GUI to configure permanent links?

Coming from Windows (Elgato Wave Link), I thought I could easily get the same (more) functionality using qpwgraph, but it turns out, it doesn't actually write permanent configs files. Now I use about 30 different sinks with a ton of different connections / links, making it extremely annoying, because one, I need to write all of that, and two, I need edit a .conf file every time I change something... Has anybody developed a solution to this, I'm unaware of?

How come every Linux site uses Anubis (the anime girl stopping crawlers) instead of something like Cloudflare?

Before discovering the Linux rabbit hole I've only seen Cloudflare, hCaptcha and Google's reCaptcha, but it seems like every Linux website uses Anubis... I'm thinking of it being the only open-source option or it being the most effective/modern approach.

Should I only breed horses I have maxed out together or am I fine just breeding my maxed out one with a new one?

I don't get if it changes the max or only how levelled it already is from the start...

Can we all agree on that the Go 4's design is objectively better than the Go 5?

Especially those weird shaped rectange/ovals for the GO5 text and charging port. I also think the lights are a bit much... The strap also got worse imo.

Should I use my Powders? (Level 24)

I'm unsure as you don't get a lot of them back and I'm switching items constantly right now...

How do you customize Linux?

Any advice for Fedora (GNOME on wayland). I can't even get a lock screen background to work after GNOME updates. I also want to keep my RAM and CPU usage reasonable. (Stops animations when not on screen)

Is there actually any single photo editing software with a similar amount of functionality to Photoshop?

Was using Adobe, realized it was expensive, switched to Affinity. Both of them aren't on Linux.

Props to Wooting for having Linux support for Wootility

Recently switched to Fedora. I have two Stream Decks and an XLR Dock Mk.1. Elgato will never offer Linux support for any of their software. Had to switch to Companion.

I really thought I would have to go on my Mac for changing setting for my Wooting ADHD (80HE), but was surprised by Wootility's Linux support.

Thank you Wooting team. (I only remember Anders name right now, but I want thank the software developers)

Is there a way to "pin" buttons in companion? (Make them show up on every page unless you overwrite it)

Sorry if this is the wrong reddit... The Stream Deck software has this. Is there any workaround or whatever to replicate this behaviour?

Is there a way to remove the boarder when hitting Meta / Super, so it only pulls up the dock?

I would prefer GNOME to only give me my dock when I hit Meta and not give me that entire boarder around the screen. For the search bar I would just use a third party launcher like flare or flow... And for switching between the "desktops?" I would just hit a keybind.

I'm fine with installing an extension.

By the way, I'm on Fedora Workstation...

Gaming and Elgato software on Linux

Hey,

I'm getting tired of Windows 11, so I've looked into switching. Firstly I considered macOS, because I like the UX, but as I'm using an RTX 5060Ti, Hackintosh isn't really an option. I also want to continue Gaming and almost all of my games are rated Gold and up.

My main issue is Elgato software... I'm using two Stream Decks, one being the Stream Deck + with the XLR dock. I already looked into streamdeck-ui, but I think I would just skip to Bitfocus Companion. The problem is the XLR dock. There are some community-written drivers for the normal Wave XLR, but not the dock.

Regarding the distro, I'm leaning towards Fedora. I've previously used Mint, but want the experience to be less Windows, more macOS. Should I go for Bazzite or CachyOS? Fedora also does a decent enough job, right?

Thank you for all comments and help!

When using Radarr and Sonarr, what else do I need to use?

I know I need something like plex/Jellyfin and I'm turning towards Jellyfin, but is there anything else? Do I need to install qBittorrent or a VPN or whatever?

Tips for Freelancer

  1. Focus on only the prestige objective... Only complete the other objectives when they're easy or they overlap. You'll start dying a lot less.
  2. If you're Freelancer tools are full, you can always use one item and will 100% get it back when opening the supply crate.
  3. Always buy as much as you can from the suppliers, unless you're saving up on a Sniper or anything else. If you don't, you will keep getting the same stuff, until you close your game and come back.
  4. Don't do something risky and then ALT+F4 right after (or die). Just play carefully and at your current skill level.
  5. If you die sometimes or worry about dying for a specific mission, use the Assasin's pistol. You can regain it agains easily. For Freelancer tools, you can always take them anyway, as you will lose all of them anyway when you die.

I hope this helped. I often see Tips videos, that only cover basic things, that also apply for the base game, like mug shots. These are some tips I've only rarely or even never seen mentioned.
