Abandoned warehouse

So far, the largest location I've been to. Entry was relatively easy, though getting out was a bit more of a hassle. Each floor appeared more-or-less the same, with little differences in layout, lighting, and miscellaneous structures inside.

It's previous uses was for entertainment, more specifically as a haunted house, a paintball arena, and a K-9 training facility. Several industrial structures and mechanical elements from its 1931 freight operations remain intact. Unfortunately, it appears many of them have been tampered with or removed, probably for a profit. Lift shafts, switchboards, vaults, and pipes are all that remain here.

Within the ruins

Revisited the incinerator and actually went inside the furnaces. An attempt was made to climb one of the smokestacks, but probably due deaths via falling in the 90's, the bottom rungs have been removed.

John Kiriakou is a psyop

Sort of. Was he a whistleblower? Yes. Did he serve jail time for it? Also yes. But if he truly 'exposed' valuable secrets about the CIA and its operations, the man would have been dead 4 years ago, or given a lengthier sentence.

Nowadays you can see him on podcasts talking about conspiracies regarding other people such as Benjamin Netanyahu and Jeffrey Epstein. People forget that said podcasts are still owned under companies/post their content on platforms owned by corporations.

He isn't telling anyone anything the CIA doesn't want you to know, and he's doing a very good job at it. There is no such thing as a 'former CIA officer,' but there is such thing as a dead man.

Churches, chapels, temples

Does anyone have recommendations for abandoned religious structures here in the DFW area? There is a clear imbalanced ratio for the presence of abandoned barns/offices/factories as opposed to that of churches, chapels and temples here. I only know of the Can Tai Tay Ninh Temple of Texas, but I wouldn't really consider that place "abandoned" as they now have their own customer service # and hours of operation.

Group of (supposedly) abandoned buildings in Crowley; anyone been?

Has anyone been to this spot? The structures are all within a one-mile radius, and have no addresses (except for the one marked by the red pin). The barns look...promising, but as for the mansion at the bottom, I'm not sure. If anybody has gone to any of these structures, please let me know; I'd like some insight before I go.

Ridgmar after hours

Snuck in through the back to explore this mall I used to frequent when I was a kid. Once again, mall BOH corridors don't disappoint; they're nice pipe/circuit labyrinths quiet enough to ease the mind, but eerie enough to unsettle the nerves; I was looking back every step I took looking out for security. Saw something I shouldn't have seen in one of the stores, though; the last picture attached.

Abandoned Carpet Mill Outlet

...and a house with a garage and shed. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any entrances for the home itself, as they were all boarded up by wood and nails. The mill itself was spacious, with only one accessible entrance on the side; had to pass through a small thicket to enter.

Overall good location, but be wary of the nearby gas station's camera facing the outlet.

Has anyone else been?

Has anyone else been to the old Carpet Mill/abandoned house in Southlake lately? I'm planning on going there later tonight and I don't want any trouble with residents/police..

Echo Lake Incinerator

Isolated area near some railroad tracks and a farm. Upon entry to its front, I was greeted by a giant hole with rubble at the bottom and nothing but my will stopping me from jumping in. Not a very good impression; they should add a small fence with a complimentary coffee station with a 2025 keurig.

The inside of each furnace was bigger than I thought. The rooftop is accessible by a ladder somewhere in the second floor. As for the smokestacks, it's a wonder how anyone could have gotten the courage to climb up them and take a picture from their tops at all.

Old Argo Concrete Plant

If it weren't for the police sirens in the distance, I probably would have stayed longer.

Little to no security around the perimeter, but the distance between the back entrance and the plant itself was pretty large; paranoia of unseen cameras and being caught by locals/honeless crept in on my way towards the structure.

There was a lot to see, and lots of ladders to climb. My legs grew sore, but the view at the top was worth it. There were a lot of floors with many areas to explore, and lots of old equipment covered in dust and trash to examine. I was able to reach the top, but unfortunately, the scrap metal roof's instability and small surface area discouraged me from proceeding any higher, so no pictures were taken. All I can say is you could have clearly seen the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge.

Recently abandoned building near my campus

I pass this building every day on my way to lecture and would have never expected the doors to be unlocked, but here we are. Nothing too special on the second floor, but the numerous mattresses on the floors and fresh roll of toilet paper makes me assume this was a recently-used squatter's den. Maybe I came in before they came back. It was obvious that most of its walls have been taken down due to random toilet and sink combination situated on the first floor.

Vista Ridge after-hours

Visited the Vista Ridge mall today with some friends after-hours. It's always interesting seeing spaces that used to be so populated now be so desolated. This place used to be a hit in the 90's (visit https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Vista for more details; its downfall was undeserved in my opinion). What saddened me the most was the abandoned Great American Cookie booth. Nothing but pipes and empty vending machines behind the Staff Only doors.

Abandoned bank vault

No need to leak the address as I already know where it is. My main question is how did anyone get in there? If anyone had gotten into the abandoned bank vault in Dallas, got any tips?

Disappointed with service

For a place called Butler Place (also known as 'The Butler Projects'), this location had zero services given upon my arrival. Just old buildings with overgrown gardens, abandoned community establishments such as a library and school, and an endearing sun-washed mural that was clearly hand-painted by members of the community, representing pride for the complex and 'sisterhood,' as written on the wall.

Other than that, okay spot.

Ellis Pecan Factory; Wanting to Visit

Has anyone here ever been to the old Ellis Pecan factory? I'm planning on going there at some point, preferably during night hours, but I'm not too sure about police presence around there, and ways of entry. If anyone has been able to get inside, please let me know how you did and when. Additional tips are appreciated.

Abandoned byre; other structures nearby

Found this place's coordinates from another urbex group member. It was located behind some barbed wire fencing less than a mile past a railroad track. Luckily, I was able to find a plain horizontal fence with only a half-hazardly placed lock sealing it off. Though the place itself was large and relatively untouched with little graffiti, I wouldn't recommend coming, as this structure's original purpose was to house cattle. If you're okay with the smell and stepping-on of cow feces, go ahead.

Abandoned grain silos of I-35

Visited with a friend a few weeks back. It was said to be demolished in 2025, but as of this year, there have been no indications of progress with the project.

It was kind of difficult to get into, as most of the entrances near ground-level have been completely sealed off, one exception being a small dug up hole under a gate walled off by plants. We went on a stormy night, so it was completely flooded.

Unfortunately, no efforts were made to reach the top due to rusty and broken stairwells, instability, and time. I would have loved to see the view from the top, though.
