Please give me advice

I didn't score a good percentile in JEE, and now I'm taking admission in an average private college. Lately, I've been feeling really scared. With AI advancing so quickly and everyone saying it's going to take away jobs, I keep wondering whether there's any point in doing a BTech from a tier-3 college. Right now, it just feels like a waste of money.

Can someone suggest some other course or career path? My goal isn't to earn a huge salary or achieve something extraordinary. I just want a stable job that pays around ₹50,000 a month so I can get by and not end up unemployed.

Which career to pursue

So, I have the option to join merchant navy or BTech.

The thing is I was motivated to join the merchant navy all along but after some introspection I feel that the isolation which is the core of the job is not for me but the job pays very well.

I am leaning more towards BTech but nowadays the job market for btech is very bad as I have observed and AI is probably going to wipe out thousands of jobs, so I am not very sure about jobs by the time I graduate. My BTech college is a very famous private university in south india.

If you guys can give me advice as to what to pursue, is BTech worth it or should I consider merchant navy and learn to handle isolation.

Tldr: Merchant navy vs btech

College Counselling Assistance – Engineering Admissions

Hey everyone!

If you're confused about college admissions, branch selection, or counselling choices, I'd be happy to help.

I can help you:

Prioritize colleges based on your rank and budget

Compare colleges honestly (placements, academics, campus life, ROI, etc.)

Choose the most suitable branch based on your interests and career goals

Avoid common counselling mistakes

Discuss backup options if your preferred choices don't work out

I've spent a lot of time researching engineering colleges, counselling processes (JEE Main, COMEDK, state counsellings, private universities, etc.), cutoffs, placements, and student reviews. My aim is to provide unbiased guidance so you can make an informed decision.

If you're interested, feel free to DM me. We can discuss your rank, preferences, and counselling strategy, and I'll let you know how I can help.

Amet vships

If anyone who applied for vships and appeared for the ametcet automatically got an email regarding vships interview and further process, but Amet is such an incompetent institute that some people including me who filled the form and paid the form fees did not even receive the test link, I want all of u to mail amet in bulk so that there is some effect. Though the chances of getting a reply from amet is already very low but no harm in trying.

Amet is a fraud institute

They rolled out their vships dns forms in March, I had filled the form in March along with Maersk sponsorship form. But these fraudsters didn't give me a chance to sit in the Maersk interview even though I had done well in their exam and have a good pcm percentage.

And even after all this time they haven't still conducted my Vships DNS exam, one day I called their representative and he said on call that I can't fill more than one form, so I reprimanded him about me paying the form fees and if this is your institute's rule why didn't you mention it on your website, he told me to wait for the exam.

Now even after the ranks have been released these fraudsters aren't giving any information.

To anyone who is thinking of joining Amet, please don't they don't have good placements for BSc and Btech. They just want your money nothing else, wasting the precious time and money of merchant navy aspirants.

I am appearing for the comedk exam, and I also gave srmjeee and viteee but these colleges ask for tuition fees before the comedk counselling so, if I get a better college through comedk can I get full refund in fees from SRM or not. I want to keep SRM backup

So I am appearing for comedk, and also gave viteee and srmjeee. The thing is that these colleges demand for the fees before comedk counselling and I want to keep these colleges as a backup in case my comedk goes wrong. Do these colleges refund the fees or is there anything else I can do to secure my seat
