My very first Rosanes book! I have been eyeing his books for a while now, but they are so intricate that I was intimidated by the thought of trying to color them. I'm so happy I finally bought one of his books. I bought mine used on Abebooks.com and unfortunately, the pages are coming loose.
On to the review...the art in this book is pretty freaking cool! There are even some steampunk ones that I can't wait to tackle! The pages are thick, but are not one-sided, so they are not safe for pens or markers. Coloring his art is a labor of patience & love. What I have found (so far) that works for me is to color all the greenery first. Then I can focus on all the little details & "see" them easier. Breaking up the pages into small sections also helps me not get overwhelmed by all the details.
I absolutely recommend this book. There are "easier" pages in it to get you started while you work up to the more intricate drawings. If you have or buy this book, let me know what you think about it! Happy coloring! 🫶

As always feel free to explore previous weekly challenges:
I'm excited to use these in my coloring books
Excited to try these!
Found these with the marker on Mercari for $9 & ended up being $18.26 after shipping & tax
I found this bundle on Mercari for $9 (with shipping/taxes it ended up being $18.26). I'm excited to try them out!
I did this page with markers & gel pen. I messed up a flower & there was no fixing it so I used magic eraser in Google Photos to remove it. Next I changed the background color using a free online tool.
I was so happy to find this today at Ollie's! The illustrations are detailed & a bit overwhelming, but I've wanted to try her books for a while now. The pages are one-sided & perforated!
This page is part of a digital folk art coloring book from DigitalArtbyCindy on Etsy. I used Kingart watercolor markers & a gelly roll pen
This is for the May palette group & the Morgan O’Brien one. I used alcohol markers, pencils & gel pen. After I took the picture I used a free editor to make the background white since my camera always leaves it looking dark & dingy. It increased the resolution after I added my name.
Book: Kerby Rosanes Imagimorphia. This page fits 3 buddy color groups: Budget, Fantastic Creatures & Mushrooms
I watched a video today where a woman painted gesso onto her coloring page so she could use alcohol markers on it & they wouldn’t bleed through. Have you tried it & if so, what did you think? TIA!
