Dang I might be a Glock fanboy
Really enjoying this 45.6 that I haven’t even shot yet. Lol. Waiting on my Athena Magwell, and then possibly a radian ramjet to finish it off.
My 43x is amazing to me as well.

Hello. A buddy of mine has a family member who got into a domestic with his girlfriend. It was minor but there is a temporary court ordered stay away. That family member lived with his girlfriend and can no longer stay at that house. My buddy has a pistol permit. If his guns remain locked up and safe, can his family member temporarily stay in his residence.
I know this has been discussed but what were the 2 main lawyers who deal with permitting for 2a. Thanks.
I had a medical emergency trauma accident out of state. I live in NY but I was In PA. I was taken to a level 1 trauma.
The doctor services were 20k and the insurance paid that real quick. They treated it as IN Network as I believe this should be a no surprises act situation. On a happy note, I’m on temp disability right now and there was a 3k coinsurance. I applied for financial assistance and they covered it! Went to 0! Great news. The letter also currently says, any further charges might be covered as well for up to a few months. That’s why I’m hoping my insurance hurries up.
There is an outstanding 180k bill for the facility that my insurance is really dragging their feet. This week. is 45 business days which they say is the max they have. They said if they don’t pay by tomorrow to call Thursday and escalate the claim.
Just kinda curious, is insurance dragging their feet on that portion on purpose? The claim has been showing as 180k, and shows paid 180k but never shows a check issue date and still shows processing. On the hospital page it still shows pending as well. It currently shows as out of network but the customer service reps claim that can change to in network as well.
Just curious if there’s any worries to escalating the claim?
Also just kinda curious, how screwed I would be if insurance didn’t pay or if I am left with a portion of that bill. Can collections place a lien on my house in NY? It’s my primary and only residence. Thanks.
Hi. A friend of mine is an older gentleman who rides an Indian 2019 Springfield. He wants to update his horns if possible. He wants to keep the stock location and plug and play if possible. Anybody change their horn that can drop a link? Thanks.
I had an accident in PA. I live In Ny. My insurance has a $150 copay for in network emergency room. 0 deductible in network and 0 OOP in network. I have 400 deductible per person out of network and a OOP max of $3000 for the year out of network.
I assumed that meant worst case scenario I would owe $3000 max.
The hospital bill was 211k but they are billing it all through different doctors. I was told that since it was a trauma emergency, it has to be treated as in network. I even have a letter from insurance that said in network payment.
Well the first portion of the bill was 21k. And the insurance paid 18k and change. They billed me for the remaining 2900. There’s still 186k remaining waiting on insurance.
Does this mean I am going to owe whatever insurance doesn’t pay? Or is it capped at 3000 as I thought. I’m confused because the letter says in network.
Lastly; I want to wait until this all gets figured out, can medical bills be sent to collections and damage your credit? I hear mixed things on this.
EDIT: The hospital said the 2917 shows as a coinsurance. It was indeed in network and my insurance said I have a 20 percent coinsurance on SURGERIES with a 3000 max OOP.
There’s still a 186k bill remaining that my insurance says shows out of network, but she said it can be changed as it’s reviewed.
My question now is, if they bill the remaining portion as out of network, and I have a 3000 max OOP on that too, can I be billed an addition 3000 for a total of 6000? Or if I hit my max OOP on the in network side, does that apply toward out of network as well.
Hi all. I had a traumatic atv accident. One of many injuries to my spine was a fractured and displaced tailbone. The emergency room ortho said 6-8 weeks itll heal.
I’m 4 weeks post accident. And after an mri and closer inspection. The new ortho said it is fully displaced the width of the bone. When I asked if it will heal, he said it won’t mend, but it will heal. He said the body heals in its own way. He said the same 6-8 weeks
I’ll be honest and say, I have been able to sit longer already as 4 weeks progresses. Granted I am using a don’t. But that is ok. I also can walk fine.
I can’t really say how squatting and bending is becuase I have lumbar back fractures as well so obviously those hurt.
I know I’m very new to this accident. But my job consists of a lot of driving. I also love weightlifting and I can’t imagine laying or rolling on some of the benches with extra weight over my head.
Is there a shot i actually “heal” from this and get to a point where life’s normal?
Hey all. June 13 things changed quickly for me. Having fun with friends riding atvs and I got into an accident. Pretty sure the quad crushed me due to my injuries. To keep this on the bright side, every single doctor told me I am incredibly lucky. My injuries are best case for a crappy scenario. I was out of state and the surgeon was confident I will be back in 3 months and I will eventually be 100 percent. So here goes.
First of, I was able to walk since the day after surgery which the doctors loved. I have been increasing steps since. And 1 month out I do 3500-5000 steps a day. I can do more but I don’t want to push it either.
I broke my coccyx and it’s fully displaced. Was told it will obviously never line up and mend, but was told the body still heals in its own way. Whatever that means. 1 month out and I can sit longer(using a donut) but still improving.
I have compression fractures from t12-l3. They are all stable and I was sent off with a back brace, but told not to rely fully on it. I don’t use it much. This seems to be the most painful right now. I can get myself in and out of bed with minimal pain, but bending or twisting hurts. Again I feel it has slightly improved.
In my neck, a facet broke off of c7 and impacted my nerve root. I have numbness and tingling in my pointer and middle finger. The surgeon said the nerve looked good and expected it to return, although he said nerves can take up to a year to heal. He performed a laminectomy. No fusion.
C6 has a minor 2mm anterolisthesis over c7. The surgeon knew this but still chose not to fuse. He said wear my neck brace for 6 weeks.
So I was in another state so I transferred to a new set of doctors obviously by me. The new spine surgeon got a follow up ct scan and mri of my cervical. He said keep the brace on for 6 weeks total. (2 weeks left). He said we will get an x ray prior to seeing him and if it looks good I can take the brace off.
I did follow up with another surgeon too. Second opinion. This guy seemed more conservative he said I should take the brace off now and start moving. He also mentioned in 4 more weeks. (So like 7 weeks post accident) he would get a flexion and extension x ray to make sure that disc that shifted doesn’t move. And if it’s good I am good to go. If it moves I need a fusion. Worst case.
Now I’m a bit confused as I got 3 different opinions. The surgeon who worked on me didn’t see a need to fuse, my new surgeon just wants a regular x ray and never expressed concern about the shifted disc. And this 2nd opinion surgeon mentioned it.
I know we aren’t doctors here but I’m mainly looking for POSITIVE experiences of anybody with similar issues or really just any positive reinforcement.
I was a heavy weight lifter, and just always doing stuff around the house and projects so I just really am sad with this situation. Every day I hang-on to what every doctor told me and just am grateful I am alive and I WILL get back to the gym. I know it’ll be a long road to be what I was. But small steps. First goal is hopefully returning to work at 3 months.
Hi. I had an accident that left me laid up on temp disability for what I’m hoping is only 3 months. I want to be positive so I don’t want to get into that portion more.
My bank is a retail lender and they said they don’t stop the mortgage for hardship. The only thing I can do is send in the application for assistance. But no where does it say what it does.
I have the funds to cover myself for 6 months if needed but I also don’t want to deplete everything. Is it worth sending the application in and not paying? I’d imagine that’s going to tank my perfect credit too right?
Mortgage lender is cross country if it matters
There’s so much more to hvac then I remember when I did installs 10 years ago. A lot I didn’t learn.
Vertical coil on top of the furnace/blower.
Usually so p trap but all homedepot had was a running trap so I grabbed and installed. Now I’m wondering if I need a p trap. Or furthermore if I need one at all.
Is this right? If not what’s the proper way to do it.
So I have a 43x to carry. So I need a bedside gun/shooter for minor comps nothing serious but I have some friends that do some 9mm open shoots.
Originally wanted a 19 gen 6. But then I saw the 45 and just felt a little more comfortable in my hand with the longer grip. Now today I held a 17 gen 6 and thought that was cool too.
NY has a Glock ban incoming after May 2027. I have about a year to find what I want but apparently the 45 became super popular here and is like impossible to find right now.
19 and 17 is available everywhere.
If someone has legal long guns in NY and has friends in PA and NC. Both states In which I believe have person to person transfer(as long as you know they aren’t a felon).
If a resident of NY was to visit one of those states, can they sell their long gun to a person with no FFL needed?
Or do things change once it’s an out of state resident?
According to the instructor when I took my 18 hour course, you can not use deadly force on your outside property, garages, sunrooms etc.
I’m still a bit confused with this. If my garage is attached to my home, and there is a door into my house, am I annoyed to use deadly force in my garage.
Example, I hear noise in my garage where there is some valuables, I go into the garage and there is a few people trying to steal my motorcycle. At this point i have reasons for belief they have committed burglary. Can this be met with deadly force.
I just want to be informed with the law. I hope a scenario like this never happens and I also understand material objects are not worth the headache of firing your pistol. But being informed is very important.
Live on Long Island. Bought a house last year. Been focused on many other house projects but I need help with this lawn. It looks like hell.
The yard has huge pine trees to start, which I had to remove endless bags of pine needles that were suffocating my lawn. I have to get that addressed but they are so expensive. I am going to try and get 1 removed per year. On a side note I have no sprinkler system.
The first thing I have to address, I have never seen nothing like this but I have a wild ant infestation. There’s mounds everywhere. I put some diotamaceous earth on whatever mounds I saw and they literally are making more hills overnight. I need to kill then without harming my dogs. As of now they are just in the front where my dogs don’t go, so I need to address this asap before these ants travel to the back.
After that’s addressed I think I have to put down a mix of 50/50 potting mix on my lawn and seed. But I’m not sure if it’s too late in the season.
Should I start with killing the ants and working on removing the trees and then put the potting mix on my lawn in September for next year?
Hi. So combined I have about 140k in cash currently amongst Citibank and cap one 360.
Currently about 87k in citi, and 48k in capital one.
I put 50k into citi to get 3.5 percent for 3 months and get a 750 bonus. I received my bonus and then the banker made me a new account after the 3 months locking me in to another 3.5 percent for 3 more months. I had to bring 25k of new funds from capital one. That will end June 15th.
I see capital one has a new promo of 1500 dollars if you open a new 360 account and deposit 100k in new funds.
Can this promo be applied to my existing account if I bring 100k over?
Or can I close the current capital one savings account and reopen a new one? That’s a question I have really for any bank. Is removing your money, closing the account, opening a new account and depositing money the same as “new funds”.
I have the m12 drill/hammer and impact which I believe is gen 2. It must be nearing 10 years old. Not exact but unsure. It’s the fuel version. They still work great but the drill seems to be getting a little weaker.
I also have the hackszall, jigsaw and multi tool in m12. The hacksaw is pretty weak too. Not sure if it was always. Perhaps it’s really just my batteries.
I want to upgrade to the latest m12 drill/hammer and impact. Will it be a worthy upgrade.
At first I thought he was cute but he is burrowing all around my yard and it’s frustrating. Anybody who can catch and relocate him. Or how can I get him to move out. I also have dogs so has to be safe. And humane too. I don’t want to hurt him.
EDIT. I read they can be damaging to the house, but the trapper I just called said the only thing he’ll damage is my garden. If they aren’t a risk to my actual structure then I’ll just leave the guy alone
