First injection ✅

I did it! I worked up the nerve and did my first shot! Actually my husband gave it to me, but it was nothing! I can’t believe I let my head control me like that!
Now, praying that I will get better results and less side effects with Tirz than I did with that Wegovy pill. 🙏🏻

Just had my appointment!

Just had my consultation with Dr. Kim. She was very sweet and supportive and the appointment went fast that I forgot to ask if I was getting the Tirzepitide without any additives. I don’t see a place in Healthie to confirm it in the portal. I forget if that was something I selected when I set up the appointment?

I decided to go with apothecary since I’ve been reading about stinging with Hallendale, I’m already freaking myself about the needle and having that in my head isn’t helping! She also started me higher since I’m coming from 25 mg of the Wegovy pill.

So nervous but hopeful for better results than Wegovy.

Food noise and appetite coming back!

I’m in my 3rd month of 25 mg and all of the sudden this week I’m noticing food noise coming back and I’m not as satisfied with my portions anymore. Noticing I am not leaving leftovers on my plate (still eating the measured portion, but desire more). Willing myself not to grab a portion of pretzels or crackers. This had me worried- no where to go up in dosage beyond 25mg and I have horrible side effects from it. And no, it’s not my time of the month- that ship sailed 15 years ago!

Will compound pharmacies be shut down?

About to start my tirz journey soon and nervous about things I’m reading on threads of compounding pharmacies being shut down. I don’t want to have to stop something I start and then not be able to afford $1500 a month for the brand name Zepbound. I have about 30 lbs to lose and I’m a slow loser as I’ve seen with being on Wegovy, plus I know maintenance needs to be considered too. None of us are time travelers, but anyone have insights or opinions?

Should I reschedule or keep the appointment?

I have had terrible side effects with the Wegovy pill (chronic diarrhea and horrible sulphur burps for 6 weeks). I went for my annual physical 2 days ago and my provider was concerned with my blood work - with my kidneys my EFGR went from a 60 to a 39 since my last blood draw 1 year ago. I suspect I have been dehydrated for a while with the diarrhea and I confess that my water intake has not been great. I am seeing a nephrologist next week to get this figured out. My primary told me that I should drink up and increase hydration. Except for these awful side effects I feel fine. No pain, I exercise, sleep well, no dizziness .

Long story short, should I keep my appt with the Doctor on BEWL for Tirzepatide? I’m supposed to meet with her in a few days. I already uploaded my blood work for her to see. Or should I schedule it further out? My primary said I should still take the wegovy. I’m wondering if I will not be able to take a GLP-1 with an unknown kidney thing. I don’t want to undo the progress I made so far!

Which pharmacy should I choose?

I have my first appointment on Saturday and wondering if anyone can give feedback, good or bad about the following pharmacies that will be available to me for Tirzepatide.

Hallandale
OptioRx
Apothecary
BPI

I know everyone reacts differently. I am transitioning from the highest dose of Wegovy pill (which has done nothing for me, except bad side effects) to trying tirz.
TIA for feedback!

Primary Doctor not on board.

I had my yearly physical with my primary care doctor this morning. He prescribed me the wegovy pill in January after my urging and I have lost 19 lbs since January. But along with it I am having awful side affects from it. I asked his opinion on my switching to a compound tirzepitide to see if that would give me different results. Let’s just say he was very against it. He basically said the stuff comes from China, not regulated and many times it’s vials of water. He said they could be shut down on a dime and then I would be stuck. I have spent the last 6 weeks doing research and I know there are a lot of good companies out there. Anyone in the community not have a supportive GLP-1 doctor?

Can I seamlessly switch from sema to tri?

I’m ready to stop this awful Wegovy pill. In the past 2 months the awful side effects have outweighed the minimal weightless I’ve had (3 lbs in 3 months on the highest dose ). I have 2 weeks left of my Wegovy prescription. I want to finish it cause I’m paying out of pocket and it’s expensive, and I don’t want to waste it. Will I have to start right away or is a week gap ok if that happens. I’ve lost 19 lbs since January, and don’t want to gain it back!

I am seeing my primary doctor today and want to get bloodwork done so whoever I talk to at BEWL has my current info.

Anyone switch from Semaglutide to Tirzepatide with better results?

I have been taking the Wegovy pill since mid January. As of today I have lost 19 lbs. - only about 3 lbs total in the last 3 months on the highest dose. In addition to the slow weight loss (which I understand slow and steady is the way to go) I have had non stop diarrhea and awful sulfur burping. for the past 6 weeks I’m considering switching to Tirzepatide. Wondering if anyone made the switch and saw better weight loss and less side effects. I still have 25-30 pounds I want to lose. The only hesitation I have right now is I’m afraid to give myself an injection!
