No DCC Lore Channels on YouTube - An opportunity

DCC's presence on YouTube is pretty scanty. Most of what's there is reviews of adventures or explanations of rules.

What seems to be totally absent are lore videos.

I know that lore for DCC is difficult to find, but it's there. Videos about the gods, patrons, regions of Aereth, history, monsters. There's a lot of meat on that bone if one knows where to look.

If someone were looking for a niche to create a YouTube channel, I think this would be a good area. And it would likely attract people to the game.

The silence is deafening regarding this sub's reaction to the new Greyhawk announcement at GenCon.

r/darksun is a-buzz with activity, equal parts optimism and pessimism, over the new Dark Sun books on the horizon. But this sub seems pretty subdued and quiet.

I take it you guys aren't exactly enthusiastic about the announcement. Honestly, I get it.

What are the concerns? What's keeping you guys from getting hyped? I want to hear what's on everyone's mind.

Faith and Disease - How Far Does the Sky Go (2003)

From the Passport to Kunming album. This might technically be darkwave but I feel like there's some crossover with dreampop.

Just Say Julie

Remember this show? Julie would play videos and make fun of them. Might have been more of a '90s thing but I'm pretty sure it started in '89.

'90s Spawn Action figures and the rise of the "adult collectible" toys.

Do you guys remember in the mid to late '90s when McFarlane toys released the Spawn figures? They were clearly for older comic fans and not for little kids.

My uncle was super into these things. He had shelves of every single one, it seemed.

This started a trend of collectible figures for adults. Stuff like Marvel Legends and the like. He-Man, G.I. Joe and the like were priced where kids could buy one if they saved up 4-5 bucks, but these new figures were like 10-15 bucks a piece.

And the trend has seemingly continued- action figures are marketed towards our age group. Little kids don't seem interested in them. Stuff like Mythic Legions, NECA, and the imports from Japan. Buying an action figure brand new costs about 50 bucks! The same as a video game!

Do any of you guys collect action figures? If so, which? I admit I have a few of my own- mostly McFarlane Conan figures, a few MOTU Classics, and NECA D&D figures. I also bought the newest Conan and Elric of Melnibone figures from Heroic Signatures and Savage Crucible, respectively.

Death in June - Come Before Christ and Murder Love (1986)

This was a song that grew on me. I didn't really like it the first time I heard it, but I kept thinking about it and coming back to it. Now I listen to it pretty regularly. The synth fanfare part at the end is certainly catchy and a contrast to the droning vocals of the rest of the song.
