Why no extensions from the 80s to the 2010s

I noticed for both Montreal and Toronto there’s basically rapid subway expansion from the 60s to the 80s, then after that, basically a hard pause on any major projects (if u want to count the Sheppard line).

Why did both cities seemingly deprioritize subway expansion and where did the money that would typically be used for subways be spent instead?

Have less time to workout - focus on skills or basics

Very likely I’m gonna have to both cut down on the number of days I workout from 4 to 2 maybe 3 and cut down my time from 1.5 hr to about 1 hour.

Is it better that I just spend the time focusing on my basics - Pull ups, pushups, dips, rows, etc
OR
Use the time to grind out the skills I’ve been working towards - Front Lever, Hand Stand, human flag, dragon flag

With basics I would for sure keep my physique and build, but I think whenever next I have time to come back to skills I will be far behind.

If I just do skill, idk if the gap of basics will result in a repercussion of the skills not even coming to fruition.

Air vs Pro

With prices increased, I’m gonna buy from a different retailer, but idk which to get.

Basic user, mainly for Office Suite, downloading movies and tv Shows, but also wanted a fairly future proofed device. Currently laptop is MBP from 2017(literally the worst gen and p much on its last legs).

All will have M5, 16GB and 1TB:

13” AIR
15” Air
14” Pro

Front lever: How to progress

Been training front lever for like 2 years now and can’t seem to nail it. Doing about 10-15 sets a week in a variety of progressions. Really want to hit this.

Splits: little progress in 8 months

Been doing 40-60 minutes per week and seeing very little progress.

It is just not physically possible for me?

What to do in this bedroom corner

Awkward corner that we usually put our laundry basket in and unfortunately have to put ugly Portable AC in.

Money Tree Yellowing and Falling Leaves

Repotted this guy recently and leaves are rapidly turning yellow and falling off.

Soil is dry. Usually water once a week with aquarium water. Not a deep water, usually quite light.

Lots of light, directly in front of window.

No ties on trunk.

Bike Share needs to Step up

Docks are empty, app is incorrectly showing bikes available, bikes don’t run smoothly.

I love this service, and I understand they are strapped for cash, but last year it was operated much better.

I wouldn’t mind paying more if the service was better.

Could it be osteomyelitis

Recently been diagnosed with osteomyelitis.

But my TMJ has been present for about 5 years.

Could the osteomyelitis be the cause? Not sure if anyone else has been diagnosed with this.

Took 400 mg of magnesium last night, and helped bring down the pain and the tightness in the masseter. But now I have even more annoying and sometimes painful numbness and tingling.

TMJ sufferer for 5 years now.

I thought it would get better and disappear over time, but looks like this is something I will have to live with for another 50 years (less if I manage to last that long).

I think I have muscular spasm based TMJ and have not been able to find a solution as of yet.

I get episodes every 3-4 months. Episodes last about 2 months - 3-4 times per day during those 2 months.

Triggered by anything sweet, spicey, sour or alcoholic.

My jaw locks up , reducing my range from about 4 fingers to 2 fingers.

I can feel how much tighter my right side masseters get during episodes.

Pain radiates through out my right side face.

Methocarbamol is pretty much the only thing I have found success with and even that merely subdues the symptoms.

Sleeping is hard.

I’m so fatigued from the pain and generally tired of being in pain. I don’t know how many more years I can go living like this.

I’ve had to stop partying, drinking - or even drinking soda, Gatorade or juice!

I need solutions, I’ve tried acupuncture, physio, localized anaesthetic, and none of that has cured me. I

Idk what to do. This sucks so much I really hate my life and wouldn’t wish this condition on my worst enemy.

I’ve noticed this a lot lately. But I can’t pinpoint the reason why.

For reference: 160 lbs 5’7 male, 6-6:30 min/km easy pace.

A lot of the soft shoes recommended here and other sites, never feel soft to me.

NB5: plush and bouncy and protective yes, wouldn’t say it’s so soft

AG3: NOT soft

Megablast: bouncy, not soft

Shoes I’ve found to be soft:

AP4

Evo Sl

What am I missing here? Is it my weight? My speed?

Isn’t it supposed to be transit/bikes only?

Taking king street feels like a mish mash of all forms of transit done terribly.

Street parking, bike racks on the road.

Streetcars go slow because of the cars.

Cars go slow because of street parking.

Bikes go slow because of no defined lanes.

What is going on here?
