Dirty Pair and Bubblegum Crisis are equally awesome in my world. I recall reading somewhere that Dirty Pair and Bubblegum Crisis were neck-and-neck for all of the lesbianism between the Knights Sabred and between Kei and Yuri.
- I love the 80s traditional animation hand-drawn art-style like going back and rewatching them again is a breath of fresh air from (NOT ALL) but a lot of generic looking 2010s and 2020s anime where the characters are all lookalikes and in terms of voice acting they all sound-alike.
- The opening for Dirty Pair (Lovely Angels) "Ru-Ru-Ru-Russian Roulette" is a kick-ass theme and since the day I first heard this song I've become a fan of Meiko Nakahara like her music is fantastic and unique.
- "Konya wa Hurricane" kicks a lot of ass too like Kinuko Oomori has an amazing voice and its a textbook (ONE OF MANY) of why I love 80s music. The originality with the lyrics and the overall choices for the musical instruments is incredible and I will always love this great song.
- As someone whose a fan of the original 1982 classic that is Blade Runner I immediately picked up in the references in Bubblegum Crisis and its very much aesthetically pleasing to my eyes.
- Kei and Yuri and Priss and Sylvie have strong lesbian / girlfriend energy.
