoon. For six days now. She's so cute and pretty and makes me so happy.
