I have a client getting irate and I'm laughing.

There's been a person emailing all day and there's a three-way going with us and another company.

Not much to do on our side, the third company is a third-party software company and occasionally we are running requests to allow IP addresses, it's mostly between client and third-party.

Anyway, the client has been getting more and more pissed during the day as they try to get this working for her. The last four emails are coming in in all caps and I can't help but read them in Jeff's Donut voice and I'm cracking up.

Glad I'm not directly dealing with this all the same.

What can I add to tinned fruit to give it better integrity?

Some tinned fruits, like pineapple and apricot, can just be frozen on their own, with no additives, and they come out great.

Others, like tinned oranges, end up crumbly, with the consistency of kinetic sand.

Is there something I can add to help it all stick better?

Caved and bought Misha.

I wasn't planning on buying anything. I have a few plugins and the QC, so I didn't feel I wanted any.

I gave Misha a try two weeks ago anyway and instantly loved it for my recently acquired 7 string guitar. I had already been struggling to make it sound great, but Misha just did it without much work. It just has a gnarly, B string growl that I love.

I spent two weeks trying to look at the presets and use the information to get that sound on the QC, and although close-ish, I felt it was unobtainable. I feel this plugin is made specifically for 7 and more string guitars.

At 9 minutes to the end of the sale I just said, "Fuck it", and pulled the trigger. Just hope it's not too long now before it's on the QC.

I was sent for a job this afternoon right beside where my gf works and she asked me for a lift home. I joke grumbled that that's 50 minutes I could be listening to DCC (which I'm trying to finish before book 8). She said you listen to it while I play my new phone game.

I said, Nah, you're ok. You'll just be sitting there, sneering.

She said she won't even be paying attention.

So I put it on and she was treated to an >!8-way battle between Carl and Donut, Sister Ines, seals, crabs, zombies, a giant snake, demon seals/crabs, and Quan Ch.!<

And, despite what she had said, she sat there with a face that said, What the fuck mad shit are you listening to? And this just made me laugh harder.

She was further treated to a conversation with Samantha >!which involved Carl stuffing teleport traps into her nussy and all the sexual innuendo it entailed. And the funniest line yet when Carl asks what she can do and she pauses and says, "You mean... with my tongue?"!<

I was crying laughing all the way home. Unfortunately, I don't think it won her over.

Dunno if just playing wrong, but it felt like I played for hours, barely feeling any more powerful. Then I hit a point and every thing just felt like it ramped up quickly.

Near perfect pacing too. I was just about wondering why I was playing any more before the drastic pivot.

Is this the nature of the game, or would I rip through this stuff faster on a restart?

I'm trying to get the remainder of book 6 and all of book 7 in before the release of the new one but life has been getting in the way and my listening time has been limited to my drive to and from work. 40 minutes each way.

Yesterday my boss tells me I've to do a job for another IT company who needed a dog (edit: I meant 'dig' here, but I guess this is a Freudian slip) out for a couple of days.

I'm here now and they just want me to catalogue hundreds of thin clients. Just sitting there scanning them into a database and sorting them into piles. Basically doing the type of donkey work I haven't done since an intern many years ago.

So I'm in a basement room, all on my own, listening to The Eye of the Bedlam Bride all day today and tomorrow, which should wrap up that novel, and it's putting me back on track to possibly completing before the current books before A Parade of Horribles is released.

Life... Finds a way.
