Ps these are real tables they are just rendering in the space where they would go. Also the rugs would change too.

How to design this office.

I finally have a dedicated office, but I’m completely stuck on the layout.
I’m planning to paint the room a dark, moody color and want it to have a modern, cozy vibe. My biggest question is the desk. I’m thinking about building an L-shaped desk, but I’m not sure where it should go. I really like the idea of having the desk floating in the middle of the room instead of against a wall, but I’m open to any layout suggestions.
This room will have to do a lot:
Gaming setup
Work-from-home office
Virtual school
Space for a printer and storage
A comfortable reading area with a nice chair, since I spend a lot of time reading
I want everything to feel organized without the room feeling off. If this were your office, how would you lay it out? Would you keep the desk in the middle, put it against a wall, or do something completely different?
I’d love to hear your ideas, and if you have photos of a similar setup, even better!

How many bank accounts is too many? Which bank should I use as my everyday bank?

I’m looking to simplify my finances and could use some advice.
Right now I have accounts with several different banks and credit unions, and I’m starting to wonder if I have more accounts than I actually need.
Here’s what I currently have:
Truliant Federal Credit Union: Checking, Money Market, and two savings accounts. This is currently my everyday bank, but I’m thinking about closing these accounts.
State Employees’ Credit Union (SECU): Checking and savings.
Navy Federal Credit Union: Checking and savings.
Ally: Joint checking and joint savings (shared with someone else).
Wells Fargo: Checking account only.
My main questions are:
How many bank accounts is “too many”?
Which accounts would you keep and which would you close?
If you were in my position, which bank would you choose as your primary everyday bank and why?
For context, I mostly need a bank for direct deposit, paying bills, using my debit card, ATM access, and general day-to-day banking. I also like having a good mobile app and solid customer service.
I’d appreciate any advice or personal experiences. Thanks!

How can I bring back the shine to this solid marble coffee table?

I recently bought a solid marble coffee table off Facebook Marketplace, and I absolutely love it. The table is about 6 feet long and weighs around 600 pounds, so moving it isn’t really an option.
The problem is that the finish is pretty dull overall, but there is one area that is noticeably shinier than the rest. I’m looking to refurbish it and bring back an even shine across the entire surface.
What are your best recommendations for restoring and polishing real marble? Are there any specific products or techniques you would suggest? I’d love to hear what has worked for you before I accidentally damage it.
Thanks in advance!

Dear genesis……

Dear Genesis Team,

I’ve been thoroughly enjoying my 2026 GV70, and I must say—this is my second one! I had the original GV70 when it first came out, switched to a Tesla, but I missed this car so much that I came back! I love the digital key, and I truly enjoy Apple Maps in the cluster. That said, I adore how the onboard navigation fills the whole screen, and I’d love Apple Maps to do the same. Currently, the middle section of the CarPlay screen feels limiting—just a clock or not fully utilized. I think that space could offer more options, maybe additional widgets or customization. Also, it would be fantastic to have more background themes beyond day and night mountains—custom colors or wallpapers would add a lot of personality. If future over-the-air updates could bring this kind of flexibility, I’d be thrilled. Thank you for making such a fantastic vehicle!

Best regards,

Property Manager opportunities

I have several years of property management experience, including leasing, renewals, rent collections, resident relations, budgeting, and property operations. I’m particularly interested in hybrid or remote roles with single-family rental companies, asset management firms, or property management companies.

Does anyone know of companies that are hiring for hybrid/remote property management, rent analyst, underwriting, or operations roles? I’m located in the Charlotte, NC area but open to remote opportunities.

Thanks in advance!

Help me elevate my space

Hey everyone! I’m looking for help picking out bar stools/chairs for my kitchen island and also chairs for my dining room. I want everything to feel very cool, unique, funky, and design-forward — definitely not basic. I’m open to bold colors, interesting shapes, mixed materials, or anything that would make the space feel elevated and creative.

I’ll also be changing out the rugs and adding more decor, so don’t focus too much on those yet. I attached multiple pictures to help show the style/vibe I have so far. Would love any recommendations, inspiration pics, or links!
