My new ID still hasn’t arrived. I have my medical card. What do I do?

I use it medically for epilepsy, insomnia, POTS, so I can’t really go a day or even a week without it because I take it on a specific regiment with my other prescribed medications.

The issue is, I renewed my drivers license/ID last week, they punched my card and gave me an interim paper for driving. It expires today, 8/18. I am out of edibles and things I need right now.

What do I do?

[Website] I have no idea what website to use for my art business

I wanted to have a website that blended a portfolio and the ability to buy prints/originals in the case I went to an art comic-con or any type of art festival gathering. I have been (trying) to use Shopify. It’s not working too well, I just liked that it came with a free POS system that’s portable.

What do I do? I am so lost.

Did I interpret this correctly??

I had a choice between two jobs. I asked “what is the energy of each job”
Job 1. The Star
Job 2. The Queen of Wands

I interpreted it as one job giving me more creative time to myself, a more long term opportunity, and job 2 as very fast paced with lots of opportunities but you would have to show initiative.

I’m lonely and just really wish I had a loving partner in my life

I want a relationship so bad, a good one, a healthy one with someone who cuddles me and adores me and loves me with everything.

nothing has worked, I’m pretty afraid of dating due to trauma being assaulted being abused, I’m working through it, but I just sit there and fantasize about waking up to someone in the morning who kisses me and cuddles me and loves on me.

it’s painful, I just want someone to love me.

I have weakness in my arm from Nexplanon.

I had my nexplanon replaced 3 years ago, and I’m due to change it again, except unlike the first time I got it, this time I’ve had something weird that keeps happening.

Whenever I sleep on the side that my nexplanon is on, my left side, I get pain in my arm.

Yesterday, I was gardening and doing some weed whacking and literally my arm was in severe pain, it got so weak I could barely move it, and I couldn’t even open a jar of pickles because my hands were cramping and shaking, severely shaking.

The obgyn who replaced it sucked, and I honestly think she put it deep into my arm or damaged my nerves or something when she put it in. I’m supposed to be getting it replaced this month with planned parenthood who has always done a good job.

I am really concerned, though. It’s the next day and I still have pain and soreness in my arm.

I’d like to get it replaced again since it’s been working wonderfully for me and I’ve had it a total of seven years, but if there’s damage to my muscle or nerves I may have to get it removed and I won’t know until I see an obgyn or go to planned parenthood.

Has anyone else experienced this?
I’m honestly really worried.

What’s a good label maker for products?

I really need help finding a good thermal panel printer for my labels on my products. I’m using them to label jars, bags for cookies, etc. I’m brand new to label making so I’m trying to find one that is compatible with Adobe as that is the program I use for my labels right now unless someone has a better suggestion I’m open to it!

Thank you so much!❤️

How do I cope with and heal from my ex withholding actual necessities from me?

He was extremely emotionally abusive throughout the entire time we knew each other and physically abusive towards the end of things. When we were supposed to move in together, I had sent him packages of my clothes, items, etc. that I would need to live there. He then kept those items for eight months before returning them and only returned them after I had an actual private investigator show up to his house to serve him court papers.

He withheld a lot of really valuable sentimental and personal items from me. It was in the middle of the winter time and he didn’t even send me my winter clothes back. Specifically he held a lot of my clothes hostage. When I finally got them back eight months later, I wasn’t even relieved anymore I was so exhausted and tired it didn’t even feel worth what it cost me, except it was, because I could never replace those items and I knew that.
That is the context.

Now, after it’s all over, I have been left with a constant fear of not having enough clothing. I keep impulsively buying more clothes, like I just don’t have enough. It’s not something I’m doing intentionally it’s like I’m constantly afraid I don’t have enough clothes.

What do I do?? How do I mentally overcome this???

how do you actually heal from being stalked

the stalking I went through was next level because the person who stalked me faked an entire identity in order to live with me. yes, they literally were in my house, living with me. the only way I was able to get them away from me was by (almost) beating the shit out of them with my bare hands when I found out. I didn’t find out until after they were kicked out the extent of the stalking and how they had been silently watching and studying me for around an entire year. they had essentially been studying me from afar in order to get access to me, my home, and my life. and they actually did for a brief time because I had no idea they had been stalking me/obsessed with me, secretly and severely obsessed. that’s the short story.

I cannot understate the emotional and mental damage it caused. everyday I am still afraid they will find me again (they were a very vengeful stalker-type and particularly ruthless and unrelenting.)

I just live in fear everyday. I don’t feel safe at home anymore even though I’ve done everything I can to protect myself. I feel like no matter what I do to protect myself they will find me and find a way to hurt me and because of this I live in constant fear. I don’t trust people anymore and I have become extremely private. I struggle to be okay with the fact that I didn’t know they were stalking me prior and that I actually let that dangerous of a person into my life.

therapy is a cop-out answer for me right now, it’s only been somewhat helpful for me. I’m on medications which help but only somewhat.

it just sucks, I’ll be taking a shower and randomly think “what if they find me or my loved ones etc”

Which job do I choose?

I work as an HHA, it is thankless work and when you get hired at agencies, agencies can be really shitty. unfortunately where I live it is the only work that is readily available and hires right away (job market is just trash right now and people in small towns like myself suffering from the effects)

In HHA work, it isn’t like a regular job where you have pre-required hours you’ll be there. You are able to effectively say “I want to work first, second, third shift on xyz days and these are the days I’m not available” which is why I like it as a job.

Now, I currently have the option between staying at my current job, which is starting to become miserable for me. I never wanted to work overnights and they said “well we only need someone for overnights” they essentially hired me to fill the shifts on overnight nobody wanted (because they’re hard shifts, middle of the week and the one day people want off)..I’ve been pushing through but it has wrecked my health, wrecked it. I don’t have time for friends or a social life or anything I want to do, my sleep schedule has become inverted and I’m awake at night during my days off which I don’t like. at the same time I have become attached to my client that I work for and she’s a very wealthy client which is hard to come by in my field.

I have been offered a new position at a different agency, they won’t put me on overnights, I would be working the shifts I want and seem very accommodating, but the downside is you just never know, that’s the issue..some agencies will bait and switch you and then you’ll be forced into floating shifts nobody wants.

I originally wanted to keep both jobs and try and work something out with my current job, but that’s not possible anymore because they’re unwilling to change or accommodate my schedule in any way, and overnights wouldn’t be compatible with this new job if I wanted a regular schedule with day shifts and 40 hour weeks.

At the same time, I don’t want to risk what I already have and end up in a potentially worse position. I don’t want to risk the hours I do have and a client I like just to be stuck in something worse. My current job will give references only if you give a two week notice, but most agencies want you to be able to start right away.

I need someone to help me with this. Can someone help me break this down and figure out which decision would be better? Would there be any work around at my new job, like start one day with a client and then after two weeks go to a full schedule?

I overthink things to a fault, can someone simplify this for me and break it down for me?

Home Instead or Visiting Angels for a workplace?

out of curiosity has anyone here worked for either of these agencies at any point? I know experiences probably vary between locations due to them being franchises but I’m comparing the two, my current job has me working overnights (which I never wanted but they would not accommodate me) and not enough hours..but I have a good client. I am having difficulty deciding.

I had to shoot a raccoon today and I’m pissed and upset

I’ve been trying to trap and catch a sick groundhog for months now with no luck, this morning the raccoon that lives under the porch got into the trap.

I live with my grandmother (crazy old lady btw) and I tried to move the raccoon but he was very aggressive and tried to bite and attack through the cage so there was no way to safely move him.

She called my uncle (who’s an abusive piece of shit and she adores him by the way) and he says “man just fucking drown him” and she laughed about it and says “I don’t care what anyone says he’s the best” I fucking hate this lady so much.

The raccoon hated my grandmother (valid she’s evil as shit) but he listened to me talk to him and was calmer around me. I thought we were gonna release him until my grandmother comes out with a fucking pellet gun and tells me to shoot him or she will and this crazy old fuck is a terrible shot. This poor little raccoon trusted me for real I used to talk to him and I shot him. Of course this lady doesn’t have an actual gun so I had to shoot him twice and he was in pain for a good minute before he died.

The worst part is my grandmother is a whacky old lady and cruel as fuck to animals, and when I dumped his body I put a little flower on him (it’s literally my religion and native belief, btw.) and she laughed at me.

I’m fucking pissed off man. I really liked that raccoon he didn’t bother anyone or do shit wrong.

Living with my grandmother as an adult and sometimes we don’t get along. Advice?

Me and my grandmother were always very close growing up and she was more like a parent to me than my mother was. My mother has since worked through her issues and become a much more supportive mother than she used to be.

A series of unfortunate events led me to living with my grandmother, my lease price went up and I just simply couldn’t afford living where I was anymore. I had difficulty finding a job as well.

The problem is me and my grandmother have some communication issues. I also have underlying health issues (I need to get back on medications for it.) that make it difficult for me to help as much as she needs help.

I’m also having a lot of emotional issues, quite frankly. When I left the area I lived in, I lost pretty much my whole life (I lived there for ten years), friends, and things I used to do. It’s been a really big adjustment for me and I am naturally someone who struggles with big life changes and I got hit with several at once. I just got out of two different extremely abusive relationships and was raped by someone I knew. It has been really difficult for me to handle alone and my grandmother is not someone who can handle even hearing about those types of struggles, because it genuinely worries her and hurts her, but the way she expresses things makes it even worse.

For context, I don’t have a relationship with my father anymore and we have not been speaking for about two years now. She kept bringing up my dad in ways that were painful emotionally to hear (I have diagnosed PTSD) and I decided to ask her if she could stop bringing him up around me. She took what I said the wrong way and blew up in my face and said incredibly hurtful things, she said she didn’t give a fuck what he did to me, that I was living in her house, and that I could leave if I had a problem with that. That deeply triggered me, as housing is something i have struggled with due to my own parents acting in a very similar hurtful way. That was one of our worst fights.

The problem lies mostly with me and me being quite honestly selfish, I guess. I want so badly for my grandmother to understand me and for us to have a good relationship but emotionally, she doesn’t do much except criticize me or say hurtful things. In my abusive relationship, she knew the guy literally stole some of my most important personal items, and said “well you’re never getting them back” (I did infact end up getting them back after threatening to sue him.)

She wants very badly to give me advice as any elder or grandparent does, but the truth is, her advice is just hurtful 80% of the time. She will sometimes say how she is jealous that I can sleep when she doesn’t sleep at night, or compares herself to me a lot, or she will be overly critical of what I’m doing with my life. I know these are all normal things, but it hurts me so deeply right now because I don’t have any other meaningful support in my life or people I could talk too.

In terms of communication, I have always been an aggressively independent person and very direct and honest with the people in my life. That probably isn’t changing anytime soon.

She, however, never expresses how she feels, she overworks the hell out of herself, and she tends to hold grudges and resentments or do things she does not actually want to do without communicating it. I genuinely struggle to understand her and it makes things very difficult.

She doesn’t seem to understand me as a person or what I’ve been doing with my life, if I do tell her, she doesn’t see it as meaningful or important. I work as a caregiver right now, and she says “I have no idea why you’d want to do that” to practically anything I’m doing. As if I don’t love my job and specifically chose it. She doesn’t even care about it legitimately being a healthcare job and calls it “my house cleaning job” when in reality I am an actual Aide and I’ve explained it to her many times and she gets offended like I’m talking down to her, when I’m trying to explain my job or why I can’t talk about my patients, for example. On the other hand, my sister in law who worked as an EMT is applauded for being so brave and such a hard worker by the rest of my family. It’s like no matter what I do they just don’t care.

I wanted to work on a scrapbook with her, she told me, “just do it yourself” I want to bake with her and she brushes it off, it seems like she doesn’t actually want me there or want me around sometimes.

I’ve been asking her if she wanted to make a pie with me, I enjoy baking and cooking quite a lot, and she finally agreed. She then clucked around me like a mother hen and didn’t want to really do it or be involved. I said “if you don’t want to do something just tell me, you won’t hurt my feelings.” and she took offense to that as well.

What has been hurting me is that she doesn’t seem to have an updated picture of who I am, which is understandable, but she kind of just forgets things about me, like she is surprised that I like cooking and baking when I’ve already told her that I do. I know I’m being unfair to her and I don’t want to be selfish but I’m having so many emotional problems right now that little things like this have been deeply affecting me. This is the same grandmother who taught me how to sew, who used to do arts and crafts with me, and those are all still things I want to do with her, and she doesn’t like doing those things anymore. Another thing is she used to love hugs, she doesn’t really like hugs anymore, and it hurts to see the ways she has changed.

What do I do? What changes do I need to make in my life and relationship with her right now?
