[ALL] [OC] My attempt at 3D Printing the 2D Zelda Maps

A few months ago I made a few 3D printed Zelda maps, and the reception was overwhelming! I really appreciate the love, and many people asked to try to print the entire series so this is my attempt at the 2D Zelda maps, let me know if I missed any! So far these are just the 2D top down style maps, I hope to be able to design the 3D maps in this style next (Ocarina of Time, Majoras Mask, BotW).

For anyone with a 3D Printer, I offer these for free on my MakerWorld! If anyone wants to purchase, I also offer them on my Etsy. Links here for Merchandise Monday:

Got these magnets at the Square Enix Cafe in Tokyo, can anyone help me identify the family in the third frame?

As far as I can tell the first is Sora & Roxas sharing ice cream.

The second is the Terra, Aqua, Ventus and Mickey.

But the third I can’t tell.

These came in mystery boxes so I didn’t know what the frame would be before opening. Thanks!

For Father's Day, I went (mostly) a bit old school with my latest batch of Video Game HueForges

This batch I made

Super Metroid Planet Zebes

Final Fantasy 7 Gaia

Chrono Trigger Present Day

Donkey Kong Level 1

Not so old school, but I also made Hollow Knight HollowNest

I have a backlog of maps I'm turning into HueForges now, these are always so much fun to make. I especially love when I can get the topography right, the chronotrigger mountain shading felt like a chefs kiss moment when i got it right. The colors looking so clean on the Zebes map was also a pleasant surprise, much nicer than I expected

As always, you can find these models on my MakerWorld for free, linked in my profile.

Really happy how these turned out, Happy early Father's Day to the gamer dads out there!

I 3D Printed the Hollow Knight Map to go along with the SilkSong Map I made!

About a month ago I made the silksong map, now I finally got around to making the Hollow Knight map for the full set.

The hollow knight map is 10x7 inches, the silksong map is 8x8 inches, both about 3mm thick. I think I might reprint them to both be 8x8 squares to match better, but this is faithful to the original map images I saw online to start. I also added a border to the hollow knight print for more structural rigidity, might do that to silksong too.

Overall I'm happy with how these came out. If you have a printer, you can find these files for free on my MakerWorld! If you'd prefer to purchase it, I also do offer these on my Etsy. Both accounts are linked in my profile.

3D printed ChronoTrigger map I made for a friend

I haven't personally played it, but my friend has spent hundreds of hours in game and asked me to print this map for him. I think the topography came out amazing, I especially love the shading on the mountains.

This print came out to 10x7 inches, ~3 mm thick, with 7 colors and 31 layers.

If anyone has a printer, you can find the file for free on my MakerWorld! Linked in my profile.

3D Printed Super Metroid Zebes Map [OC]

I've been making 3D prints of video game maps, and this was a common request. I absolutely love how clean the colors came out, this might be my best print so far. And the nostalgia definitely adds to it.

The size is 8x8 inches and about 3mm thick. 8 colors and 33 layers.

For those with a printer, the file is free on my MakerWorld, linked in my profile! I also have an etsy linked there for those interested in purchasing a copy, but this post is more about the cool print than it is to make a sale (hence the free file). I hope others like it too!

I 3D Printed the E33 World Map!

COE33 was by far my favorite game of 2025, and I recently got into 3D printing video game maps, so I decided that I had to try making this one. By far the hardest and most complex map I've tried this process on, but after a few iterations I'm pretty happy with the color blending and stacking for the final result.

This print came out to 10x7 inches and about 3.5 mm thick. 9 colors (Black, Cyan, Blue Gray, White, Brown, Dark Green, Red, Silver, and Gold), and 45 layers total.

If anyone is interested and has a printer, the file is available on my MakerWorld (CreativeDestructions, linked in my Reddit profile) for free! I might push this to etsy for those who don't have their own printer, just need to look into the copyright stance on fan art from the publisher.

I 3D printed the book 8 cover to give it some depth

I’ve recently gotten into 3D printing flat images with depth profiles, usually video game maps, but I thought it would be cool to have a textured book cover.

I printed this at 9x6 inches and about 3 mm thick to match the dimensions of the hardcover book.

Gonna print the whole series of these but thought it was cool and really happy with how it came out.

3D Printed Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past Map I Made [OC]

I've recently gotten into 3D printing video game maps and wanted to share. I can only post one image instead of a carousel, so I wanted to post my favorite of the bunch, which are the light and dark worlds from A link to the past.

Each map gets printed at 8x8 inches and ~3-4 mm thick.

I've made games from arcade style PacMan and Space Invaders, to a few classic Zelda and Mario games, to more modern maps like Fallout 4, Silksong, and Stardew Valley, and more.

If you have a 3D printer, you can find all of the maps for free on MakerWorld (CreativeDestructions is the account name)

Would love to know people's favorite old maps that they'd like to see printed this way!

3D Printed Fallout 4 Maps I Made

I've recently gotten into making 3D printed video game maps, and got a request to make the Fallout 4 maps.

I played it some way back when I got a FO4 themed XBOX One but haven't touched it in years, didn't really remember the map much. Saw these images online, hopefully they're representative enough!

I made Commonwealth, Far Harbor, Nuka World, and Fallout London.

These are all 8x8 inches and ~3 mm thick, pretty easy prints due to the simple color palette. I hope yall like them, let me know if there's any feedback to change things!

I dont remember if the maps are unlocked as you go by a fog of war, so marked it spoiler just in case.

If people want to print their own, they're available on my Makerworld for free, linked in my profile!

[ALTTP] [LA] [OC] 3D Printed ALTTP Light & Dark Worlds and LA Maps I Made

I like to make 3D printed video game maps, and I made these recently. I think the old Zelda game maps are perfect for this sort of technique and look forward to making more. Hope some people enjoy these!

All 3 maps are 8x8 inches and a few mm thick. A Link To The Past Light World and Link's Awakening are both about 40 layers thick (~3mm), and Dark World is about 50 layers thick (~4mm). Dark World was probably the most complex I've done to try to blend the colors right and get the depth to show, and at this point is my favorite of all the maps I've made.

For anyone with a 3D Printer, I offer these for free on my MakerWorld! If anyone wants to purchase, I also offer them on my Etsy. Links here for Merchandise Monday:

MakerWorld: https://makerworld.com/en/@KSkill26

Etsy: https://creativedestructions.etsy.com/

Small Note: The first image showing both ALTTP maps is not a single print, just an edit of the two side by side

3D Link's Awakening Map

A few weeks ago I posted my 3D Printed Link To The Past maps, now following those up with Link's Awakening!

This came out to 8x8 inches and about 3mm thick (44 layers with 8 colors). I find that the old Zelda maps are perfect for this art style and I really love making them.

Anyone interested in printing this themselves can find the files on makerworld for free! Anyone who wishes to purchase it can find it on my etsy. Both linked in my reddit profile!

Another set of video game themed HueForges!

I absolutely love making these. Some are in response to comments, if people have suggestions please let me know!

The games printed are:

  • Link's Awakening (thanks u/Lucky-day00)
  • Super Mario Bros World 1-1
  • Super Mario Bros Question Mark Block
  • Hollow Knight Silksong (thanks u/Tomkid88)
  • Lineage 2 (thanks u/fUjiqq)
  • PacMan
  • Space Invaders
  • Fallout 4 (Commonwealth, Nuka World, and Far Harbor maps, thanks u/AbeLincoln575)

Some other maps I have in the queue are Super Mario Bros 3 and Ratchet & Clank 3, but since those are a bunch of separate maps I have to make them into a composite first so I'll work on them soon.

All of these are printed at 8x8 inches and 2-4mm thick.

All the prints are uploaded on my makerworld for free if you want to print your own, linked in my profile!

For those interested in purchasing prints, you can find them on my etsy page linked in my profile. If you don't see the map listed, that's because of copywrite concerns. I've now made a "custom map" listing where you can just ask me which map you want and I can print that for you as a service without triggering the big corporation bots!

Follow Up: 3D Printed the whole GTA map set

A few weeks ago I showed a 3D Printed topographical map of Los Santos. Some friends encouraged doing the rest of the maps, and I couldn't agree more! Now we have Los Santos, Liberty City, San Andreas, and Vice City!

The Los Santos print is 10x7 inches, the rest are 8x8 inches, all about 2-3 mm thick. These were super fun to make, I love the old styled color maps

3D Printed Pelican Town map I made for a friend

I haven't played much Stardew Valley, but I've been really into turning video game maps into 3D printed art lately and made this for a friend. He suggested I post this here, thought maybe others would enjoy too.

I used a process called HueForge to build each layer as a different color, the map comes out to 8x8 inches and about 3mm thick. Super fun to make I love how the colors were able to blend and pop

3D Printed Link To The Past Maps - Both Worlds [OC]

A couple weeks ago, I designed & 3D printed the Link To The Past Light World topographcal map, now I've finished with the Dark World map too

This was really fun to make, and I think my favorite map to this point. Both are 8x8 inches, but the Dark World color blending added another 10 layers and made it probably my most complex map print so far. I'm really happy with how these came out and looking forward to making more
