Gift card redemption, because I don’t trust them.

Hello unfortunate ex employees, customers, etc of US Bank.

Like many of you, I have been burned constantly by my decision to be in any way involved in this horrid institution.

Because I don’t trust these fucks as far as I can throw them, someone look at this with me.

I can seemingly redeem $500 rewards cash for a $667 gift card…. Or are they trying to fuck me as usual and they’re saying I can redeem $667 for a $500 gift card.

Usually I wouldn’t think twice about it, but this is US Bank we’re talking about.

Brondell Aurabeat 3800 ASP-X1. Anyone have thoughts or opinions?

Hello fine people of Air Purifiers,

Yesterday there was a sale on this exact air filter:

https://www.lowes.com/pd/Brondell-Aurabeat-3800-Large-Capacity-Sanitizing-Commercial-Air-Purifier/5018634617?cm\_mmc=em-\_-c-\_-beh-\_-cus-\_-688-\_-2318-\_-lm\_517714-\_-20260815\_hro\_product\_id

It was down to $500.

I pulled the trigger. Seems like an absolute monster, but there’s not much info out there other than a few reviews. I am wondering if any of you have any opinions on this model. I’m guessing filter costs are high, but I am excited about how much overkill it might provide in my house.

X430 jumped off a cliff today

It seems fine. Picked it up and adjusted the boundary inwards a bit for that spot. Back to mowing.

Interesting because it hasn’t had a problem with this boundary all year. And suddenly today it just decides to jump off a cliff.

Retroarch Apple TV with N64 Switch controller, B button doesn’t work

Hey all,

Everything works perfectly except the B button on the N64 controller. Doesn’t work at all.

I searched through some old threads, but didn’t really find anything.

Looked at remapping, but it seems like the controller mapping options are specific to the Switch Pro controller, not the N64 controller.

Anyone have a clue? Thanks!

Go Brewing Burn It Down IPA

Just sharing my opinion that this is one damn good beer. Damn good. And give me Seth Rollins vibes, but that’s another story.

M18 D-Handle Jig $129.68

Hello, neighborhood friendly jigsaw indecision guy again.

The D-handle m18 jigsaw is on promo with batteries (return) for Memorial Day for $129.68

The M12 barrel jigsaw is still $150.

It seems silly to keep the M12 when the M18 D is literally cheaper.

I currently have both sitting unopened in my garage, but I need to use one, or both, today for jig sawing the corners of a 1.5” slap of white oak.

Anyone want to help me with this decision? My gut tells me M18… more power, less money. My heart tells me to love the M12.

Update: oh man, the M12 barrel… what a unit! The M18 just got closed box returned to big orange. M12 it is!

M12 barrel jigsaw or m18 D handle for a sink cutout in 1.5” white oak?

Hello, I am building a drop-in sink cabinet thing, and I need to cut out the sink hole. I want to get the M12 barrel jigsaw because it just seems cooler, but I worry that it won’t be able to handle the 1.5” oak. I have 5AH m12 batteries.

I bought the M18 D handle and Diablo ultra fine finish blades, but today the M12 barrel is $150. I know the M18 D handle is going on sale/hack on the 18th and I intend to get that going if I stick with it.

So what say you? M12 barrel capable for jigging a big sink hole in 1.5” white oak? Or do I stick with the traditional big boy? Thanks!

Using unfinished white oak butcher block her block for garage sink counter, need advice on sealing.

Hey all, long time listener, first time caller. Total beginner.

I’m building a garage sink surround cabinet thing, and I bought an unfinished white oak butcher block countertop for it. My original plan was to seal it with totalboat high gloss tabletop epoxy, but now I’m having second thoughts.

I have also seen people recommend waterlox, rubio monocoat, boiled linseed oil, polyurethane, etc. what do you recommend for my specific use case?

Likely:
Water getting splashed on it and not properly or timely wiped off.

Items, damp clothing, tools, sporting equipment, buckets, and other household items being placed upon/left on it for periods of time

Not being used for any food anything.

Don’t care about it being kept perfectly immaculate

Don’t want to have to do maintenance on it if possible.

Will not see sunshine (garage sink)

Pic is the inspo for the project. Thank you for your insight and thoughts!!

Ode to the M12 planer

This info may be useful to someone.

Got the M12 planer for $159.88

What an awesome tool!!

I’m building a sink base for a garage sink drop in.

I am not a woodworker and have never built anything.

Making sure all matching pieces in my cut list are exactly the same is suddenly the easiest and most fun task ever!

10/10 will plane everything going forward
