I never quite understood when people say a second watch allowed them to grow fonder of a show. After a recent watch of resurrection this past week after the initial release last year, I can say I thoroughly enjoyed it much more. It’s a top 5 season for me I can say with confidence.

With that being said, do you think the writers planned on a second season or this lady vengeance revival may be murky waters?

What role do you think Quinn will have after this most recent trailer?

I may be an outlier, but I’m actually enthusiastic for Charlie and Dexter the team up in some capacity.

What do you hope to see and what do you think?

The music, the buildup, the backstory.

Jill and Aaron’s version of the song. Regardless of how much people dislike 80’s as I tend to agree, the music pick was fantastic.

I feel melancholy, sorrow, and more for a man like Cal. I don’t believe any of his intentions were made with a bad heart. A father who pushed him into a world that he did not want for himself, a time of uncertainty which led him to make some out of character decisions we are all privy to (affair). Finally, the world collapses and he has to escape.

Cal is more of a man than many, wish there was more present day of him.

Great character, amazing acting.

P.S. - Xavier stole the show with his acting, yes, but so did Cal.

I’ll stave off the rhetoric and condescending remarks in the TV show subreddit when I explained Dexter has a “TV presence” that sucks you in to your seat. Grabs you for the thrill. Many said it can’t compare to Sopranos, the wire, Breaking Bad, etc.

Does the series have a nuance group that really enjoy?

I have rewatched Dexter and X-Files countless times. Dexter will go down as pure enjoyment and bliss in my book.

I have never played the game and as of recently watched the series.

The reason it took so long to watch the series was due to the hype then lack of hype going from season 1 to season 2. The idea of watching 1 season and stopping sounded irritable. Obviously proceeded and here I am.

What do we expect for season 3? Meaning, do we know or have an idea based off the game who will have survived? Ellie, main character? Plot?

Season 2 started cool then I started to understand where the fans interest depleted. This is coming from a cinematic plot progression perspective, not comparison to the game.

I’m going today with the family, never been before as first year in NY.

Today is the last day of the county fair and the weather is kinda shitty all throughout Buffalo.

Do they just pause the rides and games, do they reopen once it stops raining?

Wondering how to plan with all different ages since it’s not that close to drive home and go back after getting there.

I like a variety of shows, some ALOT more than others. I started the wire and 2 episodes in I’m confused how this is rated top 3 series of all time. I know 2 episodes is nothing but abit confused. Reacher seems interesting but is there really a plot, not sure, may have to watch.

What shows based on my top series in each genre would you recommend?

Dexter: Original Sin came out end of 24’. I assume this indirectly promoting the upcoming Resurrection season for 25’.

While there were some holes in the story of the prequel that didn’t align with the future, I thought it was a pretty damn good. I remember not following the promotion simply because it wasn’t “Dexter” but I was wrong.

For the most part, I think a lot of us enjoyed Original Sin. Then, they renewed it for a second season only to pull the green light back.

Why? To give more focus on the Resurrection writers room?

Now that season 2 Resurrection is on the mend, I just don’t get why they gave the green light only to withdraw Original Sin season 2.

It provided further context and or depth in some ways, and was awesome to see younger Harry. Let’s not forget how well Christian Slater rocked that character.

Also, how we feeling for Resurrection season 2? Maybe a hot take but New Blood felt more “Dexter” than Resurrection. It was gloomy, dark, I also watched new blood while having a fever and a tad delirious so that could’ve contributed.

I start by saying there are a few movies in which the setting, background music, and character expressions provide a grim pit in your stomach. The feeling where you feel on edge though your comfortably in your seat at home yet uncomfortable.

Sicario - Scene where they are crossing the boarder awaiting conflict. The tensions coming out of the screen.

The covenant - ambush scene but I think the music provided a melancholy esc feel.

What action, thriller, etc movies create said feelings for you?

You can include horror movies but that’s more terrifying to put it simply.

There are some gray areas about spring assisted, etc.

Context: I started side gig work last year and just recently switched to Spark 2 months ago. The pay was significantly better. These past couple of weeks, I’ve seen a noticeable decline in regard to the monetary aspect plus mileage 1.5x. The decline started after the spark app message of changing the offer algorithms (everyone received it I assume)

What were the offers looking like the end of 2025? What were the offers looking like beginning 2025? For the sake, what years and or months were the offers heavily incentivized?

I’m curious and love to hear how spark was before. Nothing like a great offer.

In the past 2 weeks, the decline in monetary amounts has been substantial for the work inputted. Ever since I received a notification that Spark was changing how they provide offers based on the orders we take, etc etc.

Today, I took a $85 dollar GMD order with 20 drop offs and 55 miles. Do you consider this type of delivery? ETA was about 2.5 hours.

A lot of people say “Your participating in the BS”…and to answer extent I agree, a lot of these $15-$25 dollar 1 hour 85 quantity shopping is ridiculous, but at the end of the day we need the income.

Where do you draw the line? What dollar value per mile, order amount or drop offs do you consider before you decline?

Background: 29M with a significant other and young kids. 2 years of college, working remote at a law firm doing legal assistant/paralegal work for years and now assisting in the foreclosure billing division since they needed someone with foreclosure experience, making about 70k. I also work side gig work for extra income. Late nights are the only spare time, as I assume for many of us. I have a duty to make sure my kids live in a safe area and are healthy. It’s what we all want for our children, right?

This isn’t sustainable and financially can only last so long before I burn out and or impacts my kids future. I want more for them too.

Do you go back to school, maybe remote degree to finish bachelors and take the student loans? Get in a trade? I feel stuck and want my family to have a better life, just unsure which direction to take

Coming from other states where it was a breeze, New York has me a bit less eager.

As a renter, people tend to look down upon the act of renting. Maybe this is anecdotal, but this is how I look at it.
Side note, I am not opposing mortgages, debt; etc. At what point do I bite the bullet?

If I bought a home, 6% interest let’s say, a majority of the monthly payment goes to interest. It’ll take years of payments to bring down the principal enough just to recover closing costs. The amortization schedule is wild to me with these current market rates. The loans are front end heavy, just like any schedule, 10 years into the loan and 75% or more is interest with the payment. Then, what happens when the roof needs replacement, pipe bursts, repairs occur?

With that being said, is it the appreciation during your residency that makes up for the interest, closing costs, and repairs?

Do you need to consider a certain amount of time owning the home for the purchase to be lucrative?

Again, I am not trying to be biased here. I just don’t see the hype of being a “home owner”.

What am I not seeing?

I try not to contextualize the lyrics all the time as I’ll have an inner debate with myself.

how do you interpret in eulogies “not all martyr see divinity, but at least you tried.”

My take is simply martyrs’s try going against the grain for a cause that they believe ultimately to be shunned or shut down, unable to spread their beliefs, and in this case results in death.

I stand with Occam’s razor, but please enlighten on your view.
