Can anyone help me identify this older Coleman sleeping bag?

Picked this up at a yard sale this last weekend.

It appears to be around an 80s model sleeping bag. Peak 1 is the model name and it has an extra Component that rolls other items up in at the head. It's heavy duty, very heavy, massive when unzipped (fits on my king size bed perfectly) Feels like holofill inside.

There is no Tag sewn inside.

Can anyone help me identify this vintage sleeping bag?

Picked up at a yard sale for $5 and plan on using for winter and fall camping. No Tag inside so the info I've shown is all I've got. It is very thick and sturdy.

Help identifying vintage Coleman gear

Not a stove but wondering if anyone can help me identify this vintage Coleman sleeping bag. No sewed tag but it is very heavy, thick and durable.

My best hiking buddy loves our camping trips.

It rained some and instead of laying with me under the canopy he decided to sit out in the rain.

Currently hammock camping in the rain with my best camping buddy.

I've got a makeshift bed laid out for this wild looking dog of mine under our ez up. He wants to sit in the rain on the wet grass. Go figure.

Your favorite radio personality/radio story from 90s Charlotte?

I did a post earlier on the favorite places from 90s Charlotte and it got me thinking of all the good radio personalities, contests and stories to be had from the same time frame.

I always enjoyed listening to the queen Harriet Coffee on magic 96.1 with my dad.

Things you miss about 90s Charlotte?

I'll go first.

  1. I miss paramount Carowinds from the mid to late 90s. Was such a fun and upbeat park. Even waiting in line for rides was fun like at the Hurler and Days of Thunder rides.

  2. The Lil Cricket radio commercials. Loved that jingle.

One of the easiest and best high protein meals I've ever had.

Aldi has these precooked chicken thighs in a Thai coconut sauce. Microwave these and add it to some chickpea pasta, add some chili oil to your liking and bam, good sized meal for two or 4 small lunch meals. Came out so tasty and creamy.

Best <$10 item I've ever bought. 5 pack of the moisture wicking headbands. Come into use for sooo much when backpacking/hiking/camping

These come in handy so many ways. Today I was able to use one to secure my smartwater bottle to my wrist so I didn't have to hold it. Bonus points goes to holding the bottle tighter the more compressed it gets.

Use them to keep the bugs from flying in your ears. They can also be used as great tourniquets (God forbid that's needed), to attach things to your gear, tie or hang things up, strap items down, etc. Bonus points also to the fact they conveniently and comfortably sit on your wrist until needed.

Obligatory Pic is of my "always down to hike and camp" buddy Parker, and a Doe that let us get really close to her today.

Best <$10 item I've ever bought. 5 pack of the moisture wicking headbands. Come into use for sooo much when backpacking/hiking

Pictured above. Any brand that you prefer cause I'm not promoting any brands. Hands down a daily use item for me on most backpacking and/or hiking trips.

Today I used it to secure my 1L smartwater bottle to my wrist. Bonus point, the more your bottle gets compressed the tighter it holds to your wrist.

They can be a great tourniquet if needed (God forbid).

You can carry things on the outside of our pack easier or use them to tie stuff down or when hanging things up.

Extra bonus points as they comfortably and conveniently hang on your wrist until needed.

Obligatory Pic of my "always willing to hike" buddy, Parker.

Ps. Pic of a doe we got really close to on hike.

The new Halo release and my experience.

So my son, 15 yo, has a ps5, not me. But we do like to play games together on it. For my birthday he bought me Halo as I have been so excited it finally is out and available to play again.

I didn't tell him much about it and just let him experience it.

He wasn't that excited about it at first as he doesn't really like many fps games.

So when the warthog got dropped in Leaves of Autumn I said "go hop on the back and gun“.

He said" wait, what? You can do that? " and had a shit eating grin the entire time as I drove and he gunned down brutes left and right.

The second wow moment for him was when first encountering the Energy sword. I picked it up from the first enemy you encounter with one and said" watch my screen for a minute" as I went and merked everyone with a one shot hit with it. I heard him say "WOW!".

Later he told me how awesome it was that your NPC USNC Counterparts actually dealt some damage to the enemies.

Anyways. He's happy with it, I'm happy with it. 9/10 game on Playstation. Give it a try if you haven't.

Aldi. The unsung hero for us who enjoy spicy food

I've noticed a lot of times things that are labeled as "hot" or "spicy" are really not at all.

However with Aldi, if it has those labels or even hints that it's something hot, you can bet your ass it's flaming hot.

I've noticed even their chili flakes are hotter than other brands.

They've also got a pineapple jalapeño jelly now that is way hotter than it needs to be but so good.
