Triple A and AARP?

I just got Mail for both, wondering if they're worth it. I don't really travel much, live where there's hundreds of small privately owned amazing restaurants ( don't care for many chain restaurants), and I am not sure I'll ever be able to retire.

Marley, my "17" yo Sweet Boy

This lovely boy has done no wrong in his life(unlike his brother Nermal). Tomorrow he is going to the vet, as he has been peeing outside of the box. I know he's not well, he's eating enough for 3 cats, but still scrawny. Almost no teeth. Sleeps 26 hours a day. But he's been my baby for 17 years, and I just can't imagine life without him. I'm not saying goodbye yet, but I know it's coming.

New boat!

Picked up this beautiful Perception Carolina 14 for $195 last night on MP!! I've been paddling a 10' Walden Sport, but getting frustrated. I've been watching MP but everything was out of budget. I can't wait to get out in the water!

How to remove the front panel?

I desperately need to clean my AC unit, but I can't get the front off. This is an in wall unit, and it is dirty, and not running very efficiently. There's no screws.

How to use this dolly?

This dolly came with the kayak I picked up on MP, and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to use it. I have a 10' Walden, nothing fancy. Is it missing parts?

Garage door tech?

Edit: Ronnie from Midway is coming out tomorrow, and very reasonable! Thank you for the recommendation!

I'm looking for someone who works on garage doors who's not going to charge me an arm and a leg. I had to get new garage door openers, and when I just went to try and program them, the chain apparently jumped off whatever it's supposed to be sitting on. I'm off work due to breast cancer, I don't have a lot of money, and the last company that I was told about charges at least $150 just to come out and look at your garage door. So if anybody can refer someone, I'm willing to pay cash as well. Would greatly appreciate some help.

Most unusual but beautiful experience

I grew my own APEs, and use them for microdosing for anxiety and general mental health. Sunday night, I took my two melatonin gummies, and remembered that I should take my weekly microdose. So I did, and swallowed that with the melatonin gummies. Proceeded to go to bed, this was around 10:15 10:20 at night. I woke up at about 12:24 a.m., and at first I thought I was having an oral migraine. Then I realized that I was seeing kaleidoscopes, and it registered that I was tripping. I tried to grab my phone to message my partner, because I was mildly concerned and then realized I just couldn't, so I gave up and I laid there for about 20 or 30 minutes and enjoyed the most incredible, beautiful light show I have ever seen in my life. I can't I don't have the words to describe how amazing it was. Kaleidoscopes, fractals, in the most amazing colors but it was just the lines that were lit up. You get the idea. And there was absolutely no anxiety, no fear, just an incredible beautiful calm, and is someone with ADHD and anxiety that was an experience.

So when my partner was here yesterday, I pulled out my stash of capsules, and weighed one out. 0.3 g. And I weigh a couple more, and they all average between 0.22 to 0.3 grams. Doing some research, it shows that they sometimes use melatonin after a therapeutic trip. But what I took should never have been able to make me trip. Does anyone have any experience with this? I was not drinking that day, I do take a low dose of Wellbutrin in the morning, but I wouldn't think that that would have been able to do this.

Tub side drain help needed

So one of the screws from my tub was missing when I bought this place. I didn't pull it apart and look at it at the time because I didn't even think of that. When I took off the cover, I realized that the screws had rusted out and it looks like they're still in the pipe. Can I drill these out? Do I need a gasket? I've never done anything like this and I have no idea what I'm doing.

Fungus gnats coming out of the window frame??

So these windows were installed December of 2024. I live in minnesota. The other day I noticed a lot of bugs, so I have been vacuuming daily. Today I watched them come out of my window frame. I live in a condo, and we had all our windows replaced due to some hail damage. Does this mean that moisture is leaked in and there's mold growing in my window frames? How do I deal with this? I have video that shows them literally crawling out of the cracks of my window frame.

No toads!☹️

I went back to the little pond in the cemetery Friday, and not a single toad was there. Fortunately I did take lots of videos the first time, but I'm really wondering what happened....

Very swollen, leaking lumps in armpit

My partner, Male, 62, 6ft, 190lbs, went to his Gp about 3 months ago with what we thought was a boil in his right armpit. Doctor looked at it, squeezed it, could barely get enough pus out for a swab. He numbed it, and poked around, but was puzzled because he couldn't really get anything out of it. Prescribed Doxycycline for 7 days.

About 3 weeks later, more lumps started to appear, and about 2 days ago it started oozing nonstop. The main lump is quite large, I can feel it is deep in his armpit. There are several smaller lumps around it, as well as what appear to be small pimples/pustules.

I'm trying to get him to go back to the Doctor, but we're wondering if a dermatologist would be better? It's painful, warm to the touch, and significantly more swollen than the first one.

I can squeeze out a very thick, slightly bloody pus, but the biggest lump is at least an inch deep.

I have the opportunity to pick up a 12' perception Saber for $100, in good condition. I just want to paddle around on lakes and such, but in something a bit quicker than my current 10'. Located in Minnesota, I'm an intermediate kayaker, I enjoy the lakes and backwaters. Thoughts? I won't be whitewater kayaking in it.

I am starting radiation on May 11th, my partial mastectomy (lumpectomy, but my bf hates that word lol) and as I am off work completely, due to the nature of my job, I decided to look around at possible new employment. I found a position that I would excel at, one of the local colleges that I'm actually attending part-time.

I applied for it, and got the email yesterday that they want me to come in for the first round of interviews. So I will be doing that next week Wednesday, so just a few days before I start radiation. I'll be getting 4 weeks of radiation, and then I still have four weeks off of FMLA after that. If they decide to go ahead and hire me, and it would be longer than 2 weeks before I could start, how do I explain this? Has anyone else gone through this? Any advice anybody could give me? It just feels kind of weird to say oh yeah so I can't start until a little bit later cuz you know I'm going through breast cancer treatment and recovery.

For what it's worth, I'm 52, I work as a custodial engineer but this is a position in middle management running the night crew. And if I get this position, I have free tuition for life. And it would be a great position where I could graduate my program, and then move right into maintenance at the same College and be set until I retire.
